Chapter 90: Meeting an Old Friend Again

Lyle was so busy reading the documents that he forgot about the time, the clock had already struck noon and he still didn't notice.
Although Wynn saw that it was late for lunch, he didn't remind his brother.
During this time, Lyle often came home early to take Rosalind for a walk, and watch movies, and on weekends he joined her in social activities as requested by the therapist, so he had to try to handle his work as quickly as possible to fill in the gap.
Wynn didn't have a filming schedule this morning, so he went to his brother's office and lay down all morning, just hoping Mina would come in so he could look at her to ease his longing, but in the end, he waited for a long time but didn't see her.
Ever since the huge amount of money was suddenly transferred from his father's account to his account, and then his father told him to withdraw it and give it to Lyle, he knew that his brother was also involved in the acquisition of SN Group.
At this point, he didn't want to care about his brother's love affair with Rosalind anymore because his love affair with Mina was enough to make him upset.
Feeling depressed, he suddenly heard a knock on the door. He quickly jumped up like a spring, sat up straight, took out the newspaper, and opened it, pretending to read.
Mina walked in and quickly approached Lyle.
“Is your phone out of battery? The president couldn't call you, so he called me. He and Miss Lisa are on their way to the Red House restaurant.”
Hearing Mina say that, Lyle was startled and pressed the phone next to him, and as a result, he saw a black screen.
“Oh, it's really out of battery. Let's go. I'll charge it when we get to the restaurant.”
The two of them left one after another. Wynn felt like he had become invisible. His brother was in such a hurry that he had forgotten his existence. As for the person he loved, he didn't know if she was nearsighted or something else that she couldn't see him.
Lisa's visit to country T was related to the jewelry exhibition organized by the Robert family's company, scheduled to take place at the end of autumn next year.
Although Global Group has received many design and manufacturing orders from Lisa, this time it was more special when the female client requested to design a crown for her on her big day, and the diamond attached to it was the priceless Sancy.
The crown will also be exhibited here before following its owner back to country Y and appearing at her wedding.
Because the flight had a little problem, it arrived later than expected. Dylan waited for Lisa so long that he was hungry and dizzy.
Letting him wait for more than an hour made her extremely embarrassed. After getting into the car, she looked for a topic to talk about.
“Chairman, when you were at my birthday party, you said you were getting married. When?”
“She left me, there will be no wedding.”
“Are you kidding me? You didn't leave her, but she left you?”
“Don't overestimate me.”
Seeing Dylan's serious expression, Lisa knew he wasn't joking. A rich man like him was abandoned by his fiancée before the wedding, making her want to meet that girl once.
The car arrived in a flash because the street was quite empty and the snow was cleared. Dylan dropped Lisa off right at the main door and slowly backed the car into the parking lot.
The Red House restaurant was quite crowded at noon. Stephen had just finished paying for his meal when he saw a familiar figure passing by. He thought he was dizzy, so he was stunned for a long time before hurriedly running after her and calling out loudly.
“Nancy… Nancy...”
Hearing his call, Nancy was startled and stopped, but then she quickly walked inside.
Stephen reached out to pull her, turning her to face him in front of Jolie's surprised eyes.
“You... why are you... ah, are you okay?”
Stephen wanted to ask why she silently left but couldn't say it. His heart was choked with a myriad of emotions, both happy, angry, and hurt.
“Hello, deputy general director. Ah, this is my friend, Jolie. Jolie, and this is the deputy general director of Global Group, Mr. Stephen.” Nancy calmly greeted and introduced the two of them to each other.
“Hello, Mr. Stephen, I've heard of you for a long time.”
Jolie reached out her hand to Stephen. He also politely shook her hand but his eyes were glued to Nancy's face that was looking down at the ground.
Although he didn't know what happened between her and Dylan, in his heart she was always a pure lotus flower. He didn't believe she abandoned her fiancé without a good reason. He was sure that all the sins were caused by Dylan.
“I have to come in, my customer is waiting, goodbye.”
Nancy said softly and turned her back very quickly. Jolie smiled, bowed to Stephen, and hurriedly followed her friend's footsteps, not knowing that the handsome man was following her footsteps.
Arriving at the front of the room, Nancy knocked twice, then Ricky appeared to welcome the two beauties. However, he had only just said one sentence when his eyes turned into an A, and his mouth turned into an O.
“Deputy General Director.”
“Can I sit with you?” Stephen asked.
“Okay, okay, it's such an honor, I invite you.”
Ricky said and quickly moved aside, looking down at the ground, giving way.
When the other directors saw Stephen enter, they immediately stood up and greeted him in unison.
More than half of them were contractors and suppliers of goods and construction materials for the Global Group.
Some of the guys were arrogant and made things difficult for Nancy and Jolie before, but now when Stephen said that they were his very close sisters, they suddenly called them “my sisters”, making the two girls get goosebumps.
This situation was very true to the saying: “Who you are is not important, what matters is who is backing you up.”
Everyone wanted to please Stephen so they spoke up at the same time, some promised to hand over the electrical system construction, some promised to hand over the camera system construction, and some generously promised to give Jolie's company a portion of the construction as a subcontractor.
Contrary to her friend's joy, Nancy was pensive and awkward throughout the meal. She didn't want to owe Stephen a favor, she didn't want to take advantage of his feelings.
In the next room, the other four people were also concentrating on eating because it was past lunchtime.
Lyle was a little surprised when Lisa revealed the weight of Sancy because it was not like what he originally knew, it had lost about half a carat.
“Miss Lisa, has Sancy been divided in half?” Lyle asked.
“Yes, it was made into two diamonds, owned by my brother and I, but when Alex had an accident and died, we couldn't find the pen with Sancy next to him. I think my brother gave it to that mysterious girl, the one he loved.”
“That girl must be an invaluable treasure to your brother.” Dylan said in a low voice.
Although Lisa ordered the design and production of the bridal crown, Lyle understood that a noble family like the Robert family did not simply demand art but also had very high demands on the image and message they wanted to convey.
“Miss Lisa, your crown will be inspired by the lily.”
“What a coincidence, I was about to say that.” Lisa exclaimed in surprise and smiled brightly.
After eating three dishes, Dylan's phone vibrated in his pocket. Seeing the phone number of the young master of Nova Group, he quickly stood up, asked everyone's permission, opened the door, and went outside to answer the phone.
