Devon's POV
"Ah, why?" I laugh as I pull Luna towards me, her cheeks stained filled with tears.
God, she looks so cute.
Unlike how she usually does, she's wearing her contacts today, her hair not pinned by a pony tail. She was wearing a peach summer dress paired with a with strapped sandals, her face adorned with light make up.
I love how she put little efforts in making herself presentable but she still looks so fucking beautiful.
"Stop crying..." I cooed her. "People will think we broke up" and she just pouted on what I said.
Luna and I went to her aunt who is a therapist.
I finally decided to receive some help.
It's two years overdue anyways but I am glad the guys were being supportive.
A chuckle escaped my lips as she covered her face, her cheeks flushed, probably all too shy about crying since earlier.
I decided to let her stay during my therapy session and of course, she heard everything.
Now, she knows the reason why I decided to get some medical help.
It was a little hard to explain so I decided that she stays during my sessions. Besides, I feel like her being there makes me feel more comfortable.
It's a little funny how she ended up being emotional between us two that her aunt decided to stop the session until she calmed down.
"Dev..." her voice cracked signaling that she's going to cry again, she looked up to me as she wrapped her arms around my body.
My breath was almost taken away. She's indeed so beautiful.
"I'm getting better, babe. Stop worrying." I said as I cupped her face with my hands.
I can't help but pinch her cheeks softly.
"You're blushing." I told her.
"You called me babe." she said a matter-of-fact.
"And?"
"I like it." she said as she buried her face to my chest, all to shy about what she just admitted.
Ge'ez, this girl is making me all too nervous.
And then I looked back up and stare straight to my eyes.
She bit her lower lip.
I gulped.
"Stop biting your lip or I might end up kissing you here. I don't think your aunt would like that." I told her, my eyes a little serious.
Soft giggles escape her lips and once again, I was put in a trance.
Everything about her is so beautiful. What did I do in my past life for me to meet someone precious like her?
We both stood up straight as she pushed me a little when we heard the room open, her aunt emerging from the door.
"So..." she looked at the both of us as we stood up uneasy in front of her.
Her aunt is a little intimidating when not in therapy session, if I must say. Her aunt instincts must be kicking in.
She eyed the both of eyes before a gentle smile appeared on her face. "I expect to see your boyfriend next week at your Mom's birthday."
I bowed as her aunt went closer. Her words not registering on my mind.
"He's not my boyfriend Auntie." Luna said, her eyes glued on the floor.
I watch as her aunt raises her eyebrows.
"Is that so? Because I was sure you're hugging each other being lovey-dovey before I came in."
Luna cupped her face, "No. You saw it wrong Auntie, Ahmmm, I was-ahmm, I was just comforting him" I laugh internally as she stuttered.
"Well, judging by your loud cries earlier during the session, I thought you were some girlfriend being emotional for the sake of her boyfriend."
I can't help but laugh at what her aunt said. I flinched a little after I felt her hit me on the shoulder but that doesn't stop me from laughing.
She looked really cute earlier when she was crying.
Honestly, we didn't even notice that she was crying until she ended up in full bawling mode as if someone had just died.
"You two look really good together."
My face flushed into crimson red after I realized what her aunt said. I looked at Luna and realized that she's blushing as hard as I am.
Thank God it isn't just me.
My head snapped back in front when I heard her chuckle.
"Look at you both blushing. So cute." she happily exclaimed as she moved closer and hugged as together, I was a little taken aback but I relaxed my body after a few seconds.
Her touch feels so motherly, I suddenly missed my own mom.
I bowed again when her aunt looked at me. "You're doing pretty good considering that this is your first therapy after two years." I smiled at what she said.
"I guess being with my younger sister and my hyungs had helped me a little." I shyly admitted before I felt a hand slipped into mine.
And of course, her.
I looked beside me and saw Luna beaming at me. I smiled back, my rectangular smile showing.
"That's good to hear. As far as I can see, it won't be long and you'd be back on track again."
Ever since she came, it felt like everything will be alright. Unconsciously, she's bringing back the old me.
Whenever I see her, I feel like I want to be Kim Devon.
My heart says I need to be with her but my mind is somehow restricting me. I guess deep inside, I feel like it will be so unfair for her to have me broken in pieces.
So I asked her to wait... Or I hope she can wait rather.
I hope she can wait until I'm whole again.... until I'm back to my feet...until I can finally say that I am indeed Kim Devon.
A Kim Devon that isn't broken...
Someone who isn't bothered by a painful past...
Someone who isn't escaping into something he needs to face sooner or later.
"I can't wait for that to happen." I said as I grab her hands tighter, afraid she will run away.
I will get better. I told to myself.
For my family...
For Sarah...
For my brothers...
For our fans...
For you...
