CHAPTER FIVE (YOU SMELL NICE)

“How dare you all touch one of my subordinates?! Are you all tired of living?!!” she furiously asked everyone, including those who were just watching. She was still holding Nathanya in her arms.
“She violated the rule about spying…” a lady tried explaining only to have a katana pointing at her throat.
“SPYING?! ARE YOU ALL KIDDING ME?! HOW CAN ONE OF MY SUBORDINATES DO SO? IF I WANT TO KNOW SOMETHING, I WILL LOOK FOR IT MYSELF AND I WILL NEVER USE THEM! THIS ONE IN HERE IS NEW AND WAS NOT YET ORIENTED BY ME. IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO COMPLAIN, COME TO ME!” she exclaimed. She was furious now.
“How can we do that? It is your subordinate’s fault, so why are you butting in?!” Ashley Joy, leader of the Blood, said.
“One of my subordinates before died in your hands. Remember Leila? But did I say something? I didn’t, didn’t I? This one here is different. Anyone who will poke her using his/her finger will have that finger broken. Anyone who will lay a hand on her will have that hand cut off. Anyone who has objections and wants to see their heads roll down this ring, step up. I will not spare anyone!” she yelled but no one dared to come up the ring and seek their death. Taylor is known for being a person true to her words. Once she said she’ll cut your head, she’ll do it.
Seeing that no one wants to die, Taylor carried Nathanya using her left shoulder since the right one was holding Phoenix. She was just about to step down the ring when she suddenly turned around and slashed Ashley’s legs. The latter let out a cry from the intense pain she suddenly felt.
“I forgot to add, anyone who will make her injured will have the same injury as she has.” She said and proceeded to walk away. Meanwhile, in a corner, a man wearing a cloak let out a smile and whispered, “Someone who calls her Venice and was able to push her to this extent? Interesting. Pretty interesting.”
Due to the adrenaline that filled her, Taylor was able to carry Nathanya to the car and immediately drove to a nearby hospital outside the academy since the three don’t prefer the clinic inside. After reaching the hospital’s entrance, Taylor carried the injured Nathanya again and went in.
“Prepare your emergency room. This fellow here is severely injured so attend to her as soon as possible.” She commanded the nurse at the counter. The nurse just eyed her.
“Name?” she asks, not even minding the injured on the other person’s arm. This question ignited the inferno that was raging inside Taylor. She slightly passed Nathanya to Lace and Briana then proceeded to grab the collar of the nurse and point a small silver dagger on her throat. Everyone’s attention was then caught by the scene and the security guards rushed to their place but Taylor unsheathed Raven and pointed it to the guards approaching.
“One wrong move and you are all dead. Try me!” she exclaimed that was able to freeze the guard from coming to her. Seeing that the matter with the guards was now settled, she turned her head towards the nurse.
“You cared more for our names instead of assisting the injured? If this one here loses more blood, I will cut your throat and will let you bleed until you drop dead. Now, I want you to call a doctor and prepare the emergency room if you don’t want me to send everyone here to the morgue. That will be very easy for me. I will also include you. How about that?” she asked the nurse who was now trembling hard. She was not even able to answer and just stumbled to call for a doctor and just like that, Nathanya was treated. She was then transferred to a private room as per Taylor’s command.
It was eight in the evening when Nathanya finally regained consciousness. Due to the extreme blows she received, two of her chest bones broke and bruises were all over her. She moved a bit and she felt a sting of pain on her legs. She remembered that someone lashed her flesh there and the thought of it made her shiver again. All she could remember before being dragged to that hall is that she left their den and decided that she will roam around the academy. She then happened to pass by the Blood’s den and heard some weird noises so she approached, thinking maybe they were fighting and she might be able to stop them. But the thing that she saw was a couple making out in a corner. Due to the shock the scene had made her feel, she accidentally dropped the flower pot nearby and the next thing she knows is she is being tortured in front of everyone and thought that her end has come. But then, a trio of gorgeous angels came to her aid and she was saved. She was in deep thoughts when the person sleeping in her arms next to her woke up. Somewhat, her sudden awakening sent shivers down Nathanya’s spine.
“You’re still alive?!” Taylor said as if expecting that Nathanya will die. The latter didn’t answer so she sat on the hospital bed and leaned closer to check if the person sitting in there is alive or is just a spirit that is about to leave its human body. Nathanya was taken aback, stunned by the sudden close distance between them. She then leaned backward, avoiding the interrogating eyes of Taylor.
“I… I am alive. You don’t have to worry about…” she was not able to finish her sentence when the person in front of her suddenly butt in.
“Who’s worried about you ha?!” Taylor asked and sat back on the chair where she was sitting earlier.
“Are you not…”
“Of course I am not. Tsk, you’re such an idiot! How can you roam around without even knowing the rules and regulations? And not just that. You sneaked around other dens. That act is considered spying! Next time, be reminded to ask…” she was not able to continue with the scolding when Nathanya lowered her head and beads of tears started rolling down her cheeks.
“Yah! Why are you crying?! I am not even able to finish with what I want to…” she was caught off guard and before she knew it, Nathanya was already hugging her, tears flowing like a river down her cheeks.
“I’m sorry. I…I didn’t know. It… was my fault. Punish me.” Nathanya said in difficulty. Taylor struggled to loosen the hug but Nathanya just hugged her tightly. Every strength that Taylor has seems to fade and she just lets Nathanya hug her. She even hugged back.
“How can I punish you if you’re hugging me like this?” she asked but Nathanya seems to not hear her.
“Ate Venice… You smell nice,” Nathanya said before burying her face on Taylor’s neck. Just as she finished her sentence, the door opened and the intruders were shocked by the scene that met them. Taylor just glared and the shock from the newcomers was wiped away. Nathanya had fallen asleep so she assisted her head and laid her on the bed lightly. She then said that she’ll go out for a while but after walking out the door, she felt like her knees had grown weak and she couldn't continue walking so she sat on a bench nearby. She then held her chest and felt the beating of her heart. What was this stupid heart beating so hard for? She can’t understand anything so she just decided to go home and wash everything away.
On the corner of the street, the same man in a black cloak was standing and was muttering something to someone.
