"Hello, Jinny."
"Hi, Rosalyn."
I smiled to greet my other classmates as I walk into the hallway.
"Good Morning."
"Good Morning, Rosalyn!"
"You look like you are running for the position of President in our school."
"Gah!"
I touch my chest and massage it. I was surprised at Allen who suddenly showed up beside me. Why do they like to surprise me?
"You seem surprised, I'm sorry."
"Honestly where did you learn that? I was not aware of your presence not until you spoke."
"I read it in a book."
"A book? Just what kind of book are you reading huh? Do you have plans on being a killer? "
He just stare at me and his smile faded.
"That's a joke right?"
"Yep, I'm just kidding. Guess I'm not fit for jokes. Forget I said that."
"You are so serious. I do get your joke."
Then I started to walk faster and he followed me.
"So, why are you walking so fast?"
"This is my right pace of walking. I can't bear to be late."
"You won't greet them?"
He then pointed my other classmates who were in the hallway. I glare at him and he laughs. I stop and faced him. I look left and right and when there is no one I opened my mouth.
"I suddenly remember something. Jude likes to tease me back then, you still like me, no?"
I saw how his cheeks turned red the moment I ask that. Woah, what the hell?
"In your dreams and I do not like you when we are still kids!"
"Then that's good. We'll be good friends now that you said that you don't like me."
"What if I said that I like you, you won't talk to me?"
"I'll avoid you. But like what this person said I'm not pretty so I won't assume that you have a crush on me. I was just teasing you, I told you I'm not good at jokes. Then I will go now, have a nice day Allen."
"See you later?"
"Yeah, see you."
Gosh, I have a thick face asking like that. When I got into our classroom after a minute the class started and I focused on the lecture. I participated in the lesson and when it was already lunchtime I got my lunch box and purse.
"Rosalyn join us!"
"Okay!"
I held Ariel's hand and when we stepped outside our classroom I unluckily step on something slippery and I was about to lose my balance when someone held my other hand preventing me to fell.
"Gosh, that was scary. Thank you-"
I stop talking when I saw Allen. So, he is the one who helped me. I cleared my throat and made a small smile.
"Thanks."
I awkwardly said and avert my gaze at him.
"You okay?"
"Yeah." I get my hand and look at Ariel.
"Gosh, You almost hit the floor. Do you want us to go to the clinic?"
"No, I'm fine."
"Thank you, Allen, if you're not that fast to hold her she will surely get hurt."
"That was nothing. I'm glad Rosalyn was safe."
"Yeah, thanks to you."
I rub my arm and look at Ariel.
"So, why are you here when your room was on the third floor?"
Ariel asked and she look at me and I shake my head.
"I just have something to do here."
Then he showed me the papers he was holding.
"I just get our essay papers."
"Can I see it?"
"Sure."
"O my gosh, you did get a perfect score. Anyways would you like to join us for lunch?"
"That would be great."
"Let's get going now!"
And just a minute after that Ariel's friends showed up. Just right on time.
"Hi, Allen. I'm Francine."
"I'm Alice, nice to meet you!"
"Ah, I'm May!"
"Hello, nice to meet you."
"Then this is Rosalyn."
"Yeah, I know her."
They look at me with suspicious eyes and I shake my head once again.
"And how did you two know each other?"
She asked that while looking at me with those sharp eyes.
"Ah, you could say that we are good friends."
He said that and even though they are still follow-up questions Allen dismissed it by saying that he was already hungry. On our way to the cafeteria, Allen was greeted by everyone.
"Telling me that I look like I'm running to be a president when he does look like one."
"Did you say something?"
He said and I shook my head. I want him out of my sight.
"I said that the cafeteria was crowded."
"Of course, since Allen was here."
"Yeah, I momentarily forgot that he was famous."
"Me? famous? Nah."
"Even though you don't admit it everyone knows you."
I followed Ariel and I buy two sandwiches and chips.
"So, what's your lunch for today?"
"Pasta and sausage. I told Daddy to add some since I'll share it to you guys."
"Let me taste it too!"
"Me too."
I let them get some pasta and I look at Allen. The only thorn among roses.
"Get some too, my Daddy was good at cooking."
"Thanks. So, you always bring lunch since your daddy always cooks for you?"
"Yes."
"Hey, Allen let's play later."
"Okay. I'll be there when our class ended."
"Bring your girlfriend too, so Nalu won't be lonely."
"I don't have a girlfriend!"
"Such a joke, I heard you talking to this certain girl. Don't hide her, dude."
"I really don't have a girlfriend."
"Chester!"
"They are already calling me. I'll see you then later, be sure to bring her."
"You're already taken?"
May asked and he shake his head.
"No, he was just joking. I am not seeing anyone since I'm focused on my studies."
"I like studious guys."
Said, Francine. I like studious guys means I like you, Allen.
I just listen to their conversation as he continues to deny this girl. If he was Nicholas for sure he will already bring up Jade.
Really, Rosalyn? Nicholas?
"Hey, what are you thinking so deeply?"
Ariel nudges me and I blink.
"What is it?"
"Allen was asking if we want to watch them playing basketball."
"Oh, and what did you guys say?"
"We accept it. So?"
"Ah, I don't know if I can come since I still haven't asked my Daddy if he would permit it."
"But it will just be for an hour. After that, we can now go home."
"I don't know."
"What about we stay for minutes? We'll just watch them play for a minute."
"Okay."
"Yes!"
"I should do my best then since I will be having such beautiful ladies watching us later."
"Kyahh! We will cheer for you, Allen."
"Thank you, Francine."
After we eat lunch, I told them that I will just buy bottled water. While they are waiting for me at the entrance I started to run in their direction and today is really an unlucky day for me.
I was trip on the entrance and this time I did fell. My butt cheeks hurt and everyone sees it.
So embarassing!
"Rosalyn today is your lucky day this is the second time! Haha."
"Shut up, Russell!"
"Here, let me help you."
I look at his hand and I put mine on his. He did help me on getting up and I check myself and was relieved when there is no bruise.
"Thank you."
"Sorry for not making it on time. That must hurt."
Allen suddenly popped and Russell then smirked.
"But it was good that I am not injured."
"Let me check it."
I was about to stop him but it was already late since he already knelt on the ground. Imagine John Allen Miller one of the famous people here in our school was kneeling in front of me.
"There is redness on your knees, I'm scared that it will be swollen in no time. Let's go to the clinic so the nurse can check it."
"But I'm really fine."
"It will be best if she could see it."
"Is it just me or you two look like lovers."
I immediately look at Ariel, I forgot that they were there. They are just staring at us with suspicious eyes.
"We're friends."
"I hope so."
Then Francine started to walk leaving us there. Oh no, she's probably mad at me.
But I didn't do anything wrong. This is really nothing.
