Chapter 65

Ava's POV
“Ava, you don't know my nanny as I do. She is a green snake under the green grass.“
We both know she is a snake, why emphasize her species? He is so mean.
“I can prove my innocence to you. I know where he is. The guy with sparkling brown eyes just like yours, I know his current location“ The old woman said pointing her crooked finger at my eye.
Could that be my brother, Lucas? I would be so glad.
“Ugh… there she goes, telling all sorts of tales.“ The three-eyed monster announced.
“Will you please keep it to yourself? We are having a serious conversation here.“
The three-eyed monster grumbled folding his arms at his chest region.
I ignored the three-eyed monster's statement. He is just blabbering nonsense, he's probably jealous that I am talking smoothly to his nanny.
“Can you please lead us to his location, Nanny?“ I asked politely, pleading with my eyes meeting hers.
“Sure,” a smile crept on her face as she flung her walking cane on the floor, propelling it with rapid movements with her arm.
I followed the came she flung with my eyes.
“Oh, come on. Can't you just stay as human?“ The three-eyed monster rolled his eyes hitting his foot on the ground.
I turned to the old woman's position only to see a bald eagle in her position.
“Where is Nanny Lamar?“ I queried, the three-eyed monster chin up.
“Ava, she is the eagle before you. I told you my nanny is up to no good. She has a half-demon in her“ he mentioned.
I glared at him, shunning him. He is so distracting, drawing my attention away from his nanny is not helping a bit! Lamar having a half-demon in her, doesn't mean she does not have feelings also.
Lamar transforming into a bald eagle undoubtedly has the required qualities of finding my missing brother.
A bald eagle's eyesight is far sharper than that of a human, in this form she would be able to see an ant from a very far distance.
“Thanks for your time Lamar. Let's go find Lucas.“ I let out with a smile. Finally, someone is out there searching for possible outcomes to find Lucas.
Lamar moved through the landscape by soaring, she held her winds outward, rarely flapping until she had her flight.
I grabbed the three-eyed monster's arm pulling him closer as we both ran after Lamar that was in the air. We kept looking up, at the sky to trail Lamar.
Lamar came down through the air resting on the ground in front of a very huge cave caged with chains, spikes, and metal. The three-eyed monster and I pants heavily as we both paused before the caged cave, we ran fast to be able to catch up with Lamar.
“He is in here,” Lamar said.
“How do we get in there? The entrance is caged with some harmful substances.“ He uttered.
“We can break in,” I suggested, the three-eyed monster touches the cage to bend it open but instead he got electroshock.
His awesome hairstyle got damaged as it was put up, and his hands were glued to the cage.
“Let go of the electrical source,” I yelled
I froze unable to think of how to save him.
Lamar grabbed a rock and threw it at his arm which disengaged his touch from the cage.
“Are you alright?“ I questioned trying to touch him but the electrocuted current shocked me also as my skin touched him. I jerked staying away from him.
“Do I look like I am alright to you?“ The three-eyed monster grunts. Answering a question with another question? So rude, I was only trying to care about him.
I feel helpless, right now. How can I get us in there? I looked at the cave as I couldn't think of a thing. Ava, stop being anxious. You can do this.
“I have an idea, I will get in there.“ Lamar said before she transformed into a colorful butterfly, a smaller one. Great, meeting Lamar is a blessing. She has a solution to everything. Lamar's transformed butterfly size is the exact size that fits in the cage without touching metal or the gate.
Lamar got into the cave thanks to her lovely powers.
“Great job, nanny. Get us in now, please” I implored. She transformed into her human form in the cave, chanting some spells, moving her fingers as sparkles moves along with her fingers.
“Blah…. Heed to my command.“ I could only understand her last statement, all I wish is to protect my brother. Why would he come to the thunderous island at first? Even if he wants to stay away from me because of my unpleasant and I-welcomed behaviors, it's cool but not on a cursed island. There is a lot of creepy star stuffer I will nag about all these to him when I set my eyes, he has a lot of explanation to do.
The cage clatters on the floor, giving way for an entrance for us to go in.
“You could at least break all the chains, now we have to crawl in like a dog?“ The three-eyed monster complained.
“It seems I got exhausted from the long flight, I do not think I have the powers to break more chains. I tried my possible best.“ The old woman muttered with her shoulders dropped and her eyes full of tears but she couldn't let it out.
“It's fine Lamar, you tried a lot and we appreciate it.“
“Seriously? Please tell me you are joking, Ava. Her possible best is not good enough. Do you expect to…” I nudged him which made him frown and stop making Lamar feel bad.
“Don't feel bad, Lamar. We love you.“ I whispered to her.
“But… but you never told me you love me, why saying those sweet words to my cunning nanny?“ The three-eyes monster blurted out but like always, I ignored him.
I bent down, laying on the floor horizontally as I crawled involved. It sure looks dark in there. Lamar's eyes were sunken into her eye sockets and there were dark circles underneath her eyes, she must be so exhausted. Poor old lady, she is even trying to save me despite being in this terrible condition.
“L… let's go save…” Lamar had a slurred speech before she became dizzy falling on my arms.
“Lamar passed out, help.“ I yelled.
