* Wedding night ( 4 ) *
“ Never forget the God factor. ”

— Joseph. —
While I awaited my bride, I got the homemade pancakes and lemonade tea ready.
Thankfully, I'd gotten the ingredients beforehand so I wasn't stranded.
   I had just settled it all on the table when she arrived.
 I was at first stunned by her appearance. Why does she look so familiar yet so different and stunning? I wondered.
She was putting on the Bestie's outfit which was a hoodie and blue jeans. The hoodie had, “ Best Friends forever. ” Written in front of it while, “ Jose's Bestie. ” Was written in bold letters at the back.  The outfit looked dazzling on her as always. 
I also noticed how awkwardly she walked, I couldn't help smiling inwardly, knowing the reason.
“ You can have your seat, Mira. ” I pulled out a chair for her and helped her sit. 
 “ Thank you. ” she gave me a small smile. 
I took my seat and dished out our meal. 
In the next few minutes, the sounds of our snacks filled the room.
  When we were done, I packed the plates to the kitchen and came back and sat down. 
     “ Mira. ” I placed my hands on her warm ones and caressed them. 
“ Um…. ” 
“ Let's head to the sitting room. ” She nodded.
We walked there and she was about to take a different sofa when I shook my head and ushered her to the love seat. 
     We sat facing each other on the sofa.
I noticed then how her eyes were red and rosy from continuous crying. She was also avoiding my gaze and I wondered why. 
  “ Mira. ” I held her hands to myself and made her look up at me. “ Jose? ”
“ Why are you feeling so awkward around me? ” I said my words one at a time, to avoid scaring her.
“ I… ” she averted her gaze from me. 
“ I'm sorry for being inconsiderate last night. ” My apology obviously shocked her as she stared at me with her big brown eyes. “ I should have sorted your permission before proceeding with the consummation. ” I watched her purse her lips in shock.
“ Please forgive me for making you feel used and uncomfortable. ” 
“ Hm… ” 
Silence reigned in the room, and I didn't know why until I heard her gentle sobs.
Oh no. “ Mira. ” I pulled her into my arms and thankfully she didn't refuse, rather she melted into my embrace.
 “ I'm sorry, Jose. ” She hiccupped. I spent the next few minutes patting her back and helping her calm down.
“ I don't know how to be a wife. ” Her words made me chuckle. “ Neither do I. ” I saw her raise an eyebrow at me. 
“ Mira, no one is perfect. We are both learning and that's why we are expected to grow together daily. ” I wiped her tears with my white handkerchief.
“ Um… ”
“ You know I love you, right? ” I said the last part staring at her rosy lips. It took all I had in me not to devour them. 
     “ Hm… ” she nodded. 
“ What about you? ” I threw the question back at her. While I did some tickles on her bare stomach. 
   My actions got her red and blushy. She probably didn't expect me to be that bold. My hands moved upwards as I kept rubbing and pinching while awaiting her reply. 
“ I do. ” her reply came at long last. 
I subconsciously pulled out my hands from underneath her top and smiled. I watched the change in her mood and smiled. 
  I gave her the look of, I thought you are not ready and she pursed her lips in return.
     I removed the head tie she used to tie up her hair and set it free across her head before pulling her closer and closer whilst watching her for any sign of fear and disinterest.
   When I found none, I used my fingers to trace her lips before staring straight at her, I saw her shy away and I chuckled.
Slowly, I covered her lips with mine and took my time to explore her sweet lips. 
I felt her loosen up and before I knew it, she was seeking entrance into my tongue and I gave it. 
    As minutes passed by, I felt her become drunken and completely aroused. 
    I placed my bare hands under her clothes and found my way to her brazier and then, breast. I heard her moan when I touched the tip.
It was very tender and responsive.
    Who would have thought my little bride could be this aroused. 
  Our eyes met, completely filled with desire. 
I was stunned to see her eyes brimming with something I've not seen before. 
She obviously didn't have this on our wedding night..
Which means, she was right.
I did have my way. 
As much as I wanted to stop it right now and wait till she was completely ready. I knew I couldn't.  “ Do you want this? ” I stared at her and watched her blush red and then hiding her face.  “ Hm. ” 
Her words were what I needed to hear as I lifted her off the love seat and walked up the stairs into our matrimonial bed.
   I saw her eyes fill with wonder, at the sight of the room which was well lit with beautiful candles which suited our moods. 
     “ I knew you would be ready. ” he explained. “ I just didn't know it'd be so soon. ” 
Following his words, bits of clothing fell to the ground as two souls became one, this time with the both of them wide awake.
   When they were done, Joseph wrapped them both in a blanket as they stayed close to each other, simply enjoying the moment of vulnerability and intimacy.
“ So this is what God created. ” Her voice was hoarse from continuous moaning. “ Yeah. It's his gift to us. ”
“ Um…. ”
“ How do you feel, Mira? ”
“ I thought you now call me, wifey? ” she raised an eyebrow at him. 
“ I thought you weren't ready. ” 
“ Whatever. ” she rolled her eyes at him.
“ How do you feel, wifey? ”  Mira found herself blushing at his words. 
“ Complete. ” her words were simple, yet very profound.
“ Um. We are one now, Wifey. No longer two, you know that right? ” He pulled her closer and they both watched in amazement how they were able to ease into each other without any obstruction, it was more like they were made for each other. 
“ I do. Two against the world. ” 
“ No. We've got God on our side so we've got all we need. ”
“ Um. ” 
“ Do you still feel tainted and impure? ” 
“ No. ” Joseph felt relieved to hear that. 
“ Did you tell her? ” By her he meant Evielyn and Mira understood why he didn't mention her name at such a moment.
“ I couldn't. ”
“ Good. I don't want a third party to have a say in our marriage and definitely not what happens in this bedroom. ” Mira nodded in understanding.
“ Should we go again? ” he inquired, tracing her collar bones. 
“ We aren't using protection. ” she stated her worries. “ What if I become pregnant this early? ” 
“ You won't. ” his reply made her stare at him with a raised eyebrow. “ God won't give us a child until we are ready to have them. ”
“ A child? I want twins! A boy and a girl! ” she reminded him.
Joseph couldn't help chuckling given how cute she sounded. “ Okay. God's will will be done. ”
“ Hm… ”
“ You ready? ” he gazed intensely at her.
“ Yeah. ” she blushed shyly.
The went again and again, till they were both content and satiated.
“ Let's try not to deny one another of this priceless gift. So the devil will have no gate of entry into our marriage. ”
“ Okay. ” she smiled.  
“ We must also grow in love and understanding of each other. ” he emphasized his last word.
“ Okay. ”
“ I was first your friend, then best friend, boyfriend and now husband. I don't want you to keep anything from me, Bestie. We are eternal besties, remember? ”
“ Okay, Bess. ” 
“ I will also do the same. ”
“ Also we'll learn to put God first in our marriage. ”
“ Exactly. That's the most important factor. The God factor. ” She grinned.
“ I love you, Mira. ” he pulled her closer to himself.  “ Bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh. ” The emotion his words carried were deep and intense.
“ I love you too, Jose. ” She stared at God's most beautiful creation with her red eyes. “ God's best gift to me. ”
They sealed up their bond with a kiss and they both ushered themselves to a beautiful sleep.
Their first one as a couple, filled with nothing but love and peace.
