Waking up hours later, Mira sensed that she was completely naked under the covers.
“ Good morning, Love. ” Joseph hovered over her and left a peck on her lips, just before she could go into panic mode. 
She blushed heavily, realizing the state they were in. the highest state of vulnerability.  “ Good morning. ” Her words came out barely in a whisper.
“ Just good morning? ” Joseph, despite knowing how shy she was, decided to keep pushing. 
“ You… ” she tried hiding her face from him, but couldn't as he held it, still hovering over her. 
“ Good morning, Hubby… ” Somehow, her words brought relief to both of them.
“ Good morning, Wifey. ” He placed a lingering kiss on her lips, as if reminding her of reality. The one that they are no longer two but one flesh.  
    “ Um… I've not brushed my teeth. ” Mira whispered, alarmed, covering her mouth on reflex.
“ Doesn't matter. I also haven't.  ” He sent her a wink, before lying back on his side. 
Silence reigned between them for several minutes until Mira spoke.  “ Um… Can I freshen up now? I don't feel comfortable. ” 
 Joseph smiled hearing her baby-like voice.  “ Of course, Babe. ” He hovered over her once again and left a peck on her lips. 
“ Can I take the bed spread along? ” she inquired sheepishly, though they've consummate their marriage, she still doesn't find being naked in front of him a source of comfort.
“ Of course. ” He sent her a mischievous wink, which made her blush harder. He knew exactly what she was thinking, yet he didn't want to make it easy for her. 
He figured he had to get her used to his vulnerability. 
“ But you… ” she couldn't complete her statement as her face turned red. 
Rather than answer her, he brought her hands to his torso and made her touch the light fabric.  “ I'm on boxer briefs. ”
“ Oh… ” Mira said, withdrawing her hand quickly.  “ And you are not. ” He added, making her blush harder. 
As if to emphasize his point, he pulled her on top of him… causing her to yelp. 
    Their eyes locked and time stood still for a second. 
He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her in for a kiss which lasted forever. 
    They were both almost breathless when they stopped and a string of saliva connected their lips. 
  Joseph licked it up, much to her amazement. “ You? ” she stared wide eyed at him.
“ We are one, Wifey. ” He said slowly. “ No longer two. ” 
“ Oh… ” Mira nodded slowly, still blushing. 
“ And you are beautiful, Mira…. ” He whispered sensually looking down at her. 
“ You? ” Mira had gotten to recognize the look and before she could react, they were at it again. 
It almost felt like he was getting her used to him.
In the end, Joseph took them both to the bathroom as Mira was too tired to do so herself. 
  He left her to rest on the bed after changing the sheets after their first couple bath.

      Joseph couldn't help shaking his head, seeing his wife appear in a baggy top and baby pink pajamas. 
    “ I guess I forgot to tell you, that you don't have to dress so casually for now. ” he laughed.
“ Um? ”  Mira raised an eyebrow, not getting his point. 
“ We are currently in our honeymoon phase, so, it's alright to walk around the house with no clothes on. ” he intentionally added the last part to make her blush and she did.
“ You are naughty. ” she hit him on his chest heavily, though it only felt like a paper ball hitting him.
  “ I've warned you about hurting yourself. ” He commented on seeing her rub the back of her palms. 
“ You caused it. ” she said, feigning hurt. 
Joseph smiled helplessly before pulling her into his arms.  “ I'm sorry, Babe. ” He left a peck on her hair, which smelled like lavender.  “ I just want you to loosen up more, Kay? ”
“ Um… ” she raised her head to meet him.  “ You know that won't happen in a day, right? ” 
“ Yeah. ” He made up a sad face.
“ But I'll put in more effort, Big Hubby. ” She laughed, rubbing her head on his chest.  “ You should, little Wifey. ” He smiled, patting her. 
“ Do you think couples in Bible times had a honeymoon period? ” Mira inquired as they had their breakfast of corn flakes and fruits. 
“ I believe they did. ” Joseph nodded before continuing.  “ I believe theirs was even longer than ours. ” 
“ Um… ” 
“ Why did you suggest we have our honeymoon here and not in a hotel or something? ” He inquired curiously, he'd been dying to ask her all this while, but didn't want to put too much pressure on her. 
“ I don't want our first time to be in a hotel somewhere. I want it to be somewhere we can both remember. ”
“ Hm… I thought so too. ” he took a spoonful of the flakes and placed it in front of her mouth. 
     “ You have to eat more, Wifey. ” He commented as he fed her. 
“ Do you want to make me fat? ” he stared wide eyed at him.
“ I certainly wouldn't love you any less if you were. ” he answered with a wink. 
“ But I wouldn't say the same for you. ” she winked back.
“ Um. interesting. So I have to go on a diet, so my dearest won't stop loving me. ” 
“ It's your choice. ” 
Silence reigned between them as they both had their breakfast in silence until Joseph broke it. 
    “ You no longer feel uncomfortable after it, right? ” His words came out carefully.
Mira smiled hearing him, funny how he cares so much about the small and big things concerning her.  “ In a little way, yeah. but I'll get used to it in time. ” 
Joseph was still not convinced by her answer, but he didn't want to push it.  “ If anything, tell me, Kay? ” 
“ Yes I will, Big Hubby. ” Mira leaned towards him and left a peck on his lips, but just before she could move away. He pulled her in for a long kiss which only ended when they were breathless. 
      They laid in one another's arms quietly as they watched the moment pass. 
“ Waiting on God is such a beautiful thing, isn't it? ” Joseph mused.
“ Yeah. God makes everything beautiful in its time. ” 
“ That included marriage and intimacy. ”
“ Yeah… ”
“ I've never felt so complete. ” A slight breeze blew in through the opened window and Joseph wrapped his arms around Mira to warm her up. 
“ Me too. ” He smiled as they enjoyed each other's company and love.
