Luna's POV
"Are you sure you're fine alone in here? Because you know, we can have someone to fill Jae Hwan's slot." I worriedly asked Natalie.
It's my off and the new employee that is supposed to be on duty today hasn't show up. We haven't even met him.
"Pmmf. Shut up girl. I've been doing this for God knows how long. I'll surely be fine, okay." she assured me. I helped her carry the other box of chips to the other end of the aisle.
"Hey, aren't you going to prepare? I thought you'll be going someplace with your lover boy today?" she teased me.
I may or may have not tell Natalie about what happened yesterday when Devon and I share an ice-cream.
Speaking of that guy, he was such a tease.
Instead of buying his own, he thought it would be fun for us to share a big cone of strawberry ice cream.
Some strangers where staring at us weirdly because we were alternately licking the ice cream so it won't be messy.
I swear at one point; Devon had accidentally licked my hand when some parts of the ice cream got melted.
My cheeks blushed and I panic a little causing me to accidentally drop the ice cream.
The weird thing was, Devon just laughed it off and had pulled me to the nearest park.
I may or may have not wished that we were actually on a date.
Before we went back home, he had invited me to go on the trip with him and the boys. And since I don't have a duty, I agreed.
Devon said that the boys had planned a trip today and invited me. It was a good thing that it was my off anyways. Too bad Natalie can't go.
I actually tried calling Yessa but she's still unreachable. I'm not worried because it's normal for that girl to go missing from time to time.
I know, we're both weird.
Devon said that we'll go with that one place with water sports or something.
I was ecstatic to be honest. It has been a week since I stayed on this place and my body is starting to miss going places.
It's still six in the morning and Devon said that we'll go at around 7 or something because he needs to have Sarah's cast be removed.
"I better see pictures of you on your bikini, girl. This is your chance. Go wiggle that booty!" she laughed and I had to hit her on the arm.
"We're going to do water sports. We're not hanging out on the beach, you silly."
"So what? A girl got to try okay."
I smirked.
"Sometimes I swear you think weirdly."
"Says the girl so had a crush on someone he just met after making a young girl cry."
I laughed out loud.
"It wasn't like that." I told her.
"Luna?" Natalie and I had looked to the direction of the door when I heard someone calling my name. We didn't even hear the door opening.
Natalie and I turned to check who the person is. Moreover, I was a little concern how the person had spoken my name. it sounded familiar but for some reason, chills immediately traveled around my system.
So when I was able to turn and see who the person is, fear flashed on my eyes when I realized who that is.
My body felt rigid, I was immediately filled with panic.
"It's Luna right?" he asked as he moves forward to our direction.
My heart was beating superfast; I was afraid it would jump out of my chest.
"I'm sorry. My na-my name is- ahm, I am not Luna." I told him, my words tangled on my mouth. My body started shaking in fear and I started stepping farther away from him as he tries to come closer. My knees were wobbling; I was sure I was starting to numb inside too.
Natalie stayed beside me, sensing that there was something wrong.
The look in his eyes are scary. As if he'd found a prey that he can eat.
The last time I got scared like this was five years ago. And due to the same person.
Choi Jae Hwan
My knees got weaker. I had to hold Natalie's hand so I can stay standing.
He's one of my schoolmates that got so obsessed with me to the point of my family going to the extent of having a court order for him not get any closer to me.
It wasn't this bad initially. At first, he'd be following me around school. It didn't matter because he isn't really doing anything wrong.
Then it escalated to him following me wherever I go, including the bathroom. It has become so scary. He was harassing me and it scared the shit out of me.
My friends tried to make sure I am with someone every time so he can't really come closer. Then, it was when I was out on a group study that pulled the last string.
When I was on my way home, he tried to pull me and take me somewhere. I was so scared and I flipped out.
It was a good thing that some man noticed something was wrong and had save me. I was so scared that I called my parents.
I normally don't bother my parents because they were so busy but I was so stressed and I panic. That resulted me to being sent abroad to study.
I almost forgot about him but then he came back, trying to break the peaceful life that I'm currently living.
"I am the new employee here. Do you stay here?" he asked innocently but his eyes wouldn't betray what his mind was thinking.
I looked back at Natalie who walked in front of me to protect me. My eyes closed unable to handle the weird look on his eyes. And it was as if suddenly snapped in him and his façade immediately breaking.
"Luna, come here. Don't you miss me?" he creepily asked. His voice was even scarier than I remember.
How did he find me? Was it because I finally came back? Was he waiting all along?
My body started to shake more. My eyes tearing up. I'm having a panic attack.
No. Please. Not now.
I didn't even notice that he was able to come beside me until I felt a pair of hands on my waist.
My eyes went wide in horror when I saw him trying to hug me. Natalie is now lying flat on the floor after Jae Hwan had pushed her. I can barely make out the painful expression showing all over her face.
I started to panic more. I tried to push him away but he was stronger. My eyes started to sting, tears now started flowing in my eyes and I started to breath irregularly.
I looked around and noticed that Natalie is no longer on the ground but my eyes can no longer see where she is which made me panic more.
"Stop struggling, baby. It's Oppa. You know I love you, right?" he crazily whisper, my hands struggle as I try to push him away from me. My wrist had gotten numb due to his strong grasp.
"Please, leave me alone." I begged almost crying and he had pushed me a little which made my back to hit one of the shelves. But then I felt his grasp on my wrist loosen a little.
At the corner of my eyes, I saw a bottle of liquor just beside me. Without second thoughts, I quickly grabbed the bottle and smashed it straight to his head.
He bent down immediately grabbing the part where I had hit him.
Because my eyeglasses fell due to my constant struggling and perhaps, due to fear and panic, I can barely even see the exit.
But I run anyways. I run desperately away from him, fearing for my life.
This can't end like this. I told to myself.
Just when I opened the door, I felt a hand grabbed my hair and had pulled me back but I strongly pulled my body away from him while pulling my hair back.
I can't even feel the pain anymore as my body had gotten numb.
As I turn around, I felt a strong blow just below my stomach.
My body lurched downward, the air unable to come in my system.
My knees buckled down and I fell straight to the ground.
I can barely hear the commotion around me but I was sure I heard someone crying near me as well as Devon's voice.
Save me. I whispered before I lose my consciousness.
