chapter 8

As her father walked towards her, safia pretended to be deep asleep, he shook her awake,  yawning she slowly sat up rubbing her eyes like she was actually sleeping and he just woke her,  her hair falling in waves behind her back as she sat crossed led on the soft bed ( she somehow managed to removed her hair band under the blanket,) her lips in a pout she sleepily asked
 * What's wrong, father are you okay?* her father then looked relieved, he replied * no I'm alright, just wanted to check on you, * and that stops her fake lazy movements, she said * really dad, you're lying to me now* * what, no dear, I'm not ..lying, why would I lie* * you hesitated, *  * what* her father asked, * you hesitated before answering, that means you're lying, you can't just barge into my room past midnight looking pale and tell me it's nothing, and since when have you started checking in on me*
safia's a little angry, okay, very angry at her father. She doesn't want to believe what hunter told her, and her father is only proving Hunter's words to be true by blatantly lying to her like this.
After hearing how angry his daughter sounds, Travis knew he need a comeback to convince her, so he goes * well you see dear, I had this bad nightmare, that one of those dogs was hurting you* and that particular phrase got safia even more angry,
  * they're not dogs father they're werewolves, and everyone knows the word nightmare means bad, you don't have to say the two, and that is yet another proof that you're lying to me, you never talk about anything but the werewolves, be it political, or even to your own daughter, is always about the werewolves, why are you so scared of them*
Her father was taken aback so as sir Anthony who's been silently standing in the corner, her father replied, * scared! I'm not scared of those dogs * ...*no right you're not scared, you're terrified by them, the mere mention of a wolf left you pale and terrified, what is it daddy?, what are you hiding from me?, why are we at war with the werewolves?* her father started but was soon cut short, ..
 * OK safia you're right I am scared, I'm scared for my people, my kingdom, and my daughter. Those dogs are..*   *enough father, please, I'm sorry but you must leave my room now, I need to rest, * he sighs helplessly, after a pause he  gave a nod and a week smile then left, she turned to Anthony in the corner * you to Anthony, * so he too left.
Safia flopped down on her bed, she just can't take it anymore, her father is hiding something and he's refusing to tell her, she's so angry that she's sure if she looks at the mirror now, steam would be coming out of her ears, she's also afraid what hunter says might be true, hunter, saying his name made her calmed down a bit, and she soon drift away to sleep, after all she's tired.
As her father left her room, his face unreadable, he orders Anthony, * stay here and don't go anywhere* he continued to his chambers without caring for Anthony's replied, he was thinking, it's time to put an end to this, now she's asking about the werewolves, next she'll question about the whole past, he must talk to her tomorrow, and put an end to her never ending questions, "
The nightmare her father had was not of Safia being hurt by any of them werewolves, but of her finding out the truth  and joining hands with the werewolves.
--Hunter
when hunter entered his room, he saw uncle Malik waiting for him, he's very late today so everyone's mostly asleep, he asked * Is everything okay uncle?* uncle malik answered* oh yes, I just wanted to know if you found anything about the princess from safia* hunter started, *unfortunately no, but I..* he was about to say he left her a message for the princess and that he told her about the past,
but he knows uncle malik would be very angry, and he's so tired right now, * but you..* repeated uncle malik,  hunter finish * but I will keep on trying*  * okay son, take Care, good night* says malik and replied hunter * good night dad* with that hunter got under his blanket and drift away to sleep
--Safia
Safia woke up early that morning, dressed in a short sleeve, long flowy purple dress, she went out of her room and saw sir Anthony still asleep, and the maid isn't there yet, so she went back to her room and wrote in a paper " I'll be in the library" then kept it on sir Anthony's lap, and head to the library,
she's not angry anymore but just a little unhappy, and she wants a book that can cheer her up, as she entered the library that her father spends most of his time in, she heads towards the shelves, while she was looking for her perfect book, she noticed a book at the far end of the shelve, the book is brown in color and written on the cover says history, the book looks quite odd.
she went over and pull the book, and she felt the slightest vibration, and soon the whole book shelf moved to reveal a secret stairway, her eyes went wide, mouth forming an O, she heard someone walked in but she couldn't look away from the sight before her, soon she saw her father quickly pushed the book back in its place, closing the secret stairway, he then turned to her, closing her mouth, he says * let's have a seat, it's time I tell you about the past dear daughter.
