Luna's POV
"Please?" I said, my hands clasped into each other.
It's been an hour since I found out that they were the voices behind the music that I'd been addicted online.
She never thought that it would be a problem since Devon had been so proud to admit that it was his voice while hugging her.
"Just give up already." Jiro told me as I continue to pester each of the boys to sing for her.
She was practically begging for it.
Jack and Joseph who were awaken by my sudden screaming, and now already sprawled on the floor in the living room, watching me as I follow Devon around.
Sylver had went on the room earlier to make sure Sarah don't get awake due to my screaming. I feel bad about the thought but I was too excited.
I don't even know why I had to beg by the way.
I stopped following Devon around, stomping my feet.
"Hey, kiddo, why didn't I know you sing?" I looked around for my cousin who looked taken aback at my sudden question.
He looked away but I heard him snicker as if I also said something stupid.
"We weren't in good terms then. I guess you never really bothered to know what I've been doing." he said, his tone a little upset.
My heart clenched for a moment as I look at the man sitting on the couch who I'd never even gave any attention with for the past decade. Damn, our relationship as cousins before was really that messed up, huh?
"Stop pulling that card on me Jiro." I told him as I crossed my arms above my chest. "It goes the same for you so we're even."
It wasn't entirely my fault so he better shut up about it now.
"Tssss" he scoffed, still annoyed but unable to rebut because he knew I have a point.
"Why can't you sing for me at least one fucking song?" I exclaimed, my lips pouting. Joshua sang earlier. It may be brief but he did so what’s wrong. And why is it hard to make them sing?
I slowly moved back to my seat, plopping my body carelessly on the couch. Noah glared at me.
"What?" I snarled which he just returned with a rolling of eyes. I’m pulling an attitude; I know but what is wrong with requesting for them to sing? They were singers. They may not be active singers now but even people who isn’t a singer by profession sings. I don’t see why they were acting like this now.
"I knew it. She never really had any idea since the beginning." I heard Noah muttered. I looked at him confused.
I looked at Devon's direction who decided to sit at a corner, the farthest from me, his eyes now glued on his phone but I can clearly see how much he had clenched his jaw. His demeanor suddenly changed earlier after I started to ask him to sing for me. He had become so silent and distant which makes this even more confusing.
My eyes focused on the man sprawled on the floor.
An idea crossed my mind.
"Jack, " I sweetly called his name.
I looked at him as he lifts his head to look at my direction while my weird of a cousin is sprawled on the floor beside Jack.
I swear these two always stays together.
My lips formed into a pout, "Can you sing me one song?" I asked of him. And yes, I had pulled my puppy eyes card.
No one. I repeat, no one can resist my puppy looked face.
I watched him gulped from where he is sprawled, Jiro glaring at me after realizing what I was trying to pull. Jack is the youngest and the sweetest of them all. And he also is very sweet to me, treating me like his older sister. I know I can sway him. I have better chances if I will focus on him.
"Jack, no. Don't mind her. She's just playing with you." Jiro said while gritting his teeth.
And it's working. I told myself as I see how lost Jack eyes had been.
"Don't." Jiro added, eyes looking a little worried.
What's so wrong about singing a song? From what I've heard, they were fucking good at it and I barely listened to one song.
I was so into pulling Jack in my trap that I didn't even notice how the others had been so tense the entire time, oblivious to a bigger surprise that's what’s about to happen.
"Jack..." I cooed while Jack looked at Noah who is, apparently, eyeing him warningly.
But then again, you weren't paying any attention.
But soon, you saw Jack's head lay back flat on the ground where he was sprawled.
Jiro and the rest sigh in relief and you pouted, not understanding what's the big deal anyways.
Your shoulder fell in disappointment and decided to finally give up.
"Fine, I-" but before you even finish, a sweet voice enveloped the silence filling in the room, and I was left with awe.
It was beautiful. More beautiful than my weird looking face as of the moment.
I wanna sing, it was my dream…
I wanna dance, and fly to the sky
I started small, even how the world is scary
I wanna end, with a beautiful fantasy…
The room had gotten silent.
The boys didn't utter a single word and my eyes landed on Sylver who was standing outside the bedroom, looking a little worried about what just happened.
And since you're too oblivious about all the shitty tension that the boys were sharing, I clapped your hands, amazed on how beautiful his voice is especially hearing it live.
"Jack, that was so amazing!" I told him, a little too excited but the boy remained silent while lying on the ground.
Everyone still silent and eventually, I started to notice that there is something wrong.
"It feels so good." the youngest muttered, it was so low but I was sure everybody heard clearly. "I-ah..." he seemed to want to tell more but he stopped, lost on his little world.
Jiro suddenly sat down along with Joseph while Sylver moved forward, closer to our direction.
My small house looked even smaller now that seven boys including her are almost circled on her living room.
"Jack..." Jiro looked at their youngest, eyes a little worried.
Again, the silence filling in the room.
You've wanted to speak out and ask what's wrong but your mouth can barely utter a word, mind lost to what's happening.
Jack sat as well, eyes glued on the ground.
I felt my breath hitched upon seeing how the young man seemed to be having a hard time. And once he lifted his head, you and the boys were taken aback when you realized that his eyes are now watery.
"I---ah," he started. "Fuck! I miss it..." he looks back down. "I miss us... the old us."
"Jack..." Joseph moved closer to the younger man, unable to handle his own emotion, he started crying along with Jack.
I had to cover my mouth at the scene in front of me.
It is so heartbreaking.
Then I notice Jiro looked at Devon, his eyes also getting watery.
"Ahhhm, what do you guys want for breakfast?” Noah asked trying to change the subject since the room is getting awkward.
You decided to help him. Unable to handle the situation yourself.
"How about we just go and eat out?" I suggested but everyone looked at Devon who suddenly stood up, going straight to her door.
"Hey, Kim Devon, stop!" the oldest man in the house exclaimed.
Devon indeed stop. Regardless of the situation, he can never disrespect or say No to his older members no matter what.
"Let him be." Jack piped in, his emotion taking over.
"Hey, Jack!" Sylver shutting the boy up.
"What hyung?" Jack exclaimed, now standing up, his face now full of tears and you don't really know what to do.
It's like you've been caught up in a weird drama that you don't have any idea what's about.
"We've been patient for so long. Until when are we going to wait for him?"
Sylver looked startled. He never knew Jack was thinking about this, and his emotion may have been bottled up the entire time.
Joseph was now crying while sitting on the floor and Jiro is patting Jack's back.
"Not now, Jack" Joshua muttered after looking at my direction.
"When are we going to talk about this, next year? Or after another two years? Don't you miss it as well?" he painfully asked while looking at the guys, his voice getting a little higher this time.
"We do!!!!" Noah shouted losing his cool along the way. "I fucking miss it..." he muttered. "I fucking do, every fucking minute." he said as he messes his hair, a few drops of tear rolling on his cheeks.
Anybody would be able to feel the heaviness of each word he had spoken.
"Then go!!!" I turned around after hearing Devon. "You can all go and leave me alone. I never asked any of you to stay." he said, his eyes a little cold.
I got scared for a moment, not able to recognize the Devon that is fuming just in front of the door, his hands balled into a fist.
"But we did!" Everybody looked at Joseph.
Joseph slowly looked up. "We did because we're a team." His eyes now fixed on Devon.
"We're brothers." Jiro added, now crying as well.
"We're a family." Joshua piped in, his eyes glued on the floor.
At this point, my eyes are already hurting from all the crying.
This is just too much to handle.
"We got each other's back." Sylver muttered, his eyes so soft looking at his family breaking down.
"We promised to stay as one." Noah mumble.
"We love you." Jack finished.
I looked at Devon who's now shaking.
"Dev, let's come back, shall we?" Sylver softly whispered.
Silence filled the room.
Until Devon turned around and slammed the door shut to our face.
The boys all fell back, their knees shaking as their emotion was all over the place.
"Oh my God, I'm sorry." You don't know what to do. You have caused a big trouble.
Joshua looked at her softly, "No. It was about to come down anyway. You actually help us if I must say."
"It is my fault." Jack muttered. Jiro hugged the boy in order to comfort him.
"It isn't Jack, everybody knows that." Joseph looked pissed.
"We all agreed on this so it's all on us. We agreed to wait for him." Jiro added.
"Luna!"
Our attention was taken by the person who suddenly spoke.
"Shit, Yessa." you cursed after remembering how you had given your address to your friend.
"I'm coming in okay! By the way, I swear I just saw someone who looked like Kim Devon of TRIG-" her eyes went wide open after seeing all the guys in front of her.
"GER" she continued.
What did she call Devon?
And then the unthinkable happened.
She passed out.
