I never believed in love at first sight cause I don't think it actually exist but now I do. Even with my boss Bella it wasn't at first sight.
" Sir" she said bringing me back from the fantasy island.
" Yes, uhh.... yeah sorry, who are you?" I asked smiling at her.
" My name is Fortunate Bernard, the director" she said.
" Woww, I guess I'm fortunate to have you" I said still looking straight into her eyes with looking away.
" You say?" She asked.
" Sorry, I mean the company is so fortunate to have someone like you " I said quickly comporting myself and not be a pervert.
" Thanks Sir" she said smiling.

" Sir, I need you to go through these files before we start the processing" she said handling some files to me.
I collected it and start going through it, it's about the latest of our products and it needs confirmation from me.
" It's all good......you can go ahead" I said.
" Okay sir....... please sign at the bottom" she said.
" Oh yeah right" I said then put in my signature and handed the file back to her.
" That will be all Sir, thank you" she said and was about to leave.
" Wait" I said and she stopped then turned to me.
" Sir"
" Don't take this the wrong way.......how about we have lunch together" I said hoping she will agree without second thought.
" Sir?"
" I think you heard me the first time"
" I'm sorry Sir, I'll be very busy" she said.
" Hmm.....when do you get off work?" I asked again and she furrowed her brow.
" It's 5pm" she said.
" What do you say if we have dinner together?" I asked.
" I don't think that will be possible, I need to head over somewhere and it's very important" she said and I know she's making it up.
" Uhm Okay.......then we will find time tomorrow, hope there won't be anymore excuses" I said giving her my Charming smile.
" Okay Sir" she said then leave.
Hmm. She's playing hard to get trying not to look cheap but not to worry it's only a matter of time before you become mine.
I'll keep trying and make sure you become mine, I couldn't get Bella because she was engaged but I'll make sure I get you.
I just hope you're not in any relationship cause that will actually spoil everything, I can't let that happen.
I guess now I have a reason to stop my Playboy act, I've found the right one for me so now it's time for me to put an end to it.
A knock on the door jolts me back from my thought and I answered the person to come in and my secretary appear.
" Sir.... it's time for the board meeting" he said.
" Oh Okay" I said then stood up and went out with him.

In the afternoon I was just about to go out to have lunch when a knock came on the door.
" You can come in " I said then the receptionist entered and I remembered that I told her to come see me.
" Afternoon Sir......you told me to come" she said shyly.
" Uh yeah I did but that's not necessary, there's no need anymore..... it's been taken care of" i said.
" Oh" she muttered and there was a disappointed look on her.
" Sorry for the disturbance" I said.
" It's nothing sir, well if you need anything......I'm always available" she said smiling.
" I'll put that in mind.... thank you" I said then she left.
I can't engage in such act again, I made a promise and I must keep to it, I can't go back on my words.
Bella's POV

I was going through some files given to me by my secretary and a knock came on the door.
" C'mon In" I invited then my secretary entered.
" Ma'am" she said.
" Yes Stella, what is it?" I asked.
" Good news ma'am" she said excitedly and I looked up at her.
" Really?..... alright what is it?" I asked.
" Remember you told me to check the email earlier and......."
" Leave the story and tell me what it is" I interrupted.
" Ma'am, we are among the three companies selected to take on the New York contract" she said and I was surprised.
" Really?" I said happily.
" Yes ma'am" she replied.
" Woww, so now all we need is to win the contract for it to be ours" I said.
" Yes ma'am" she replied.
" Good, Good...call me Frank immediately, let's work on it" I said then sat down.
" Ma'am...you fired him remember" she said.
" Yeah I know, I thought I told you to get through to him to resume work" I said.
" Yeah, you did but unfortunately I'm unable to get through to him, infact I went to his house..."
" Wait!, You went to his house?, you know his house" I asked.
" It's not what you're thinking, I asked around for his address, that's it" she said.
" Okay, so how did it go?" I asked.
" He wasn't there, I think he moved out" she said.
" Seriously?" I asked.
" Yes ma'am"
" Uhmm, what about the ones you told me I need to select? " I asked.
" They should be here soon" she said.
" Okay, you can go now" I said then went out.
Where could he have gone? Has he been employed by another company? Did I make a mistake firing him?.
Damn it, not now of all time. this is a very important contract we can't afford to miss.

Miss Fortunate drove into the compound of her apartment and she got down and went into the house.
" Hey girlfriend, welcome back" her friend Cynthia said as she walked in.
" Hi Cynthia" she replied and sat on the couch beside her.
" How was work today?" Cynthia asked.
" Same as always but you won't believe what happened today" she said sitting comfortably towards her.
" What happened?" Cynthia asked.
" I think my boss is hitting on me" fortunate said and she furrowed her brow in disbelief.
" Are you sure of what you're talking about cause that man is old enough to be father besides isn't that inappropriate" Cynthia said and she punched her playfully.
" I'm not talking of the man silly, I meant his son that took over" she correctly.
" Seriously?" Cynthia said in surprised.
" Yeah, it was very obvious cause he was just staring at me" fortunate said.
" You can't be serious, so what then happened?" Cynthia asked.
" He asked me out and I gave him an excuse" she said.
" Are you crazy?, why would you even do that?" Cynthia asked.
" What else do you expect me to do?" She asked.
" If it's indeed the gorgeous and dashingly looking man I saw on TV yesterday then I think there's a lot wrong with you" Cynthia said.
" The man looks like a Playboy, I saw him flirting with the receptionist on his first day at work, I can't get involved with someone like that" she said.
" You can't judge him like that, that's ridiculous" Cynthia said.
" C'mon cynth, you know the reason why I don't want to get myself involve in any relationship, you should understand" she said.
" Yeah you're right I'm sorry" Cynthia apologized.
" But are you even sure he's hitting on you or maybe there's another reason he's asking you out" Cynthia asked.
" What other reason would a man asked a woman out for dinner?" She countered.
" You got a point, so what if he wants a relationship with you?" Cynthia asked.
" I'm afraid of having another heartbreak remember what happened with Vincent, I can't go through that again" she said.
" I understand babe, if he ask you out agree with and hear him out and from there we will know what next to do" Cynthia said.

" Why don't you take a shower then come back to eat" Cynthia said.

Frank drove into the compound then parked the car and went inside.
" Mom, Dad, I'm home" he said as he entered but none of them replied.
" Mom, is anyone there?" Frank called and after a while Erica came out to meet him.
" Welcome back Sir" she said.
" Yeah, where are my parents?" He asked.
" They went out to visit a friend" she replied.
" Is that so?, okay then I'll be in my room" Frank said then climbed the stairs to his room without sparing her another look.
A while later in his room someone knocked on the door which he answered and Erica entered.
" Yes?"
" I want to inform you that your food is ready" she said.
" Okay, I'll be there in a minute" Frank said expecting her to leave but instead she stood right there.
" Is there anything else?" Frank asked.
" Nothing sir, I was hoping there's something I can do for you" she said and Frank knew what she meant.
" If I need anything I call for you, okay" he said.
" Okay sir" she said then turned to leave.
" Wait!" Frank said and she stopped and quickly turned to him.
" Yes sir"
" I want you to delete whatever idea it is that you have in that little head of yours, you're maid here so focus on what you came here for" he said.
" Whatever happened last time will never repeat itself.....is that clear?"
" Y-yes sir, yes sir" she replied hurriedly.
" Good.....you can go now" he said then she left immediately.
' it's not your fault, I caused it all. Well all of that ends from now on.

Frank's POV

Today I planned on taking the girl to dinner tonight, I pray and hope she doesn't turn me down.
Well I don't think she will cause no lady has ever turned me down, I don't think anyone will refuse to be in a relationship with me.
" Fred, please call me Miss Bernard" I said to my secretary.
" Alright sir" he said then went out and in a few minutes later Fortunate entered and I smiled.
" Good morning sir, you called for me" she said as she entered.
" Yeah..yeah I did" I replied.
" Um, it's actually about what we talked about yesterday, so let's have dinner after work today" I said and she gave me a confused look.
" That's the reason you called?" She said.
" Is it not worth a reason?" I asked.
" No, I mean i find it quite early to discuss something like this" she said.
" Well you will pardon me because I love to clear things up immediately, so tell me, dinner after work?"I asked and she was quiet for some seconds.
" Okay"
" Okay good, I guess I'll pick you up in the evening"I said.
" Okay sir, I better go now" she said.
" Yeah, alright" I replied and she left.

So now that it's cancelled there's nothing holding us back.
