Ava's POV
Feminism is not a weak gender. Females are the courageous creatures on earth. Just because I made him have his way all these days doesn't mean I'm weak. I was madly in love with him. Now that I realized he does not care a bit about me, why let him have his way?
We females are the gender of strength we are mighty and brave. We are like a flower that does not think of competing with the flower next to it. We don't have to play masculine to be a woman of strength. Our strength is our voice, our vocal cords. We are queens and queens are not scared of fighting with their voices.
“Mr. Jinn, I'm not a weakling! And thanks… thanks for showing me the real you.“ I let out a clapping of my hands. Dyrus rose to their feet, and he walked closer to me, I stood firmly he didn't walk backward and fixed my gaze on him, did he think I am still that Ava he once knew? His face became red like a tomato suddenly, he lifted his hand at me, at my face. His hand was about to hit my face.
I held his hand that was about to smite my face with a great moving force. He held his lips tightly. I let go of him as my eyes met Don behind the door, he paused with his mouth wide open going on here?“ Don polled. Dyrus didn't say a word, he stormed out of my room hitting Don's shoulder. Don turned to wonder what went wrong, he turned to me, looking worried.
Don raised one eyebrow, staring at me.
“Ava, can you explain what my twin brother is doing in our room and why are putting on his shirt, why is he shirtless? Why is our room disorganized? What's going on?“ Don asked.
I wanted to lie to Don but my mind says,
"What will it take you to say the truth.“
I gasped
“He tried to rape me,” I managed to let out.
Don's eyes popped out, his mouth was wide open as he gasped quickly. “That rascal, how could he? I will teach him a valuable lesson.“ Don raised as he rolled his sleeves.
“No, Don. I taught him a lesson already. Can you please let this slide” I said. I couldn't watch a twin get angry at the same time and start combatting all because of didn't come to create chaos.
“No, Ava. I can't let this slide. How could he walk to our master bedroom and think of touching his sister-in-law?“ Don nagged, he was annoyed and angry, I noticed that as he furrowed his eyebrows
I gave him puppy eyes which cooled him down. This is the first time I'm talking to Don and he is cool. He has never liked me and I don't think he will. I think he is just being grateful because I saved him from Nina's captivity. Thank goodness, that devil is out of this world!
He walked into the room and shut the door behind him ”Are you alright? I hope he did not hurt you.“ Don said as he turned the king-sized bed to its normal position.
I'd guess,” I said.
Don sat on the bed, gently grabbing my hand as he politely asked me to sit beside him without saying, Nord. I did as he says.
“I'm so grateful. You are now a small god to me, Ava.“ Don said. I chuckled as I released myself from his grip.
Don stretched his palm open towards me, expecting me to place my hand on his again but I didn't. He looked at his hand as he let out “ Blood?“ He tilts his head, pressing his lips together.
He pulled my hand and opened his mouth as he sighted blood
“Ava, you are hurt, “ Don said as he sighted the part of my skin that got pierced earlier. He rushed out of the room. It's just a minor injury, why is he overreacting? Soon, he came back with a first aid box. He checked my back, and stare with wide eyes as he raised his eyebrow...
...He first bent the curtain hangers as he noticed blood stains on them uprooted from the wall and threw them out of the window.
“ There was a wound here, what happened?“ Don wondered.
I chuckled.
“I'm not a mere mermaid. I can cure anyone including myself.“ I said smiling.
He sighs.
“I was scared I'm going to lose you before I repay my debt.“
His debt? I did not save him because I'm expecting something in return. I only did that because I had the chance to. I'm not expecting a reward for saving him.
He made steady eye contact with me, and I brand and oke it off, starting at the wall.
“Hmmm…. The kids must be hungry.“ I uttered trying to stay away from him.
“No, I fed our kids not long ago. I made sure I read them bedtime stories before they slept off.“ He said.
“And I must say, Sam, snores a lot. That's the only characteristic he gained from our family. Derek is just like Dyrus, a very stubborn baby, he kicked me here while we were playing boxing, my child noticed I was winning the game so he cheated.“ He said laughing, pointing at his lap which had a mark of feet. It's obvious he kicked him.
“Aww.“ I blushed. He cares about my children more than their biological father who only wants to please himself.
I chuckled as he continued sharing the experience he had with them.
“Our baby, Sam snores a lot. Derek and Daniel are quiet sleepers, it's really hard to notice if they are alive or not while sleeping, I had to check his pulse, blah blah” Don said as he chuckled, it was like he was talking at laughing at the same time. I could see happiness in his eyes. He kept on talking about them, he seems to understand them more. But…
How could I tell him the children are not his?
