Chapter 27: Freedom

Wake Louchette
Sarah was gone wild as she threw all the tables to the walls, breaking floating vases inside every moving metal cabinet. She kept on turning around on tiptoes. Her hair graciously flew with the wind she created, closing her eyes to make denser energy. It was effortless. She did that with all of her force, and even our securities with enough training and large muscles could not stop her. She swang her body around the office, and several random things flew around her, forming in a spiral. The wind went stronger, with drops of humid waters splashing outwards. As the suspicious activity went through, we tried to maintain our balance by holding the nearest mounted structure.
The emergency sound alarmed.
"It's getting more uncontrollable! What should we do?" Hisha shouted in despair to move away from the situation. She was trying to get out of the office, but the force brought by Sarah's manifestation of her mystic capability prevented her from escaping. It was true for all of us.
I forced my head to face Gabriel, who was standing right beside the door. He was hugging at the company's cemented logo, which was mounted just beside the entrance. Both his arms and legs crossed over the logo.
"Gab!" I shouted to catch his focused attention, but he did not hear me because the wind's sound was enough to deafen our ears. Fortunately, a book flew in my direction. I immediately snatched it and threw it away towards Gabriel's face.
He was surprised. He probably did not realize that it was from my direction. So I waved my hands in a second for him to notice me.
"Psh!" I called him.
His eyes were questioning my gestures. When his full attention was on mine, I pointed to the door beside him. He quickly nodded. He directly understands what I was trying to say.
Gabriel slowly stepped to those swirling cupboards with flashing white lines weaving across the walls. His left hand was holding on to a small deep, sculpted hole in between the walls while his other hand used to reach the door's sensor for it to open.
I glanced towards the rest of my members. Alexis was picking up her make-up accessories even though she kept on bumping into the walls. Lance stepped closer towards his table. I guess he wants to grab it so that the table will not shuttle together with the other objects. It's expensive; I understand that. Christian went to the system area to operate the AI in the hopes of activating the oxygen. The keyboard he was holding as he floated with his right feet inside the machine blinked at a rapid pace.
I looked back to Gabriel to see if he successfully activated the door to open. Unfortunately, he failed. He slipped his fingers that were holding him in balance. His back badly banged to the chairs.
'Fingerprint detection failed. Please try again.' The programmed female voice reverberated. I looked towards the door's black glass sensor; it was blinking in red led.
The emergency alarm became irritating to the ears as it continued to wang all over the place. Damn!
"I hope Elaine and Aniela can catch up here so that they can help us!-" Hisha hoped as she faced me. However, her hands accidentally slipped off.
I immediately let myself hanged with the wind to prevent Hisha's back from hitting the cupboards' spiral tips. I caught her from her front and let ourselves fell to the ground while the wind's strength pushed us towards the wall.
Hisha hugged me tightly in front as those stationaries kept throwing away in different directions, including us.
I was glad that my reflexes were fast.
When I looked again towards Sarah, Lance's table approached our direction. I instantly pushed Hisha away towards Gabriel as I jumped myself backward. I held on to the window's closed edges.
Remembering that it was Lance's expensive table, I quickly looked for him around.
His body collided with Alexis. They both bumped into the transparent glass monitor. The glass broke into pieces as their bodies hurtfully fell to the ground.
Damn! I know it was indeed painful for Lance to see his table broken.
Because of what happened, I stared carefully at Sarah's movements. She looked happy while doing this dangerous stuff. As she spread her arms while flashing those tables and chairs away, she felt even more excited. I felt worried that she might have no control over these things.
But, it was also possible that she knew what exactly she was doing. Sarah's eyes turned into a more splendid look of blue, circulating waves. Her eyebrows became sharper as it curved in both ends. She looked like a more adult version of the soft face Sarah that I knew.
Is this the other side of her?
The sudden splatting of filtered holes above the ceiling opened. It sounded like an airconditioned machine. I looked at Christian's reaction as he sighed in relief of accomplishment. The synthesized oxygen spread around the room, and our eyes stuck at Sarah's possible discomfort.
And as expected, Sarah went calm with a casual reaction as she faced us. Winds began to disappear, and twirling objects fell on the floor. Everyone was scared to initiate a move to go towards here except me. She looked so innocent about what she has been doing.
I stepped closer to her while looking directly straight into her eyes.
"Sarah, stay there, okay? Please, don't move." I said, trying to persuade her calmly. But deep inside, I was a bit terrified about what I did.
"Wake, be careful!" It was Hisha.
As I went nearer to Sarah, I can sense her breathing became complicated. Her jolly face went weak. Her eyelids slowly get close as she kept on stepping back to keep in balance. From her back, I saw Gabriel and Alexis carefully walked towards her while Alexis was bringing a syringe.
When I noticed them, I nodded to them silently, and they responded. Our eyes served as our communication, and I understand what they are going to do.
When I was finally in front of her, right a bit besides, her eyes widened all of a sudden. She became strong once again!
I was not expecting that! I was startled as I stepped a few steps backward.
Gabriel and Alexis were on the way to catch her from her back when she surprisingly swang her hands to cast waters. I quickly moved away from her, thinking that she was going to attack me! But, the direction of her hands went a different way!
I felt a sigh of relief. That was almost! Phew!
My eyes followed where her magic would go. And I was moved when the sparkling waters she did went towards Lance's direction! We were stilled when Lance's table disappeared to water in a snap!
There were vapor waves that traveled along with the office, and the reaction went outside like chains. We were wondering the purpose of this release and if it affects the outside world.
When Christian comforted Lance, Alexis and Gabriel assisted Sarah. She was kneeling while facing her head on the floor. She felt literally exhausted.
