Sarah Codache As the concrete road breaks and filled with mud, my doctor pulled me closer to him. I can feel his heart beating fast. He was seemingly nervous about those people in a military suit shooting me once again after moving my hand to give the dry land water. Citizens surrounded us were shouting as the frightening noise of guns firing towards me spread all over the place. My doctor pushed me back. He held the back of my head tightly closer to his chest as he gasped while making sure that the bullets will not hit me. I cannot react like how people reacted to this situation. I know what kind of weapons these things were, but I didn't know their functions and purpose. The moment was too fast until I saw the man, who's always with my doctor, quickly blocked my sight as I glared at those armed men. My mind cannot sink about what happened to him next as he gradually bent his knees, feeling unconscious. The banging sound of that single bullet was too close for my ears to hear it, and the last thing I knew, blood spread all over this guy's body. "Lance!" The voice of a female in curly hair shouted. I froze, unsettled. The bullet is deadly. That was the time when I knew how dangerous that weapon is. My doctor stilled, knowing that the bullet didn't hit him. His eyes were shocked, wide opened, as he immediately looked back and saw the person who saved him. He left me questionable. I did not understand what was going on! I stood right in front of him as he checked Lance's life. His breathing was heavy while my doctor was talking about something that I cannot hear. He made sure that he can maintain Lance's attention awake. When my eyes accidentally dropped towards the shot right at his heart, blood was spreading out. At this time, I was appalled. I stepped a few feet backward as I intensely looked at the surroundings. I bit my lips, and my thoughts were digesting a lot of things that happened right now. By the time that the soldiers began to make another violent move, it suddenly came to my mind that I should not let anyone do harmful things towards the people who protected my doctor and me. At this moment, I prepared myself to hurl a more powerful splash of waters towards these soldiers, who were positioning themselves back for firing. I can feel the energy ran from my entire body, and my eyes were waving back blue waves. My hands were boiling. I straightly glared towards these military forces in a line. No one can hurt those people who protected me! No one! The surrounding seemed to slow down as I carefully observed their fingers, ready to fire another bullet. When one of them raised his hand to give a cue, they shoot in chorus. I can see those bullets fired in a moderate motion towards me and some of it towards Lance. But suddenly, I changed my mind. I released the power I had and sighed. I cannot hurt them back. And because of the decision I made, one bullet hit the center of my neck. The pain that it caused ran all over my entire body. I felt like choking, and I cannot breathe properly. My eyes froze, and blood was dropping outside my mouth. I can also feel my body slightly stiffed while I slowly dropped myself on the ground. My doctor was panicking to catch me. His face was scared and worried. His eyebrows curved, and his eyes cannot accept what he saw. He managed to drop on the ground while avoiding myself to get hurt. When my eyes were half-open, he tapped my cheeks repeatedly, and his hand was shaking. "No! No! No! You cannot die easily!" He stuttered several times. His eyes were hoping to see me fully alive. I felt weak, and no matter how I try to move my feet, it doesn't. I fully lost control over my entire body, and I cannot stop worrying! But the thing was, I felt happy seeing him alright. The one who took care of me the most was alright. I was glad that bullets did not hit him. A few minutes later, my eyelids became weaker, and I can feel my eyes were about to give up. But, suddenly, a familiar female voice inserted into my thoughts before I lost all my consciousness. "You are as strong as me. My dear sister, don't give up." The figment of a lady with a long gray dress and chignon golden hair emerged. It was the woman I saw the last time. Her eyes were gray, and she was floating above the clouds. When I heard her words, my eyes instantly opened. I felt no emotion as I controlled the surroundings by just using my mind. I imagined the rain roaring down the city, splashing the roads, and lifting all the garbages from every corner, making the people hid in terrified, especially the soldiers. The cold wind mixed with the rain as it flew towards the soldiers. They bumped towards the nearest building, making their backs hit the walls badly. Their eagerness in screaming for help reverberated all over the area. It gave inconvenience to my hearing. Scientists scrambled towards the Mystica building with the news reporters wishing to receive a single statement from them. My doctor's teammates rushed to assist Lance and convince him to leave me for his safety. These people were all wet and terrified. "Come with us! Hurry!" "No! Hisha, you know that we can't leave her here alone!" "But it's too dangerous right now! We'll get back to her once the rain stops pouring." "Hisha is right. It's better to leave her. Plus, we might discover more about her capability in the long run." "See? Gabriel agrees with me, so come on!" I can feel the coldness of his hand on my back. The droplets of the wild-ranging rain kept pattering on my face as every one of his fellow scientists waited for his response. Even though I wasn't able to glance at him at once this time, I can still feel him starring at my emotionless eyes, trying to weigh his decisions.
