Chapter 2 Hi
"Isn't it normal for creatures like you to not be able to eat man-made food?" asked Cologne who was surprised to see Berlin's liking for man-made food. "You are only influenced by novels. We eat everything, we can even eat each other," explained Berlin. Cologne glanced at Berlin in horror. Berlin, who understood the meaning of Cologne's glance, immediately started blabbering, "Why are you feeling scared now? Didn't you seem to underestimate me before?" he pouted. Cologne sighed looking at Berlin flatly then returned his sneer, "I didn't expect your presence from the start," he complained disappointedly. After complaining he returned to focus on the breakfast menu. "And from the start I really didn't want to meet a stupid human like you!" said Berlin did not want to lose either. The demon then snatched the bread from Cologne's plate and made the men scream like crazy people. "GIVE BACK MY BREAKFAST THE FUCKING DEVIL!" shouted Cologne madly. *** In the room Cologne took his jacket from the hanger and quickly put it on. Cologne plans to meet the parents of his dead best friend. He hadn't seen Mr Ash in a long time. "Where are you going?" asked Berlin who had suddenly appeared from behind Cologne's body. It seems that the devil loves to stalk other people. Cologne, who was used to having Berlin suddenly appear around him, now felt less bothered by his presence. Even though it was clear Cologne felt very resentful of the presence of the demonic figure who seemed to follow him everywhere. "None of your business!" said Cologne nonchalantly. The man returned his focus to fixing his jacket while watching his appearance in the mirror reflection. "Want to go on a date? Or do you want to attract mature women out there?" Berlin flirts with Cologne. Hearing Berlin's temptation, Cologne really wanted to throw his pile of dirty clothes in the basket at the demon. "Watch your mouth!" cried Cologne in annoyance. Cologne then left Berlin and came out of his room. He knew very well that there was no point in serving the mouth of the demon named Berlin. Because obviously every word or defense he does to himself will only end up being ridiculed sarcastically by Berlin which makes him feel verbally oppressed. "Wow he really is so sensitive," Berlin muttered then started to disappear slowly. *** Church of Saint Borteleus Cologne is currently visiting the home of his deceased friend's adoptive father. Cologne still remembers very well that his friend grew up in a church environment. It is not surprising that Heilige grew into a very polite person and has very good ethics. Whenever he thought of Heilige, Cologne always remembered that his best friend was born to have a kind heart like an angel. Although unlucky he had died in a tragic way. Cologne had unknowingly been daydreaming outside for long enough that he had almost forgotten to knock on the door. "Not changed apparently…. ' he mumbled in a low voice. He still found the small dwelling that stood right next to the church still looking good and sturdy. It seems that Mr. Ash has always tried to take very good care of his residence. Knock Knock "Excuse me, Mr Ash," Cologne called from outside. The young man was calling the owner of the house. KRIEEET There was a creak of the door opening and revealing the figure of a 50-year-old man in simple black clothes. The man had a neat and simple appearance. Mr. Ash always looks humble even though his appearance looks so simple. Mr Ash smiled. "Cologne, you haven't been here in a long time," said Mr. Ash kindly welcoming Cologne. "Come in, son, it's not good to be out for too long," said Mr. Ash, inviting Cologne to enter his house. Cologne smiled kindly and followed the man into his humble home. *** Sitting room Mr. Ash served black tea and some simple pastries for him to serve to his guests. "Are you okay kid?" asked Mr Ash doubtfully when he saw the wound on Cologne's head. Cologne smiled wryly. "Ah yes maybe… but to be honest there are a few parts of my body that still hurt a little. You know, the other day I had a bit of an unpleasant accident," he answered honestly. Mr. Ash glanced at the young man's head and found cotton and plaster stuck to the tip of the youth's forehead. There are also a few scars that have dried there. "Don't push yourself if you're still in pain son. But I'm grateful your wound seems to be starting to heal well." Mr Ash then sat down on the sofa opposite Cologne. Cologne smiled wryly. To be honest, the wound on his head was still quite severe before. It was just that he had asked Berlin forcibly for help to help him treat his little wound. And this is how it turned out when he turned to the devil for help, the wound really wasn't healed properly. "How about you sir?" asked Cologne. He was a little worried about how the condition and health of the 50-year-old man after losing his adopted son. Mr. Ash took a deep breath and looked straight ahead and then a sad expression appeared on his face. "I can't lie that I miss my son so much. And there are parts of me that have changed a bit now." Cologne gulped down his saliva forcefully. Obviously he felt guilty for his friend's death. "I really want to apologize about that," Cologne squeaked. He knew his purpose here was not to bring up his friend's death but to visit Mr Ash and comfort him. Master Ash laughed, "Hahaha… why apologize, Cologne? You've been through a lot harder than me. I know very well that 6 months, you have kept yourself locked up and away from the outside world because of your guilt towards Jo. Son, listen I would never blame you for Jo's death, in fact I'm the one who feels very grateful to you because you are the one who will always be with Jo until the end of his life. Stop blaming yourself," said Mr Ash sincerely. The man then embraced Cologne lovingly, the man hoped that his embrace could give the young man a little peace of mind. Cologne smiled faintly. After Mr. Ash's embrace was released, the young man then took out a jar filled with almonds which was a favorite snack from his late friend. "I hope Master likes it a little." Cologne gave the jar to Mr. Ash. Mr. Ash accepted the Tople with pleasure. Seeing the contents of the jar, made Mr. Ash remember how his adopted son would smile happily when he received a parcel of almonds like this. "He would really be happy and could forget about his own meal schedule if he got a gift like this," recalled Mr Ash. He remembered Heilige or as he often called Jo as his favorite nickname, always almost missed his meals just because of the almonds that were always full in his mouth. You could say almonds were like an addiction to Jo.
