“A pleasant morning, my fellow students! I, Harvey McKenzie, and Zoe Amethyst Riego are standing in front of you!” I greeted them to get their attention. “Next week, we will be having a school party, the theme is horror, it's up to you, all of the students can decide what will go to decorate inside of their room, whether it's a special party, travel party, and so on,” Zoe explained. Their eyes were at the center of the stage where we are standing right now. “Each of the rooms should have a different party, the students will discuss it inside of their room together with your class officers.” I looked at her. “Any questions? Raise your hand if you have some questions,” she asked while holding the mic. Someone raised his hand, I think, he is ahead of our base on his sleeves. His sleeves were reaching his elbow. “Can we add some costumes? Puzzle? And anything related to the theme?” I glanced at the teachers. They show us the sign with their fingers. “Yes, like what I mentioned earlier, the students can decide on their decorations, and activities,” I answered. We heard the bell rang, “I think that's all for this time, if you still have some questions, kindly go to the teacher's office, and ask them, thank you for listening, have a nice day to all of you!” The crowd began to make some noises. I hold her hand, and slowly walk down to the ground, “Zoe, let's go to the schoolyard!”I pulled her gently until we reached the schoolyard. “Stay here, we're going to eat!” I smiled. We saw the clean cloth on the grass, and there's a picnic basket. “What's going on?” she asked while having a bewildered look on her face. I offer her to have a seat beside me. “Nothing, I just want to have lunch with you,” I answered. She sits beside me, “Did you cook these foods?” I nodded as a sign of answering her question. She scanned the whole place. The soft wind touches our skin, and I'm still serving the food until she points her index finger at the distance. “Are they practicing for their dance presentations?” I looked at the group of students. I nodded. “Shall we eat? I made these foods just for you,” I stated. She smiles, and my heart automatically fluttered. After a few minutes, we cleaned the used plates and used food containers. We remained silent for a couple of minutes, and we keep watching the students. She whispered, “I have some questions for you, Harvey.” I looked at her, but she's looking away from the distance. She's slowly lying down on the grass. “You're still courting me, right?” she murmured. I nodded, “Yeah, why? Are you going to accept me?” I whispered. “What are you going to do if you meet my parents?” I decided to be silent. She keeps staring at me while waiting for my answer. I sighed, “I already met your parents.” She gasped. Likewise, I decided to lay beside her, and lean my head on her shoulder. “Really? When? How? What happened that day?” She moves and turned her head in my direction. I gasped, my face is almost 4 inches away from her face. Her eyes widened. I keep staring at her eyes. She smiled. My heart! It feels like it's going to throw up! The side of my mouth raised a bit. I can't help myself but smile at her and look at her beauty. “H-Harvey? Answer my questions,” she whispered. I put my right arm onto her waist and pulled her closer to mine. “Hmm? Let's just say, I met them before because I've been looking for you, and—” A familiar voice reached our hearing that results in a sudden stand up from the comfortable position. “Zoe! Harvey! What are you doing? We've been looking for the both of you, hurry up!” I gasped. We were both startled by his voice. Our classmates grinned, “It's not what you've been thinking, we're just lying down in here, and talking some confidential stuff when you came,” Zoe explained. “Huh? I'm just fetching the two of you, I didn't even say some words, but it looks like the two of you are defensive,” he said with a grin on his face. I sighed. He just ruined our moments! It's my time to ask her, yet he came here all of a sudden, and... Ah! Never mind! He's getting to my nerve! I want to punch him on his face, but I need to maintain my calmness. I took my phone and messaged my trusted friend to clean this mess and to remove these clothes, and food containers. “Let's go, instead of stealing some moments at the school backyard, why don't you command your classmates on how to decorate your room to the highest level?” he keeps speaking. “For example, buy some materials, and decorative kinds of stuff, be creative, and mindful for that event, and plan some incredible concept.” I looked at Zoe, but her head is hanging low. I gently patted her shoulder and smiled at her. In my opinion, it's a good idea to focus on the tasks, and stop focusing on the things that may disturb us. Or may not be good at handling, and monitoring the students. I whispered, “I think, we should focus on our tasks, so they will not disturb us if we finish our work.” She nodded, and replied, “That's exactly what I'm going to suggest! I mean, that's a good point.” Our classmate looked in our direction, he's still wearing this annoying grin on his face. I glared at him, but he keeps teasing me with his look. He accompanies us until we reached the teacher's office, we saw our advisory teacher, she's always crossing her arms and keeps raising her eyebrow. “What are you doing here? Did I tell the two of you that you should do your assignments? What happened? Is there something wrong? Casualties?” I shook my head as a sign of disagreement or as a sign of “Nothing.” “Do your job! Double time! I'm rooting for your success!” Instead of disappointment, I'm glad to hear those words from her, knowing her attitude, it's not her natural way to cheer someone. She's always showing the negative one when she's facing the whole class. “Good luck, my beloved students!”
