**** Wedding day. ****
— Miranda —
They say that the most beautiful day of a lady's life is her wedding day.
I believe that's the same for me.
I woke up  to a text from Jose. 
“ Happy wedding day, Bestie. ”
His words carried so much weight as I felt myself melting at them.
   I didn't know just how much I missed him until then. We've been separated for just hours, yet it felt like forever.
But I was comforted knowing we won't be apart from today onwards, though the idea of becoming one with him still scares life out of me.
“ Thanks, Bess. ”
I sent him a short reply, I had just dropped my phone when I saw a ding.
I was surprised to receive a reply to my message. Was he waiting for my reply? I wondered.
That thought brought sweetness to my soul.
“ Good morning, little wifey. How are you? How was your night? ”
The word little wifey, made me blush. though this wasn't the first time he was saying, yet it feels different every time. 
“ Good morning, Big Hubby. I'm okay. My night was cool. I just woke up actually. What about you? ”
She tapped the send button with a smile. 
On the other end, Joseph chuckled out loud after reading her message.
She's becoming very bold and brave, he thought to himself. 
His long fingers played on the keyboard of this phone as he sent her a reply. “ I woke up an hour ago to pray and study my Bible. I'm alright. I'm just feeling super excited. I honestly can't wait to say I do, to forever with you, Babe. ”
Mira blushed at his message. “ What part of the Bible did you study today? And what stood out for you? ”
Joseph shook his head, seeing how she had intentionally avoided the last part of the message. 
I was studying the book of Genesis and chapter 2 verse 18 stood out for me as it says,  “ it's not good for a man to be alone. I'll make him a helper out of his flesh. ” 
Mira ruminates on that verse for a while before typing out a reply. “ God is so filled with knowledge and wisdom, isn't he? ”
“ He is, Miranda. That's why our foundation was laid on him, and he'll continue to be Lord over our marriage and everything that concerns us. ”
“ Hm. I can't wait to be your wife, Jose. ” Miranda sent, subconsciously envisioning how her life will be from that day onwards.
“ Same here. ”  Though he'd already begun to see her as his wife from the very day he got the confirmation, yet it feels different now that she'll be officially his wife in a few hours time.  
“ Let's chat later, shall we? ”
“ Sure. Byeee. ”

The next few hours were filled with activities, as the bride and groom were prepared for their big day. 
Mira almost teared up at her reflection in the mirror. Could she be any more beautiful?  
She suddenly couldn't recognize herself anymore. “ You make a very beautiful bride, Miranda. ” Nanny's voice was heard from right behind her, making her turn. 
   Watching the older woman stare at her with so much love and adoration, Miranda fought hard to hold back her tears.  “ Thank you, Nanny. ”
“ I can still recall the very first day you stepped into our house. Never would I have thought that you were actually there to stay and not just leave. ” She smiled warmly.
“ It's been twelve years already, hasn't it? ” 
“ Yeah. Though it actually still feels like yesterday to me. ” 
“ Same here. ” She replied, blinking away her tears. 
“ Don't cry little bride, you'll ruin your makeup. ” Nanny chuckled, in an attempt to lighten the atmosphere.
“ A little cry won't hurt, would it? ” They both chuckled as Nanny pulled her closer and gave her a motherly hug.
One which Mira needed urgently that day.
Breaking the hug, “ You are not alone, Kay? We are all here for you, alright? ”
“ Um… ” she nodded continuously, being too emotional to even say a word.
Minutes later, Evie entered the room.
“ Oh my. Bestie ” The latter covered her mouth in shock, seeing the beautiful damsel in front of her. 
  “ Hey. ” Mira waved her hand at her.
“ You are beautiful, Miranda. ” Evie was finally able to let the words out.
“ You are too. ” Mira stared at her looking super pretty in her best lady's gown.
“ Thank you. ” Staring closely at her, Evie found herself becoming emotional. “ It's been almost seven years, Miranda. Yet it feels like forever. ”
“ I can't believe I became your friend when you and Joseph had a break up. And now? Seven years later, you are getting married to not only your Best friend, but your childhood friend and soulmate. ” They both teared up following her words.
“ I'm happy for you, Mira. ” Evie wrapped the little bride in a bear hug.
“ Thanks, Evie. ” Mira pulled away, taking the time to wipe out her own tears.  “ Thank you for coming into my life. I love you Evelyn. ” she held out her hands towards her and smiled.
“ I love you, Miranda. I can't wait to see all the Lord will do through you and your soulmate. ”
“ Me too. ” They embraced once again.
