Sarah Codache I felt the heaviness of my heart while seeing this man's teary eyes looking at me. It made me feel guilty for not knowing who he was. His words stuck in my chest, muttering a painful affection every time his eyes kept staring at my blank eyes. His face was full of questions towards me, and I can't stop thinking about the reasons why. I don't know him, but his presence was poking my heart that he has something to do with my life before. There's no need to ponder. I don't need to force myself to think that we have connections before. Maybe this man knew me, and possibly he does not. His colleague captured me lately, so there's a greater chance that he is one of my enemies. I allowed them to capture me. Besides, I have done my duties this time. I stood up straight and wiped my false conscience away. I raised my head while glaring at him, blank. When he noticed my reaction, his face looked more hurt. His eyelids shivered in tears, and he began to bite his lips. He let out an air of exasperation while looking away at me. He laughed in sarcasm. "What a coincidence!" He looked like crying, but he was avoiding his tears to fall. Huh? Why is he saying that? His voice sounded too distasteful, but he was laughing. "It's my first time hearing your voice, but you don't recognize me." He sorely said, cracking his voice as he spoke those words. I can feel the surroundings became cold, and even though we were in an isolation room, my skin was sensitive to the minimal winds that kept touching my senses. The atmosphere between us became silent. I was oblivious about the things I experienced right now, and I can't help myself from looking down. I rubbed my right toes towards the backside of my left uncle while pinching my left hand using my right fingers. I bit my lips, feeling empty about what he felt. I was about to walk away, but suddenly, the man held my pulse and grabbed me towards him. I tried to step away but, he quickly hugged me tightly. Since he was sitting at the corner of the bed, and I was standing right in front of him, his head buried in my chest while crossing his arms at the back of my hips. I startled for a second. From what he did, I felt a bit awkward. I looked straight forward to nowhere because of the situation. My hands were shaking as I carefully raised my arms to touch the back of his head, caressing it softly. We remained in this situation for quite longer. I felt wicked about myself, but I was just being honest. I truly don't know you. - I was sitting inside a white-painted small room in which I have no idea where this place was. I placed my arms above the table as I waited for my food to serve. Compared to the room where I saw that weird guy confronting me, the surroundings here were lighter and brighter. Later on, I saw the guy who captured me the last time I stood at the peak of a random building, and at the same time, he was the one who guided me here. His face was full of pores, and by the time he stepped closer to me, I was still bothered no matter how many times I looked away. I tapped my fingers on the table as he put the small transparent plate with a familiar smell of Mango fruit in front of me. I instantly checked what food he prepared. It was a Mango sandwich. I was curious about how it tastes like, so I grabbed it without giving this guy any notice. When I took a small bite and gently munched the food, it tasted something that I have eaten before. The savor was familiar to my lips. I stared at the food after eating them. "Is there's something wrong?" The guy cracked in, asking in a low voice while raising his eyebrows. I move my back first before responding to him. "Where did you get the idea of serving this food to me?" I directly asked while still looking at the sandwiches, seeking each enthralling ingredient. He cleared his throat. "Wake told me to prepare this for you." He answered while making a manly posture. My forehead furrowed. Wake? Who's that guy? I looked at him with my eyes full of questions. I guess he knew what I meant. "Oh!" He straightened his back. "Well, he said it's your favorite food." He added. I stilled. This Mango sandwich is my favorite food? Ugh! I got confused now. Since when did I have this idea of choosing my ideal food. I stared at the food and him, then back to the food again, then at him, simultaneously. I let a few seconds passed by before I began having a conversation with him again. I glared at his eyes and asked. "Who is Wake?" He froze. I was surprised by his reaction. When I spoke to those employees lately, they also have the same reaction as him. What's happening to them? "Oh lord," He gasped in the air. "I feel bad arguing with Dr. Jarvis the last time we met! He kept telling me that you didn't remember Wake, but I quarreled at him saying, that it's impossible. I mean, how is that possible, huh? You two were the spotlight of the issues that our company is facing right now." He explained in a bit of frustration. I bit a little portion of the sandwich once again before organizing my thoughts. What issues does this guy talking about? My goodness! How come I do not know all of these things! I was arguing within myself if the problem is within me, or them? "Can you tell me more information you know about me?" I asked while staring at the food I was eating. I heard him stilled in silence before rubbing the side of his eyes. He sighed. When I looked at him, he stared at me in disbelief. He then laid his arms in a cross above the table. When his face fully captured my view, I was again bothered by his pores. I quickly looked away. "To be honest, it's our first time hearing your voice." He started while I was eating the rest of the sandwiches away from him. But, wait! What? Don't tell me I haven't talked to them? Also, why does it sounded like I had a connection to them for a long time? I blinked my eyes several times before looking at him back. I was confused and wondering about the sudden loss of my thoughts. A few seconds later, a single flash of memories inserted my attention. The scene of a random guy grinning at me while giving me a sandwich similar to what I was eating right now. I shook my head a little and tried to clear my thoughts. What was that? "Is your head aching? Wait, I'll get you a medicine-" "No, no, it's alright..." I spluttered as I reached my hand to hold his arm to stop him. I felt my head aching. My vision became blurred as I glanced at his pory face. I closed my eyes for a second before I continued. I was about to ask him about what I saw, but the last time I knew, I lost my balance, and my sight became dark.
