Fortunate's POV

I was in my office when a knock came on my door and I responded for the person to come in.
I saw the security and a strange man carrying a bouquet of beautiful flowers and I was surprised.
" Ma'am, this man here said he has something for you" the security said as they entered.
" Excuse me, are you miss fortunate Bernard?" The strange guy asked.
" Yes that's me" I replied.
" Please sign here" the guy said giving a book to sign and I did.
" Thank you" he said then handed the flowers to me.
" Who sent this?" I asked.
" A note is in it" he replied and he went out along with the security.
I smelled the flowers and they smelled nice and I wondered who sent it though I have a good hunch of who it might be.
I looked for the note and I found it and it says ' I do not think much, I do not think often, but when I think, I think of you!'.
I blushed as I read the message. Ahhh, what's holding me back from accepting this man.
I guess I'm just too scared of ending up with another Playboy, I don't have any choice now but to accept him.
I bring out my and dialled Cynthia's number which she picked after two rings.
" Hello girlfriend, wassup?" She said.
" I'm good, are you still at home?" I asked.
" By this time?....Nah I'm at work, why?... what happen?" She asked.
" Frank just sent me a bouquet of flowers and a lovely note with it" I said smiling.
" Woow, isn't that romantic?...looks like this guy actually mean business" She said.
" Exactly what I thought as well which is why I called to inform you that I'm going to say YES" I said.
" Wait...before you do that please do this last and final test" she said and I wondered what else is needed to be done.
" What test?" I asked.
" You need to get him angry and see how he reacts" she said and I was shocked.
" Whaat!!, are you out of your mind?, I can't do that" I said.
" I promise you that if you do that and he passed then there's nothing to worry about" she said.
" What are we expecting to gain out of his anger?" I asked.
" Anger makes me people tell out their real intention, anger makes people do alot of things, get him angry and you will know the kind of man he is" she said.
" Are you sure about this?" I asked.
" Everything I told you all came out as I said it would, just do this last one" she said.
" Alright, thanks" I said then hung up.
Ohh, how do i get him angry?. should i slap him?, uggh how do i do this?.
I was still thinking when my office line started ringing and i picked immediately.
" yeah" i answered.
" ma'am, we are ready"
" Alright, i'll be there shortly" i replied then hung up.
I'm supposed to be in a meeting with my team and i need to go right now, i picked up some documents and was on my way out when a knocked came on the door.
i went to the door and opened up and then realised it's the boss.
" S-sir, what are you doing here?" i asked.
" Good morning beautiful" he said giving me his charming smile.
" Good morning" I replied.
" Ahhh, I see you got my message" he said pointing to the flowers.
" You don't have to send me flowers sir, I think I've made myself clear" I said.
" I told you whenever we are alone call me frank" he said.
" I can't do that sir and if you don't mind I need to attend a meeting that will bring benefit to your company" I said then went out office.
I looked back and see him still following me and by now people are noticing us but he seems not to care at all.
" C'mon, why are you doing this?.......why don't you just hear me out?" I said softly which is only drawing more attention.
" STOP IT SIR, IT'S NINE O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING DON'T YOU HAVE ANYTHING ELSE TO DO THAN THIS?" I said in what I thought was in a low tone.
It was when I saw everyone's attention on us that I realised that I wasn't in any way silent, I looked at his face and he was disappointed.
Oh God, what have I done?
As I was about to apologise he left my presence without altering a word and I knew I screwed up already.
I had to leave to avoid the uncomfortable glare I'm receiving from everyone.

Bella's POV

Today I'm going by myself to secure the New York contract, there's no one else that can do it other than me.
It's now I know I made a mistake firing Frank like that, maybe I could've view the matter differently.
Everything that happened was all his fault not mine cause what else am I suppose to do in a situation like that.
I called my secretary on the office line and after a while she entered.
" Yes ma'am" she replied.
" When and what time is the schedule for the meeting?" I asked.
" You're meeting in Brentwood Hotel and suite, 5pm" she said.
" Okay that will be all" I said.
" Alright ma'am" she said and was about to leave.
" Wait, any update on Frank?" I asked.
" No ma'am" she replied and I nodded and she went out.
Okay then, I guess I will have to trust myself on this and try to win this.

When it's almost time for the business proposal, I do some makeover then called my driver to be at the garage.
I get some documents with me and then informed my secretary and I head over to the garage.
I got to the garage and entered my car then the driver drove off to the hotel.
Not long after we got to the hotel and the driver Parked the car and I went in to the hotel.
I entered and met with the man that's to view my proposal at the reception.
" Good evening Miss Richmond, I'm Jerry Miller" he said and I shook his hand.
" Nice meeting you Mr Miller" I said.
" Please be seated" he said and I sat down.
" I wouldn't want to waste your time so let's get down to business" he said.
" Sure" I replied then hand him my proposal for him to go through.
" Miss Richmond your proposal is enticing but you should know there are other companies with better offer" Mr Miller said.
" I'm aware of that but you should know our company ha-has bee....." I was saying then got distracted by something or should I say someone.
I saw a man and a lady coming down from the stairs with their hands wrapped around each other.
Actually their actions aren't the main reason that got me distracted was that the man looks exactly like my fiancee.
No, it-it can't be. I mean that can't be my him right. No it can't be.
I watched as they continue their love act as they went towards the entrance.
" Miss Richmond?, is everything alright?" Mr Miller asked.
" Excuse me, please give me a minute" I said then pulled out my phone and dialled Gary's number.
I waited for the call to connect and when it did I was shocked, surprised, disappointed, bewildered that the phone rang right there.
I couldn't explain the feeling that was going through me at this moment, I watched as he pick it up.
" Hello baby" he said.
" H-hi" I said crying silently.
" Hey baby, are you alright?.....you don't sound good" he said.
" I'm fine.... it's just a flu I'll be fine" I said.
" Okay baby" he said.
" heyy, um......are you at home?" I asked.
" No, I'm taking care of a very important business, you know how my work is" he said and I couldn't help but shed more tears.
" Heyyy..." He was about to say then I hunged up.
