2. Bread

Lea stretched her body, waking up in the morning this time was painful for her. Going for a bike ride was not an option for her if she faced an incident like last night.
Lucky after taking care of the paperwork at the office yesterday. Today was the weekend. So he could breathe a little easier. She herself was planning to go out. And didn't want to think about her husband Jack for one day.

“Oh you're awake. Morning,” Jack greeted as he spread butter on the white bread he bought after observing the price for an hour and a half.
“Tsk. It's a miracle that a slacker like you is up this early.” Lea sat on the dining chair. This morning she already looked neat and pretty. She was planning to spend her weekend going out for entertainment in the city such as visiting cafes and malls and then a salon to pamper herself.
“Not really. I have to wake up early so I can enjoy my time more. You're leaving this morning too, right?” Of course waking up this early, Jack deliberately did so so that he could be content alone at home because his wife was going to go pamper herself.
“You sound like you want to kick me out of this house, remember that this house was also bought partly with my money,” Lea quipped as her hand stretched out to pick up some bread that she bought herself and was of a different type to the one her husband had.
Jack didn't mind that. Lea had been raised from a baby in luxury. Touching simple things would not suit her bourgeois tastes.
“Damn the bread is moldy. I just bought it,” Lea complained when she found her bread moldy.
“Just eat mine. You won't get poisoned. By the way, I've also made spicy cucumber toast. If you're willing to touch it then give it a try,” Jack offered as he handed her a plate filled with his toast.
Lea snorted. There were signs that she didn't want to touch the toast. But it wasn't long before her stomach churned. And she knew that she wouldn't be able to get any other food because her house lacked the ingredients to suit her taste.
“Don't want it, I'll just put it here.” Jack then refocused on his breakfast. And again Lea's stomach sounds were heard and made Jack laugh with the sound of her stomach.
“I... have... your bread....” Lea's face turned red with embarrassment. Jack laughed silently. Then handed Lea her homemade bread.
Jack looked at Lea with a smile that was hard to hide. “Aha, finally gave up too huh? Welcome to the real world, Princess Tiny,” he teased as he proudly handed over his spicy cucumber toast.
Lea snorted in annoyance. “Don't think I'll thank you. This is just an emergency,” she replied as she took the bread. She took a hesitant bite, but once she tasted the delicious flavor, she was forced to admit that Jack could cook quite well. “Hmm, it's not bad, you should be grateful that it didn't sprain my tongue,” she muttered softly.
Jack, who heard Lea's murmur, smiled with satisfaction. “What was that? You said it was good? I didn't hear clearly,” she mocked. Jack smiled wryly. “I hope your stomach doesn't mind receiving homemade food from a simple class like me.”
“I didn't say good! I said 'not bad'! That's different! Your cooking isn't exactly good,” Lea exclaimed while rolling her eyes. However, she continued to bite into the bread with gusto. Jack just chuckled at the reaction of his half annoying, half sane wife eating his toast like a person who had never been fed.
After breakfast was over, Lea got ready to go out. Jack, who had no other plans, just relaxed on the sofa while watching television. “Don't forget to come home on time, I want the house clean when you get back,” Jack said in a joking tone. Oh of course that would never happen, because the person who always cleaned this house was him and the electronic equipment that always helped him.
“Why don't you clean it yourself? Oh, wait, you're lazy,” Lea quipped while putting on her shoes. “I'll come home whenever I want, and if you don't like it, fine. Find a new wife and get yourself into trouble.”
Jack shrugged casually. “Alright, Princess. Be careful on the road. Don't forget to buy me some souvenirs. If you need to bring a handsome young man home I don't mind either,” he said while waving his hand like an innocent child.
Lea sighed and walked out the door. Outside, she couldn't contain her anger. Jack was like that, often annoying. But Lea herself didn't realize that there was something enjoyable about their relationship that was full of lighthearted teasing.
As Lea walked through the city, her thoughts drifted back to Jack. She couldn't help but giggle sarcastically as she imagined the look on Jack's face if he actually bought her a new husband. “Maybe I'll really go home with a man who's much more qualified than he is,” she thought with a mischievous smile like an evil stepmother.
Lea spent the day at the cafe, shopping at the mall, and pampering herself at the salon. When she finally came home, it was late afternoon. She entered the house with a bag full of groceries. “Jack! I'm home! You've cleaned the house, my servant,” she exclaimed.
Jack, who was asleep on the sofa, woke up to see Lea with groceries in her hands. “Where's the handsome man?” he asked sleepily.
“Apparently I really need to hit your head!” grumbled Lea who was now beating her husband's body with her shopping bag.
