Ava's POV
“Where are we?“ A quiet voice let out. I opened my eyes and heaved a sigh of relief.
“Phew!”
I became fully aware we are in front of Nicole's shank.
“Is everyone alright?“ I questioned, worried about my clan.
“Yes, we are all here. I guess the golden bracelet made us teleport back home.“ The three-eyed monsters let out.
I smiled hearing that, what a relief! I am so excited about that good news.
“What about Sage, did we lose contact with her?“
“Yes,”
“Ava, I thought I was going to lose you. I guess I was wrong?“ He announced as he holds my hand, locking his fingers with mine. I took a deep breath in, gasping.
I wanted to jerk away from him but I think he deserves more than that, he deserves a hug for helping me, he saved my life, he saved my clan. He helped out of the Mumanji island.
I was about to extend my arms in the air over a wide expanse of space to give him a big hug and clasp him tightly in my arms, a thank you hug.
“Would you be into a side hug?“ I let out with a big smile on my face and he smiled back, his smile was as cold and lovely as frost on a windowpane.
“Yes, I crave to embrace you.“ The three-eyed monster said. I took a step closer to him, allowing a little gap in between us. Lisa came from nowhere, hitting her shoulder against mine, and pushing me. She stood in between us, making the three-eyed monster fingers and mine unlock.
She had a competitive and querulous stare at me before she hugged her husband, the three-eyed monster.
“Thank goodness, you are back. I hope nothing happened between you two. Well nothing can happen, I was praying all day for you to keep your distance from this husband snatcher, Ava.“ Lisa said hurling insults at me.
“Lisa, I'm back now. So stop hurling insults at your sister. She was of great help to find my nanny even when I don't want her here.“ The three-eyed monster said as he took Lamar with his arm, Lamar is still in her hamster form and awake. It's like she regained her strength after having some rest on the three-eyed monster's shoulder.
“Your nanny? Do you mean you were raised by a hamster?“ Lisa scoffed, laughing loud.
Lamar transformed to her human form looking furious.
“She is a witch?“ Lisa asked looking worried.
“ Of course,”
A smile crept on Lisa's worried face. Lamar grunts.
I wanted to reply, giving her a taste of her own medicine but I am not bothered about the words that emit from her mouth anymore and I'm not interested in their family affairs, I don't think of myself as a member.
I neglected her reaction toward me earlier because I don't want to argue over silly things.
I examined the totality of my surroundings hastily searching haphazardly for him.
I hung back as my gaze met Lucas whole and healthy, I blinked my eyes slowly and my eyes were still on Lucas, he looks cheerful, and he probably forgave me.
I ran towards him and hug him tightly, I shut my teary eyes. I am so happy, I'm finally with my brother. My only family, Lisa doesn't love us, she is not part of us, and she has only hatred in her heart for us.
“Mummy” Derek shouts out of joy as his tiny hands hugged my legs.
I disengaged from the hug with Lucas touching Derek, patting his back, I missed him too especially Daniel, goodness knows how he is faring. I thought I will never see my sons again, but I guess I was wrong.
Lucas knelt, touching Derek's cheek
“He is my niece, right?“
I nod positively.
“Come to me, I'm your uncle.“ Lucas said as he knelt wrapping his arms around Derek.
Jane walked toward me a worried look worn on her face. “I am so sorry.“ She apologized.
“For?“ I became curious, about what did she do wrong. She has been my backbone ever since my young age.
“I informed the clan about your marriage with our enemy. I was so blinded by Sage's words, that she convinced me that absconding with the whole clan would make me a leader. I was foolish to believe her words, I did as she said with the thoughts that you are a traitor to the ocean and you don't deserve to be our leader. I confused our clan making them despise you but I guess you were the chosen one,, after all, you are the only Alpha of the seven mighty oceans.“ Jane said.
“It's alright now, everything is back to normal” I took a deep breath out, what matters most is that we are alive.
“Please punish me, Your Highness. I ruined your good and royal reputation. It's all my fault and all because of my greediness, Sage was successful in abducting the whole clan. She made us cry pearls to generate a power to murder the supreme leader of the magical beings.“ My heart skipped as those last words hit my ear.
By Derek! Derek being the supreme leader of the Jinns will end when he becomes a teenager. During his teenage age, he will be crowned to be the supreme leader of all magical beings. I took a look at him, he was smiling and playing with Lucas. I will protect my son with all my life. Royalty runs in his veins and he deserves to become who he is.
“I suggest our clan return back to the water, they need to regain strength and that's where they need to be because they are merpersons.“ Nicole suggested. I nod my head, I am totally out of words and in shock, I'm overjoyed to see my brother and my clan again. I will ask Nicole to cast a shielding spell on Derek.
I site plan planning for my mistakes and miscalculations, asking them to go back to the ocean, I have some unfinished business to do before I come over to my world.
They all bowed, leaping into the ocean except Lucas, Jane, and a young boy, Sam. Sam was weeping in a corner. I became curious, why is he weeping?
“Why are you crying, Sam?“ I asked patting his back.
“My mother died.“ He mumbled.
