Chapter 105: Exchange Failed

At nearly eight o'clock in the morning, Nancy was planning to go to the alley to catch a taxi to meet Donna when Mason suddenly chased after her and called her back.
Looking at the fax of the document in his hand, her whole body trembled. She didn't think that Dylan made this decision because of what happened last night.
“Stephen signed the approval decision to exchange the goods, then we imported the goods. They can't go back on their word like that, the white paper and black ink are still there.” Nancy tried to reassure Jolie and Mason.
“I know, but the president of Global Group clearly stated that our goods have lower technical specifications than the design requirements, while the commitment is equivalent or higher.” Mason spoke up.
“Knowing that a little lower won't affect the project, but if he deliberately finds fault, it's... difficult. We can't sue. That group is so big, that if we confront it, it's like throwing eggs at rocks. What should we do?” Jolie bowed her head sadly.
Nancy nodded slightly in agreement. She knew this, Dylan had money so of course he had the right to find fault, even if it was right, it would still be wrong.
She looked up at the clock and knew that it was evening in Y country but she still called Stephen. However, the other end of the line kept giving a busy signal.
Currently, she was no longer in a good mood, so she texted Donna to cancel the appointment.
At the same time, the online meeting between Dylan and Stephen was also taking place. The two assistants, Daria and Paul, were so nervous that they were sweating profusely.
This morning, when Paul brought the document to his boss for signature, he told Daria, then she hurriedly informed Stephen and as a result, she was standing in the meeting room witnessing the two bosses arguing.
“Dylan, you agreed to let the contractor change the equipment, how dare you go back on your word?” Stephen shouted on the screen.
“How many years have you been a project manager? The changed goods must meet the same or higher specifications. Why are you still screaming when you approve models with lower specifications than the design?” Dylan's voice was equally loud.
“A little lower won't affect anything. I can guarantee this. If anything happens, I'll take responsibility.”
“Stephen, how are you responsible? Tell you, all the shares under your father's name have been transferred to me. I don't hold the bald guy. I have another meeting, I'll hang up now.”
Stephen looked at the pitch-black screen and felt like his brain was going to explode. He couldn't believe his ears anymore. How could his father sell the shares without him knowing anything?
He was angry because he couldn't go through the internet and return to country T immediately. After scratching his head for a while, he picked up the phone and called Neil to ask for clarification.
“Dad, did you transfer all the shares to Dylan?”
“Yes, but how did you know?” Neil's voice was full of surprise.
“Oh my god, why did you sell it? Why didn't you leave it to me? Are you my father?” Stephen screamed miserably.
“This guy, if I'm not your father, then am I your mother?” Neil shouted angrily.
He only had time to hear his son screaming like a pig being slaughtered on the other end of the line. After calling for a while and not hearing any response, he stood up in annoyance and turned to Elysia.
“This crazy guy. Didn't he say he didn't like working for a company? I prepared a surprise for him, but what is he saying now?”
Elysia could only sigh. Her son was born healthy and smart, but after a few years in the Global Group, he went crazy and even dared to yell at his father. However, she still defended her son, gently pulled her husband's hand to sit down, and whispered.
“Or did he suddenly realize that he liked working for the company? Can you beg Dylan to transfer the shares back?”
“What a joke. What will Dylan think of me?”
After saying that, Neil went straight to the stream. He was afraid that if he sat in the house for a while he would catch fire and have a stroke. He still loves life, loves his wife, and doesn't want to die, let alone die from anger.
Seeing that the situation was tense, Daria thought for a long time and then decided to call Lucky's company's landline to ask for Nancy's phone number and make an appointment to meet her at a cafe deep in a small alley.
When the two met, only a few customers were in the cafe. Nancy silently listened to Daria recount the story of Dylan and Stephen's argument that morning.
Pausing for a moment, Daria softened her voice and begged.
“Miss Nancy, you two loved each other once, you should lower yourself and beg the chairman once. If this continues, Stephen will be in the middle…”
“Yes, I understand what you mean. Don't worry too much, I don't want Stephen to be embarrassed.”
“Nancy, the ripe rice bows its head, please lower yourself a little.”
“Thank you, I'll go first.”
Nancy bowed slightly and quickly walked out. Her aimless footsteps followed one another. Life doesn't make things difficult for anyone, only people make things difficult for others.
She was really tired. At this moment, she wanted to let go of everything, regardless of what happened.
But when she thought of Jolie and Mason's family, she couldn't bear it. Her slender hand trembled as she swiped across the screen and found the contact number she had just received yesterday.
“Hello, President, it's me, Nancy.”
“I know, you don't need an introduction, get straight to the point.”
“What do I have to do to make you let Lucky Company go?”
“You know what I mean. I want you. If being my wife makes you feel disadvantaged, then be my lover. Anyway, I still haven't found anyone to warm my bed yet. Come to my office at five o'clock, otherwise, just follow the dispatch.”
The call ended but Nancy was still absent-minded as if she was still listening. After a while, she slowly lowered her hand. The wind blew again, the cold seeping through each gust as if autumn was gradually leaving, giving way to winter.
At exactly five o'clock in the afternoon, the employees of Global Group lined up to leave. When they saw Nancy coming, everyone was whispering in surprise.
She quickly walked towards the elevator and pressed the number to go to the eighth floor. After two knocks, she pushed the door open and entered. Dylan was still focused on his desk, not looking up, and coldly said.
“Go into the break room and wait for me.”
Nancy pursed her lips and walked straight inside. She looked around the room, everything was covered in white, and she felt like this was a funeral room for her burial. While she was thinking about something, light footsteps sounded behind her and the sound of the door slamming shut.
“Lie down.”
Dylan said as if giving an order. He raised his hand to his neck, took off his tie, and threw it aside. Nancy quickly turned her head, her eyes filled with resentment as she looked at the man in front of her.
Before she could reply, he pulled her back. The kiss carried an indiscriminate killing force that made her panic, punching him wildly in the back.
When she thought she was about to suffocate, Dylan let go of her lips, hastily pushed her down onto the bed, and used his tie to tie her hands above her head.
“You should be a little more obedient.”
After finishing speaking, he leaned down again, his hot lips traveling all over her face. Nancy closed her eyes, surrendering to everything.
She was the one who accepted this deal. Who else could she blame? Why would she resist?
When the button popped open, the cold air that had just passed by was dispelled by the warmth from his lips, she couldn't bear it anymore, wanting to keep her last bit of self-respect. She said in tears.
“Please stop, I agree to unilaterally terminate the contract and compensate for everything.”
“Do you know how much that is?” Dylan asked, his head still buried in her neck.
“Whatever, as long as I have nothing to do with you anymore.”
Dylan slowly looked up. The tears in the corner of his eyes fell, mixing with the tears on Nancy's face. Those words, as light as the wind, broke his heart, causing him to feel numb. His hand reached up and pulled the tie from her hands.
“It turns out that you disgust me that much?”
Nancy did not reply, she hastily pushed him aside and jumped out of bed, grabbed her handbag, and ran away. She did not know that the man was chasing her.
