"Are you coming with us later, Blaire?" Anne asked, one of my bestfriends.
I looked at our other friends who also seemed to be waiting for my answer. I already told them last week that I wouldn't come with them to the club, but they are so importunate.
I shook my head. "No."
"Why?" She asked and I just looked at her. Why? Because I just don't, should I have an explanation for that?
"Come on, Blaire. Don't tell me that you were so sure that you'll not come with us?" She drank on her glass of water.
I sighed and rolled my eyes. "So what? I know that we all used to be together everytime but I'm not in the mood. Besides, I have a lot of things to do, Anne."
She sighed heavily, disappointed. "I know! I just want to confirm it, again."
"Whatever, Anne. Maybe next time again," I said and continue eating my breakfast.
"Always next time," Alice suddenly whispered.
"Yeah, you're excuse in two weeks, silly," Lev added.
"Just come with us," Claire said, forcing me.
"No one will get mad Blaire, you don't have any man right now." I looked at Roxie so badly and rolled my eyes at her.
"You think, you're funny?" I answered back.
"Kidding aside." They laughed so hard as if they have a perfect man and in a healthy relationship.
I quickly finished my breakfast because I want to leave early here. I don't really know how I became friends with them and how I endured being with them here in the condo. Psh!
I left the dining area without talking to them. I went into my room to take a bath and also prepared the clothes I'll going to wear. I went out of the bathroom, wearing a bathrobe and a towel over my head.
Sometimes, I do not put make-up on my face, just a lipstick or tint, especially on a normal days like this. And I'm sure, I look good with or without make-up.
"I'm naturally pretty!" I told to myself while staring at myself through the mirror.
I grabbed my bag and looked at myself in the mirror again to see if I was okay, then I went out. When I opened the door, as I expected there they are again, waiting for me.
"Opps!" Anne stopped me. I looked at her as my arms crossed over my chest.
"What again, girls?" I raised my eyebrow at them.
"Come with us, tonight. Or maybe, tomorrow night or sunday night! What do you think?" She smiled at me cutely.
"I don't know." I was going to step forward but they stopped me again. Oh my god! This is gonna be annoying.
"We're going to introduce someone to you, Blaire. Hoping that it'll work." I suddenly looked at Anne when I heard about that.
"Come on, Blaire," Claire said, she crossed her arms then she approached me and put her arm around my shoulder as she smiled at me.
I sighed heavily. "Fine! But, I will not be with you tonight and tomorrow."
Their brows furrowed at the same time. "What? Why?"
"Duh! I need to review. My grades were about to go down, to break. I need to focus on my studies from now on. Maybe, sunday night." I smiled at them.
"Okay then, we'll introduce you to Luke there," Anne said while smiling.
I frowned. "And who is that lucky guy?" I asked and smirked.
"Wow! Don't put too much confidence on yourself, Blaire. You don't know him." They laughed and I just rolled my eyes before I leave.
I stopped when I'm in front of the door and looked at them. "Just make sure that I'll like that someone you'll gonna introduce to me. I don't want a red flag man, remember." I pouted before left the condo.
Time has passed and I'm so stress with this. I don't get it! It's so hard for pete's sake. Gosh! I don't know what to do. I don't know how to answer this math problem. My brain doesn't work right now. But, I don't have a choice. This is what I want, right self?
Our class was c over but my head still hurts. It looks like I need to cool down first, but I need to do the necessary things so I have nothing to do tomorrow.
When I arrived at the condo, I ignored them even though they greeted me. I didn't even bother to change my clothes. I just did what I had to do, I also did everything, including the one for next week.
I admit, this is my fault so I am chasing and stressed now. Why did I even agree to date my admirers this past few weeks?
I think, 4 am when I decided to sleep. If I hadn’t just been distracted by my phone, I would have been asleep by 12 am, but my social media notifications always show up on the screen.
So now, I wasted three hours because I was scrolling through facebook, instagram and twitter.
It's Saturday. I don't do much on Saturdays. As always, eating, sleeping, watching netflix, always like that. I don't go out every Saturday because I think that's my free time to be with my friends and of course for myself.
The next day, I woke up when someone slapped my left cheek, over and over. It was very annoying. I stood up annoyed and still sleepy then then went straight to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth as well.
"Who the hell woke me up?" I asked them when I went out to my room. They stopped eating and looked at me at the same time.
"Duh? It's already 3 pm, Blaire," Lev said before continue eating.
I frowned. "W-what?"
"We need to wake you up so you can prepare more and eat more," Claire said. I sighed.
I just sat next to Claire and ate, only now I felt hungry because earlier I just felt annoyed because they woke me up.
"What time did you sleep?" Alice suddenly asked.
"Hmm? I don't know," I said without looking at her.
"Why you didn't know?" I just shrugged and started eating.
After we ate, we decided to just watch some movies on netflix, because tonight, we're going to the club at 8 pm, so it's okay to watch right now.
"Blaire," I looked at Anne. "This is the picture of Luke." She handed me her phone to let me see the picture of that someone named Luke.
I reached her phone and there, I saw a picture of a man, whole body. He's tall and moreno huh? I zoomed in the photo so I could see his face. And damn...
He's so handsome. He's pointed nose is also perfect. He's brown eyes are so attractive. He's lips are thin and red. He also had a poker face while both of his elbows were resting on the railings of the balcony. And his hair was blown away by the wind so he became even more handsome.
"So? What do you think?" Anne smirked after she asked me.
"Not bad." I gave back her phone and focus on the movie. They screamed 'yieeee' and I just laughed.
"Where is he studying?" I asked in the middle of the movie.
"Just there on the other side of our school, I guess? I'm not sure."
Time passed quickly and we did not realize it was six o'clock. We still acted slowly and then, there were only two bathrooms here because there was only one room. We didn't want to take a big unit back then, because it might be too expensive, besides we can sleep side by side.
We ran to the bathroom together, so the others stumbled. I just laughed because of what they were doing. I just took a quick shower so that someone could use it, I am not a selfish person. I'm so kind. When I came out, Claire suddenly pushed me away, I just laughed.
"Hurry up!" She said after she closed the door so hard.
I looked at the skirt, top, and boots lying on the bed. Actually, it belongs to Claire not mine.
I was wearing a white fitted sleeveless croptop, then the strap was just thin, partnered with a black mini tulip skirt above the knee, then I put on a white belt. Then a black thigh high boots. And a Gucci small GG marmount white sling bag.
Claire is the one fashionable among us. Claire came out of the bathroom and suddenly stopped when she saw me. Then unexpectedly, his mouth formed an 'o' as if he had seen a goddess. Well, I am a goddess.
"My sister is so gorgeous!" She said as she clapped her hands.
"I know. We're sisters." The side of my lips rose. She just shook her head.
She also got dressed and then put on make-up. And I, just combing my hair properly, I will dry my hair first before I make it a messy bun.
Claire and I went out of the room together and we saw the others, yet who also organize themselves. Lev looked at me and she shook her head. He mouthed to approach her so I did.
"What?" I asked when I'm in front of her.
"You didn't even put a make-up on your face, huh?" I shook my head and smiled a little.
He suddenly pulled me to the sofa and then pushed me so I sat down. No one spoke to us. They just put make-up on me and then blow dry my hair.
It was also a few minutes but when it was over we immediately took our sling bags and then we left together.
It was 8:30 pm when we arrived at the club. I wasn't surprised that there were so many people, it's Saturday. I met my blockmates, acquaintances, and then my admirers are also here.
"Hi, good evening Blaire." One of my admirers greeted me.
I smiled. "Hello."
"Do you want to come with me upstair?" I looked upstairs for a moment before I refuse him.
I smiled a little. "No need! I'm fine. Besides, I'm looking for someone." He just nodded so I did as well before walked out in front of him.
I will not go with him upstairs. Never! I know what will happen next if I come with him. Those people there are already kissing, of course, later they will have sex. Duh!
"Hey!" I tap Alice's shoulder.
"What?"
"Why you guys left me there, huh?" I asked before rolled my eyes at them.
They just laughed. I don't know what reason they have for just making fun of me. I sat down next to Roxie and ordered rum. Just a few minutes later, I already finished two bottles of rum and, there were only two of us left here.
Roxie is missing now. Claire and Alice are kissing the man they talked to earlier. Lev is already dancing on the dance floor with a man. And Anne and I are the only ones left here. So speed!
"So, How did you know about... Luke?" I asked without looking at her.
"Hmm? I attended the birthday party of his friend last last week so there, I met him. Why?" She looked at me and smirked.
"Nothing! Part of my curiosity." I bit my lower lip to stop myself from asking again.
"Okay, if you say so. Look Blaire, it's Luke!" I suddenly looked at her and then looked around.
"Where?" I asked like I was asking about my missing favorite necklace.
"There, in front of us. Oh my god!" I looked at the table in front of us but a little far away.
We stood up to go to him and stopped in front of him. He looked at us but he looked a little longer at Anne, maybe he just recognize her.
"Luke. I want you to meet my bestfriend, Blaire." Then Anne approached him and whispered something. I wonder what is it.
After that, Anne started to walk but she stopped in the back of mine and whispered 'Goodluck' before leave us alone. I just shook my head. I sat down in front of Luke.
"Hi!" I said but he didn't bother to give me a single glance.
"Are you alone?" I drank on my rum so that, it wouldn't be awkward.
"Where are your friends?" I asked him again.
"Hey, why are you ignoring me?"
"Talk to me!" I finished my rum already and my patience too.
"Hey!" I grabbed his sleeve so he can looked at me. He just looked at me.
"Why did you still ignored me?" I asked again.
"Sorry?" He said. My eyes widened a bit, his voice, oh my god, it's deep but relaxing.
"Do I look like an air? I'm asking you! I am here to talk to you! But you chose to ignore me? Gosh! You can't reject me like this! "I stopped when I realized what I said.
I admit, it was so bad. I think I'm drunk.
I avoided looking at him, I didn't mean to, okay? I was also shocked. I don't know why I did that thing. He looked at me with confused eyes because of what I had done.
He sighed heavily. "First of all, I'm not rejecting you, okay? Second, you're not my girlfriend so stop acting like you are."
Okay, I'm embarrassed.
"I'm... sorry. I think, I'm drunk." I avoided again his gaze.
"Yeah! Whatever." He stood up to leave but he also stopped not that far from me.
I looked at him and smiled, trying to hide from him the embarrassment I am feeling. This is the first time I have been embarrassed by a man.
"And, I'm sorry too, I don't talk to stranger. And I don't want to talk to people like you, so importunate." He looked at the table and smirked a little before leaves me alone and embarrassed.
I was left stunned and wondering if what he said was true. Gosh. I looked at the table and i saw a necklace, maybe this is what he looked at earlier. But this is not mine. And what?
He doesn't want to talk to me? Really? Aish!
