Chapter 102: The Die Is Cast

At exactly seven o'clock in the morning, as soon as the alarm bell rang, Wynn quickly woke up and packed his things. He looked around but couldn't see the other four people anywhere. After a moment of confusion, he regained his composure, walked up to the main house, said goodbye to Mina's parents, and got in the car.
Wynn's face couldn't hide his sadness. In the end, he had to let her go, letting her walk towards another man. Because he was afraid of seeing the two of them happily returning together, he quickly started the car and left.
The sky was very clear today, the sun was very yellow and the clouds were still floating overhead. The scenery was beautiful but his heart seemed to be in a storm.
When he came here, he held so much hope, but now he is even more desperate. Many years have passed, perhaps it's time for him to bury this love deeply and find a way out to relieve his heart of pain.
“It seems like Mr. Wynn's car just passed by.” Nancy exclaimed.
“That's right, where is he going?” Stephen looked at the rearview mirror and asked.
Mina quickly told Stephen to stop. As soon as she jumped down, she immediately ran after Wynn's car. Nancy turned her head to look at Mina and smiled slightly. She found the couple's way of chasing love so cute. Stephen curled his lips and turned to her.
“Oh my god, wouldn't it be faster if she told me to turn around? She'll be tired from running like that.”
“Are you going to take me along as a light bulb? Let's go home soon.” Nancy said wittily.
Because Wynn was depressed, he drove at the speed of a turtle. That's why Mina caught up with him. Early this morning, she told Steven that she had feelings for Wynn and he happily congratulated her even though he revealed that he felt a bit regretful and disappointed.
After that, Steven's meeting schedule changed so he asked permission to leave first. The three of them just went to see him off at the village gate.
Mina planned to sit in the car with Wynn this afternoon and go back to the city and confess her feelings to him. However, before she could get home, he jumped into the car and drove away like this.
After crawling enough, Wynn sighed and was about to speed up when he saw his beloved running and screaming in the rearview mirror.
He was so scared that he quickly stopped the car, opened the door, jumped out, and rushed towards her.
“Sister, are you okay? What are you doing here?”
Mina was out of breath, and her hips hurt. She bent over, holding her stomach. Looking at Wynn's bewildered face, she just wanted to kick him into the field. He had pursued her for so many years without giving up, but now that he encountered a little difficulty, he ran away.
“I chased you.”
“I thought you were with Steven.”
“I saw him off, okay?”
Wynn stood still, looking at the person in front of him, not asking any more questions. Mina mustered up her courage and approached him.
She thought to herself that this was her punishment. Before, when he confessed, she refused, and now she had to suppress her embarrassment to confess to him. What an irony.
“Wynn, actually… it doesn't matter if you can't carry water, you live in the city so you use tap water. If you don't know how to cook noodles, then just eat instant noodles, if you can't act, then just sing.”
After speaking, she looked up at him. He still had a blank expression and looked at her.
Feeling like she was talking to a piece of wood, she pursed her lips and continued.
“Why aren't you saying anything?”
“I don't understand what you're saying.”
“Then you don't need to understand anymore.”
The gentle expression instantly disappeared, and Mina turned away angrily. This kid makes others unable to love him. Didn't everyone say that artists are very sensitive? She said that but he still didn't understand what she meant. He must be a fake artist.
After only three steps, Wynn grabbed her hand and pulled her back. In an instant, her entire body was in his arms. She felt her whole body being squeezed and the man's low voice softly echoed in her ears.
“I love you, Mina.”
After saying that, Wynn loosened his embrace, bent down slightly, kissed Mina lightly on the lips, and hugged her again. She didn't know the tears from the man's eyes were falling down her back.
He cried because he was so happy. He thought his love had drifted far into the distance, but now it was completely in his hands.
On both sides of the road, the leaves stopped swaying, silently watching the couple.
After breakfast, the four of them quickly got in the car and returned to the city. The vast rice fields gradually receded into the distance and disappeared.
Nancy leaned against the car door and looked outside, her heart filled with worry. She was afraid that Dylan would not forgive her easily.
She told herself that when she got back, she would explain everything to Jolie so that her friend would stop waiting for the project with Stephen. If she gets involved with Global Group anymore, she's afraid she won't be able to get out.
When Nancy arrived, she saw her friend and her husband smiling happily. Jolie ran to hug her, unable to hide her joy.
“My friend, we're about to get rich.”
“Get rich? Did you win the jackpot?”
“Better than winning the lottery. Come here quickly.”
Jolie hurriedly pulled Nancy to the desk. Before she could hear her friend say anything more, she was shocked to see that all the contracts were signed under Dylan's name, the project was the Indochina luxury housing complex.
How could he have assigned all the electrical contracts there to Lucky Company, and even cut them into small pieces to designate?
“Nancy, what's wrong?” Jolie asked worriedly when she saw the expression on her friend's face.
“Jolie, I'm afraid something bad happened.”
“What are you talking about? The terms here are all in our favor, the advance payment is up to seventy percent. They transferred the money on the day of signing the contract.”
“I know, but the one who assigned the work was Dylan.”
“Miss Daria said that Mr. Stephen was away so the chairman signed on his behalf. How could Dylan know that you worked at Lucky Company?”
Nancy bit her lip. She regretted not telling Jolie before leaving. She didn't expect that after just one day, things would turn out like this.
Pausing for a moment, she told her friend and her husband about what happened the day she met Dylan again.
“Will the Global Group's president make things difficult for us? Of course, there will be mistakes in the construction process. I'm afraid he will turn a small incident into a big one.” Jolie looked at Mason worriedly.
“The manufacturer just sent an email reply saying that all the goods in the catalog have been blocked waiting for the project.” Mason spoke up.
The three people did not need anyone's guidance and contacted all the big and small distributors, but the results they received were all that the goods were blocked by the manufacturer.
While everyone was worried, Nancy's phone rang. When she saw the name of the caller on the screen was Stephen, she guessed that he didn't know anything about these contracts.
“I'm listening, Stephen.”
“What's with the Indochina project contract? I just heard Daria's report.”
“I just saw it, we thought you gave us the project and Dylan just signed on your behalf.”
“You've met him, right?”
“Yes, it was the night before we went to Q province. What should we do? The advance payment has already been transferred. The goods were blocked, I can't find them.”
Stephen frowned and bit his lips when he heard that. Daria secretly looked at him. If she had known that this matter was related to Nancy, she would have reported it to him earlier.
“Just make a change proposal and send it to me. It's OK.”
After hanging up, he lay back in the swivel chair and closed his eyes. Daria quickly took a glass of water and placed it in front of him before quietly leaving the room.
She didn't know what happened between Dylan and Nancy, but looking at Stephen's way of talking on the phone just now, it seemed like Dylan was deliberately trying to trap Lucky company to make things difficult for them. No wonder she kept seeing something strange.
Daria now also felt indignant towards Dylan. He was so bad for loving Nancy but not being reciprocated, then tormenting her like this.
One side wanted to oppress, the other side wanted to defend, so she was worried that Stephen and he would have a conflict. She also didn't know if Dylan would agree to exchange the goods. If there was any conflict, she really didn't dare to think about the amount of compensation for the contract.
Daria was standing when she saw Stephen kicking the door open and walking straight to Dylan's office. She looked at him and sighed, it seemed like a storm was coming.
“You did it on purpose, right? You assigned me to manage the construction, so why are you still meddling?” Stephen slammed his hand on the desk and raised his voice.
“I am the general manager of everything. Is there something wrong with what I do?”
“But why didn't you tell me in advance? I only found out after you signed the contract.”
“It's nothing serious. You're also hiding some things from me, aren't you? Girl at Red House and contract with Lucky company.”
“Stop it, Dylan. Stop torturing her. What do you mean by giving her work and then blocking all the goods?”
“Just suggesting changes is fine, why are you making such a big deal out of it?”
“It's you who said this.”
After saying that, Stephen turned away angrily. He had been driving for several hours, so he was tired, and when he got to the company, he knew this matter, which made him even more tired.
He was worried that Dylan would not simply block the goods and allow the contractor to change them easily, but because he was sure that nearly half of the shares of Global Group were in his father's hands, he was confident that he had the right and would guarantee this.
Dylan turned off the computer, stood up, and went out to the balcony. At first, he wanted to use this method to force Nancy to take the initiative to meet and beg him.
After that, he would agree to let Lucky Company change the goods to cheaper brands that still met the specifications, and that would help them make a profit. He did so because he wanted her to be grateful and touched.
But now he listened to Lyle, he would be gentle with her, not forcing her to beg him. He also hoped that she would understand the love he had for her.
