I'm not going to disagree with that if it's not a bad idea, why not? I mean, if they will treat me like their own daughter.
“Hey, Sammy, are you okay?” I shook my head as a sign of my answer. I'm currently sitting on the bed in my room.
They gave me my room, and they're always bringing me some food to eat. I looked at the view outside.
There's a lot of trees and flowers. I don't want to go outside, and I don't want to eat those foods.
All I want is my real mother and father. I want them to hug me, and kiss my forehead. Someone whispered, “You need to eat, we don't want you to feel sick.”
I'm still looking at the trees, I don't want to see her face, I don't have any reason to hate her, but I can't accept her as my mother.
I stood up without glancing or even saying a word to her. I went to the bathroom, and start to clean up myself.
After I washed, I went downstairs and I saw a man who was sitting on the couch while watching the television.
“Oh, should I think that it's a miracle? Or it's just a coincidence that you went out from your room,” he said while his focus was on the show.
“I'm sorry for my attitude this past few days, it's just I felt like I need to fix myself and prepare for the next step.”
He nodded, “It's understandable, where are you going?” he asked, “Uh, I'm going to the convenience store.”
I must go on, even though it's hard to forget, but maybe I can do it, right?
When I entered the convenience store, there's no one in there, except the staff of the store. After a few minutes of choosing some snacks, I went to the cashier to pay for my food.
“Thank you so much! Please, come back again!” I forced a smile and nodded at the cashier.
I remained silent as I walk to the vacant seats. All of a sudden, the door automatically opened, but there's no one entered the store.
The staff looked at the door, and their eyes were wide opened, while their mouth was dropped a bit.
“Did you saw that? I mean, the door suddenly opened.” I decided to ignore them, and start to eat my food.
I took my earphone from my pocket, and connect them to my phone. Gladly, most of the walls of this convenience store were made of glass.
So, I can easily observe the surroundings and will make me feel comfortable.
After a few minutes, I stood up, because I forgot to buy some beverages. I heard some raindrops.
It's raining, I feel like it's my comfort zone. Furthermore, I lean my back to the chair and took out a deep breath.
The sky is getting darker than before, however, the people are moving as fast as they can just to hide their selves, keep their bodies dry.
While I'm standing at the cashier, small dirty footsteps appeared. I keep my attention on it until the footsteps reached the freezer.
The freezer contains some different ice cream and frozen foods. I gasped, the freezer suddenly opened on its own.
“Miss? Here are your changes,” the cashier said. My attention turned back to her and smiled.
I bought some marshmallows, and some flavored water, so I decided to go back to my seat.
“Ma'am? My shift is going to end, does my shift mate arrived?” the other staff asked. I think he wants some assurance that he will be out in exact time.
I looked at my phone, and check the time, it's already 4 in the afternoon, and maybe his shift will end at 5:30 in the afternoon.
The door suddenly opened again, and no one entered, I glanced at them, their lips were trembling.
I noticed that they are not comfortable, “Welcome! I received one ice cream only, do you have any additional food?” The cashier smiled.
My eyes widened, and the other staff dropped their jaw. It feels like the time stopped for a while.
There's no customer at the cashier, but the staff at the cashier was smiling as she can only see the customer.
The footsteps appeared in front of me, my heart is racing a mile in a minute, and gasping for air.
It seems like the store is slowly losing some air to breathe, the cashier nodded, but after a few seconds, her smile turned into a thin line, and she puts her hand on her mouth.
I sighed, couple of minutes has been passed, and they are still in the middle of shock. I gulped, “Excuse me? Where is the trash bin?” I asked.
They looked at me, and they took a deep breath and let it out slowly.
“Trash bin? Ah! It is located beside the tables, on the left side, Miss.” I nodded and forced a smile.
The awkward silence conveyed the whole store, though, the sound of the aircon is the only thing that makes some sounds.
After I threw those trash, I let my head bend down on the table, and hide my face by covering it using my arms.
The tears that I've been holding back are suddenly streaming on my face. From this time, my heart defeated my mind.
I couldn't help myself, but to let my tears stream down from my eyes. My shoulders slumped down, and control my sobs.
After a few minutes, I took a deep breath, and wipe away the tears. I need to calm myself.
“Uhm, Miss? Are you okay? I saw you... are you suffering from your darkest day?” I didn't respond to him.
I heard his sigh, and it seems like he sits beside me because I heard the chair move.
“You know what, everything will be okay, even though you feel like there's nothing that can make you feel better, but don't let the sadness eat your whole system.” I remained silent.
“I know what you might think, I'm not at your place, and I'm not experiencing, or I don't know the real story, but I'm here because I can see my old self from you,” he stated.
“If you want to cry, just go, and let yourself breath, although it's hard, you must keep going in life, just look around, and don't forget that someone is still listening to you, and willing to be your shoulder to cry on.”
I let my head bent down on the table, and remained silent.
“Don't forget that someone that I've been telling is the trusted one among the people, I guaranteed it one hundred percent, so maybe that's all for now, see you again! I'm hoping that I will talk to you again, but the better version of yourself, bye! Take care!”
