Ava's POV
The three-eyes monster hurriedly crawled into the cave, he sprinkled some water from a jar that I drank from at first. He lost grip of the jar, grabbed Lamar by the shoulder, and placed his palm on Lamar's neck region trembling.
“Her temperature dropped, I don't think she can walk all the way, we have to carry her along.” the three-eyed monster let out.
Lamar's eyes slowly opens but her breathing became dormant. I hope she's alright
“Lamar! Nanny! Are you there?“
“Can you turn into something a bit smaller so we can carry you along without any stress,” the three-eyed monster said.
Lamar grunts as she transformed into a hamster.
The three-eyed monster placed Lamar on his shoulder, she's looks extremely tired. Yeah, good thinking. That will save her the stress from walking.
“Hello? Is anyone there?“ My voice echoed as we walked into the cave. It is like a big tunnel.
“Do you think anyone is here?“ The three-eyed monster let out. The cave is void, we need to explore more. Human skulls and skeletons hung and laid on the floor scare me more, what if…. No, don't have negative thoughts. I believe Lucas is whole and hearty.
“Ava, I don't think this place is safe for you. Please get out of this cave, it looks dangerous. I will look for Lucas myself.“ The three-eyed monster let out as we saw a decaying feminine body on the flat ground that tiny insects were feeding on.
I took a good look at the body, I furrowed my brows wondering how the person died despite having no scar or injury. It seems the person was poured acid. Gosh, I feel bad for her, she died a very painful death but would do this to this poor lady, she is human.
“It's my brother we are searching for, not yours.“ I let out. I understand he is trying to show him care and affection but it's so annoying for him to tell me to stay outside because of the dead bodies all around.
Did he think I am a weakling?
“Lucas is also related to me, he is my brother-in-law and I care about him too. Since his wellbeing is your happiness then he is mine also.“ The three-eyed monster said, smiling.
I don't trust him one bit, a monster lending a helping hand after forcing him to tie the knot with him? It seems he has a devilish plan and I must outsmart him. I can't let an opposite gender play my heart and get the best anymore.
“Help!“ A feeble voice echoed from the cave.
“Lamar, did you hear that?“ I asked, turning to the three-eyed monster. I nod my head negatively as I saw Lamar snoring on the three eyes monster's shoulder. She is snoring but she is a different one, I chuckled.
“Lamar this, Lamar that, always Lamar! Did I tell you that I'm deaf or paralyzed?“ The three-eyed monster said with an ur expression and tight lips, crossing his arms.
Probably!
“Help!“ The feeble voice let out again.
“It's that way,” I let out as I noticed the position the voice was coming from. I ran after the voice, and the three-eyed monster followed with Lamar snoring on his shoulder.
I could sense grieving, agony, and pain closer. I could feel my clan in pain. We must be closed then.
“Lucas?“ I said as my eyes met Lucas, Jane, and some mermaids from my clan including Sam, my clan's seer.
Lucas looked away as he mentioned his name, I understand he does not want to speak to me anymore but we all have to get out of here. We need to communicate, to get the hell out of here.
I don't even understand what happened, who chained the,m and why were they chained.
Could it be… I gasped. The dark Jinn? Did he get here before me? But why would he chain them? The dark Jinn does not capture creatures, instead, he devours at first sight.
They were all scared, I could see the fear in their eyes. They were all trembling and crying hard. Seeing me shouldn't make them more scared, ain't they excited to see me? Aren't they excited to see a heroine, perhaps? Or is it the three-eyed monster scaring them?
Their clothing is torn and their eyes are sullen. I became sad as I sighted a thousand baskets of pearls. They cried all these pearls. I must save them today and I will teach whosoever tried this a very good lesson.
“I'm here to release you all, how did you all get here anyways?“ I said as I moved closer to them and the three-eyed monster followed.
“Sage, stay away from us.“ Jane gnashed her teeth at me, beside her was a newborn female child who looks exactly like her, it seems she just b bed S.ge? I looked around me, there is no Sage here. Sage died a long time ago.
“Do you think you can cage us like this forever, I'm very sure my sister, Ava will come to save us from this bondage one day.“ Lucas said.
“This is your sister, Ava” The three-eyed monster tried convincing them but they were more scared.
“I don't care about what you call me, all I want is to save you all.“ I said. I didn't know I would see them all in danger, I was only after Lucas. Thanks to Lamar, I found them on time. At least I can't find traces of the dark Jinn here.
The three-eyed monster opened his eyes melting the chains, he should have done that to those spikes and metals we saw before we got into this cave he does not know how to use his powers efficiently, he just made Lamar weak for no reason.
“Lucas,” I said spreading my arms and running to Lucas. He opened his arms also, hugging me.
“I'm so sorry for everything I did back then.“ I whimpered trying not to let out the tears in my watery eyes.
“Ava, you are my sister. Guys, she is not Sage.“ Lucas confessed. Others walked closer to me hugging me. I missed them so much, my only family.
“Well, who do we have here?“ A voice echoed, that voice sounds familiar. I disengaged from the hug. I froze as I sighted Sage walking towards us.
Gosh, she is still alive.
