Ava's POV
“Sage?“ The three-eyed monster gnashed his teeth glaring at Sage.
“Come on, don't be surprised to see me.“ Sage uttered with a smirk on her face. She is on a black hoodie.
“I'm so glad to see you, Ava. It seems you regained your identity but I don't think you will have anyone to lead because these merpersons are mine. It's either they stay alive or they leave here and I kill them. It takes me a second to murder a thousand soldiers and you know about that.“ Sage laughed loudly.
“Lucas, take everyone to safety. I will take care of her.“ I chin out, standing tall with my arms out ready to fight. I will stay and distract her while they will all run for their dear lives.
“No, I can't leave without you. I can't bear to stay away from you for another minute. I will fight with you, Ava.“ Lucas said as he stood beside me puffing out his chest. He balled his fist and moved to my front, closer to Sage.
“If you want to hurt anyone, you have to go through me, first.“ Lucas uttered.
What the heck? I want to protect him not watch him protect me.
Sage laughed loudly.
“An ant protecting a cockroach” she scoffed.
Everyone looked confused. I understand her parables, we might look weak outside but we are strong and mighty. No one should ever belittle a girl who raised her younger brother and herself at a very young age after her parents dismiss her. She is a very strong lady, she is a thousand mighty men in one and I am here. I am that girl, that lady.
But… I don't want my clan to be in danger any longer. I am the leader and I must take out garbage like Sage. It's my cross to think about my clan first and safeguard them at all times.
The ocean has soldiers but I don't wish to put their lives at risk, they all have families. I don't want them to moan again.
I have to let my clan out of this cave, out of this island but how?

My clan moved closer dy to fight back.

“Why are you doing this, Sage? Don't you have a heart? What do you want from us?“ I questioned, I would be glad if I can offer her something in exchange for our freedom.
I don't want bloodshed. How would we be able to fight her with her poisonous skin? It's not advisable to stay near her talkless of touching her, her skin is toxicant and can murder any being except the three-eyed monster.
He is immune to her poisonous skin.
Sage ran closer to me, I got shocked with the anticipation that she touched me with her poisonous skin but she only stood beside me.
A gasp filled the cave.
I took a glimpse at my clan, they step back fixing their gaze on me. What happened? I took a look at my side, my jaw dropped as I discovered a look-alike beside me, she has all my characteristics.
“Stay away from us, Sage!“ Sage uttered as she clenched her fist closer to my face, she had a smirk on her face. What the heck! Is she trying to play us?
“Guys, I'm Ava. She's the imposter.“ I let out pointing at Sage. They looked at me with disbelief in their eyes. I studied Sage with a predator's unwavering action.
Her facial expression shifted, she looks naive as she turned to the three-eyed monster.
“What are you waiting for? Eliminate her.“
What? Eliminate me? So that was her plan all along. She wants me dead.
“No, I'm Ava. I swear.“ I swore.
The three-eyed monster looked at me with burning rage in his eyes, his eyes narrowed to slits.
Please believe me, I am Ava. What can I do to prove my identity to them?
His third eye slightly opened, do you know what happens when it completely opens? I will no longer exist, my body will become ashes. I couldn't control my shivers until the hamster, Lamar yelled on the three-eyed monster's shoulder.
“Stop!“
The three-eyed monster's third eye shuts.
“What is it, nanny?“
“That's Ava,” Lamar said pointing her tiny claws at me. Finally! I smiled nodding positively.
“No, Lamar. Why would you even think that's Ava? She is in the position Sage was before she transformed. Well done, Sage. You think you can confuse us.“ The three-eyed monsters said pointing at my face.
“The golden bracelet, take a look at the golden bracelet” Lamar uttered.
Yeah, the golden bracelet Nicole offered to us before we left his shank.
The bracelet is still with me, it's a golden bracelet on my arm but not on Sage's arm, it has a different color on her arm which is red.
The three-eyed monsters looked at me,
“Oh, come on. Who is this talking hamster that ruined my brilliant plan?“ Sage grumbled as she transformed into her normal shape.
Sage narrowed her eyes, she got a vertical wrinkle between her eyebrow. I guess she is so mad, right now.
The golden bracelet on my arm starts to shine.
What does it mean? I have no idea what the bracelet is trying to communicate to us. I am clueless.
Gosh! Nicole didn't tell us how it works. I was in such a hurry that I forgot to ask about the bracelet.
“Ava, I think the dark Jinn is near.“ The three-eyed monster let out, trying to catch his breath.
“So? Are you scared of a jinn, love?“ Sage steely-eyed the three-eyed monster.
What? What do we do? Do we need to get the hell out of here? I glanced around, cracking my head thinking hard.
“Argh…” we all screamed as a bright light appeared before us obstructing our eyesight and deflecting our movements. My eyes locked on like a magnet, and I screwed my eyes shut.
