    Mira woke up with a yawn, ‘ How long had she slept? ’ Her gaze went to the window and seeing how dark it was, she sighed. 
Standing up, she felt a dizzy spell and would have dropped if she didn't help herself.  “ What's wrong with me? Why do I feel so tired? ” 
Slowly, she advanced towards the bathroom and freshened up, before changing into her baby pink pajamas.
  Joseph was just setting the dinner table when Mira arrived. “ Slept well? ” He smiled looking up at her. 
“ Yeah… I feel a bit tired though. ” she pulled out a chair and sat. 
“ Um… ” He thought for a moment. “ Dizzy spells? ” 
“ Yeah. ” she poured herself a warm glass of water and drank. 
   “ What's for dinner? ” She stared up at him. 
“ Some toast and egg fries. ” He said, serving her.
“ Thanks. ” She added the spread to her bread. “ Yummy. ” 
“ Um… ” He took a seat beside her and started eating.
They ate in silence, till the very last bit. 
   “ How was your day, Mira? ” They were seated on the love seat in their sitting room, right in front of the TV. The broadcaster was having a chat with some scientists about evolution and Christianity.
As always, each had their own opinions.
While Christianity believed in human beings, as a Creation made by God. 
Evolutionalist, believers are different. They have a theory which states that humans evolved from pre-existing organisms and have their ancestry traced to the ocean and that's why according to embryology, at some stages in the development of organisms in the womb, most living organisms tend to resemble human beings. 
   In a nutshell, evolutionists believe it is quite contrary to the Christians. 
But the issue is that, most Christians are compelled to doubt their faith and belief in the creation due to this. 
While evolutionists believe their theories are endangered by what the Christians believe.
So yeah, they are at odds. 
“ Was okay. ” Her mind drifted to Ella and their conversation.
“ I had a consultation with a girl, Ella, today. ” 
“ A break up? ” Mira wasn't so surprised by his guess, since well that's one of the number one factors most teenagers are depressed about.
“ Yeah. She fell in love with her best friend and the latter doesn't love her. ” 
“ Similar to our story, isn't it? ” She stared at him. “ Just that, I was always in love with you but didn't know how to express it. ” 
“ But I always believed you never loved me, cus if you really did, you wouldn't have gotten a girlfriend, would you? ” 
“ Um. ” Joseph didn't refute her words.  “ That's in the past now, Miranda. Let's focus on the now. ” 
“ Yeah. ”
“ Ella's Bestie had a girlfriend before they met, but he kept that from her. She found out later and wanted to break up with him, but he assured her that it won't hinder their friendship. It didn't, not until she fell in love and started feeling jealous. ”
“ That's inevitable. ” Mira nodded, knowing how easy it was for girls to fall in love with their best friend and she included, though she'd also heard of girls who maintained a platonic relationship with their best friend and found their life partner years later. But that was very rare. 
She herself knew how hard it was, because if one thing, a Best friend can be similar to a spouse, just the intimacy part excluded. 
“ Though I honestly wonder why she fell in love with him, from her words, I figured that he wasn't that caring and loving. She spoke about the tons of unanswered calls and texts, the days he ignored her existence in the name of  being busy, the times where she expected him to stand up for her and he didn't, the not being there and so on. ” 
   “ I'm sure you know that it's possible to be in love with someone who doesn't feel the same, right? ”
“ Yeah. That's why there are lots of toxic relationships out there. It makes me wonder why ladies stay in relationships and why their worth is not known and acknowledged. ”
   “ Fear of loneliness. ” 
Mira nodded at his answer.  “ When he broke up with his girlfriend, she felt a bit happy as she'd always believed the latter was the reason why her Bestie hadn't had her time. But she was wrong. ” 
“ Hm… ” 
“ Infact, it only got worse and she wondered what was going on until he finally confessed to her that he wasn't in love with her. ” 
“ Hm… ”
“ I can't even imagine how much that hurts. Like seriously! ”
“ You experienced it once, haven't you? ”
“ I did. But It was different. I had always felt loved and cared for by you, but you called it all off by getting into a relationship. ” 
“ Don't you think that hurts more? ”
“ Probably, but Ella had always hoped that one day it will be better and she'll be able to finally smile again. ” 
   “ What's her decision? ”
“ She's still unsure. ”
“ I believe she'll figure it out soon. ”
“ I really hope so too. ” The solemnity in her voice couldn't be hidden and he sighed, the very first time Mira informed him that she wanted to be a clinical psychologist. He wasn't convinced. In fact, he thought of stopping her from following through given how super emotional she was. 
But then, he figured that stopping her would be like not allowing her to fulfill her dreams. 
     So instead of trying to stop her, he decided to support her fully and help her in every way he could.
Though she was very emotional, he figured she could still pull through as long as she got someone who was less emotional than her and that's where he came in. 
Being that emotional coverage for her, helping her decipher issues and seeing them from a different point of view. 
He often tried not to think for her, since well. She was the psychologist and not him after all. 
But yeah, he made sure to guide her. 
“ What's your definition of love, Jose? ” 
“ Passion, commitment, loyalty and sacrifice. Though the best definition would be 1 Corinthians 13. ”
“ Exactly. ”
“ I do believe it's almost impossible to love someone enough, if one hasn't found God. ”
“ Because God Is love. ” 
“ Yeah. ” 
“ Let's say a prayer for Ella shall we? ”
“ Sure. ” They went on to pray for her as they planned to.
At the end, they were filled with so much peace and tranquility. 
“ She'll be okay, Babe. ” He pecked her.
“ Yeah, God is in control. ” She smiled.
