NICHOLAS
When I look around I saw people continue to chatter and the noise here gives me headaches. I then look at my parents who were happily talking to their friends. I sat on a chair not far from their table and as I watch but them my mind was flying into other things. I just saw her again after a year and she's now giving me stress once again.
But in the first place why I am still busy thinking about her?
"Hey, Nicholas."
My face crumpled when Jasper sat beside me and pointed out something. 
"What is it?"
"Why did you have to be that harsh on Rosalyn? She's crying right now."
When I still haven't looked at where he was pointing at, he held my head and turned my head.
"Jasper, stop it! She's not a kid anymore."
"You have to look at them."
"I don't want to!"
"No, you have to."
He insisted once again. Really, why is he this strong?
"Argh, why do you three have to be this stubborn?"
When I pushed him and look at the back I saw Jasmin wiping Rosalyn's face.
"Happy?"
"That's your fault."
" I see, She's still a crybaby."
"That was not the point."
"Still, I won't take back whatever I said earlier."
"Damn, bro."
He scratch his head and sat on the chair. I was glad that he didn't bother me again and just focus on his phone. They started to play a song and the adults were now dancing.
"That's gross."
"Yeah, but they're in love so why not? They all look happy."
I snatch Jasper's juice and his eyes widened the moment I finished the juice.
"Damn why don't you get yours!"
"I'm not sorry, Jasper."
"Fuck you!"
"Jasper?!"
His eyes widened when Auntie Catherine heard when he cursed. She stopped dancing and aunt and uncle were both glaring at Jasper.
"I'm sorry, Mom!"
He then runs away and when I look at Auntie Catherine she was still glaring at Jasper who was running away.
"That brat. This is your fault coz you like to curse in front of them."
"Hey, let's not ruined the good vibes. Just let him go just for today."
"Okay." When the other guest left at six we then gathered inside the hotel. Dinner will be served inside and maybe I was really cursed to see her face forever because she was just sitting in front of me.
She's really ugly. Her straight jet black hair was tied in a bun, fox eyes and the shade of her eye was deep blue. Her bare lips have a shade of pink and overall, she's still ugly.
Ugh. I think I just lost my appetite.
"Eww. I lost my appetite."
I sighed and shake my head.
"By the look at Nicholas's face, I bet he was thinking the same."
I take a last glance at Jasmin and Rosalyn before I focused on my food.
"The kids will like it."
Auntie Catherine said and mom nodded.
"So, we will do it here?"
"It's already dark, why don't we just do it on our Island?"
Dad suggested and they look at us. It seems that they are up for something.
"What is it?" I asked them.
"A treasure hunt!"
Mom said excitedly and I nod. That seems nice.
"That looks interesting."
"We played it before $10,000 on each of us and one of us will hide it, though we played it on Kiero and Nic's island. It was fun finding some treasure."
"Omg, mom let's do it!"
Everyone agreed to do it after we eat dinner. They made us wait outside while the adults are hiding the money inside the resort.
"Rosalyn, let's team up and we'll split the money. Kyahh!"
"Then I will team up with Nicholas here."
"Then this was girls vs boys now?"
"Just don't cry when you don't find any single treasure, Jasmin."
"It was you who was not supposed to cry, Jasper. The last laugh will be ours. Bwahaha."
"Don't you realize that you're overreacting right now?"
I said and her smile faded and scratch her head. Rosalun laughed.
"Right."
When they said that we can now go inside the three of them run inside but when Jasper notice that I was just walking he grabbed my hand and pulled me. I don't why I spotted the money easily but mom was cheering when I showed the cheque to them.
"$20,000."
"Kiero and Cathy's cheque was now out!"
"What there is a cheque?"
"There is no cash darling!"
"Go Baby!"
I stare at Uncle who was cheering for Rosalyn, she then smiled at him and wave her hand.
"Yes, Daddy."
While I was looking around I bumped into Rosalyn.
"There is another cheque on the right side. On the portrait."
I felt her look at me. She cleared her throat and said okay before she left me there. After we played the treasure hunt we decided to stay a night at the resort and the next day when I woke up I was told that Rosalyn and her dads already left so early in the morning since Uncle Jeff and Uncle Alvin need to go work.
"Let's go, Nicholas."
I sighed and look at the car outside.
"Mom, when will I get my own car?"
"Why? Your still seventeen and you already want your own car?"
"Why not? My friend has his own car."
"Your dad will buy you one if you already know how to drive."
"Dad?"
I look at my dad who was sipping on his coffee while reading some documents.
"Just listen to your mommy."
"That's unfair."
"Unfair your face. If you did graduate with honors, I'll think of giving you one."
"Promise?"
"Promise. I was kinda thinking now that Nicholas was ashamed of me dropping him off at his university."
"That's not true. I just don't want you to be tired, I'm already old enough to go to the university on my own."
"But I want to see you safely go inside your campus. So, shall we go now?"
"Dad, help me."
"Just let your mother."
Mom held my hand and we got inside her car, after he drove me to my school she left when I already got inside. I was greeted by my classmates the moment I got inside our room and I spotted my cousin who was noisy at the back.
"Nicholas, come here for a second."
"What?"
"Coach told us that there will be a training later."
"I see."
"Let's go together."
"What are you a girl? You won't get lost here."
"Sometimes I just want to hit you."
"Same, Jasper."
He sighed and went back to his seat and talk to our classmates. Our room was always noisy when will this room get quiet?
"Hi, Nicholas! Good Morning."
It was Jade who just arrived. Then I suddenly remember my words yesterday. 'I'm sure you don't know her but I do have a crush on Jade, she was not on the same level with Rosalyn so stop teasing me to her. It's kinda annoying you know.'
"Oh, Good Morning."
She's pretty but I lied about the part that I have a crush on her. There is something wrong with the way she acts in front of me. Is it true that she had a crush on me?
"Did you have a nice weekend?"
Jade smiled widely and I just nod at her.
"That's good to know."
"Yeah."
"I heard that there will be a basketball practice later."
"Yes, Jasper told that to me a while ago."
"Then, as the captain of the cheer dance, I will cheer for you... a-and your teammates!"
"Yeah, thank you."
"I will go now..."
I nod at her and before she got far away from me and sat on her chair I heard her saying.
"So embarrassing."
