The atmosphere that day was filled with sadness. Little Candramawa's cries drifted with the wind. Calling sorrow for those who are passing by. The girl collected the pieces of meat that were scattered in front of her. Confused, which one should hug. Chandrawawa shouted. It was so loud, that not only did everyone grieve, they ran towards Marlon's house.
To little Candramawa's ears, all the sounds suddenly became boisterous. Making his head buzz full. Someone killed her mother. Is Jesse dead too? She still had time to think about it. The chamomile tea lay in a pool of red. This smell made her want to vomit.
In a moment Candramawa screamed again. Long and non-stop. Until her father came, out of nowhere. The man crouched beside her. Marlon wanted to hold her, take her daughter as far as possible. So that the memory doesn't stay long and affect her growth and destroy her future. This girl is still too small. But Candramawa did not want her father to take her with him. She struggled. She wanted her mother, in a whole if possible.
Little Candramawa didn't know what it meant to die. Candramawa only understands leaving, that those who have left will return one day. But Marlon insisted. The girl was so annoyed. She felt the skin of her palm tear, golden blue crystals sticking out from it. The girl gaped, not knowing there was anything more shocking than what happened in front of her.
Everyone chuckled. She read inside their heads—all of them. Including her father's. Also someone who is grateful for the death of her mother, Candramawa who is not sure who.
“I will die too, Father!” screamed Candramawa in fear. She waved her hands hoping that the aisikla would fall from her tiny palms. Marlon hugged her daughter. The man was crying but made no sound.
"You will be fine, sweetheart." Marlon was devastated, but still able to cheer up. His skin was torn because of his child's aisikla. "No one will hurt you. I promise."
Then Chandrawawa nodded. She was still sobbing, but her charms slipped away, Candramawa believed all of her father's words.
Then one night, many years later when Candramawa knew what it meant to die and all the Reedas had disappeared from this city, Candramawa was sitting on the roof of her house.
A red light emerged from behind the old pine forest. Young Candramawa couldn't stop herself from chasing her. She remembered her mother. Red is Reeda. Like her mother. Candramawa walks through the forest. Jumping from one branch to another, getting closer to the source of the red light.
From afar she saw the figure. Candramawa recognized Garg. Her father's friend, her teacher too. A Weesa. She picked up something from the foot of a forked pine tree. Takes her away after thanking him.
Slowly Candramawa approached the old tree. Staring at him was writhing. The tree is now alive. The girl counts. How long has she not played here? After her mother died. She was crying. She didn't know why. Her eyes are so sore. Like something had gouged her out.
"His name is Alfrore." Laureen appeared behind her. The girl turned around. Nod. Then spell the name one more time. Candramawa promised to come there more often. Bringing back all the time she left behind. Alfrore hugged Candramawa with his branch, then after that Candramawa returned to her house.
Arriving home, Marlon was waiting in her room. "Wash your face first." Marlon suggested.
Candramawa ran to the bathroom, washed her face and eyes—oh!
"It's fine, let me explain how it happened." Marlon clasped his hand. Lead the girl to sit down. Tells everything he knows about the end times prophecy. About Candramawa, and the last Reeda.
Candramawa is the only Lumons who can read Marlon's mind, but since that night she has promised to stop.
It was that prediction that made Candramawa strive to this day. She didn't want to die this way. Felis approached Candramawa. She grinned like a hungry bear. Candramawa straightened up, she knew no fear.
"Felis, remember who you are," said Candramawa. Inside the girl's heart was chanting a prayer to the God of Heaven and Hell at the same time.
Felix was speechless. Her eyes were sharp. Candramawa was sure that the owner of the body was still there. But not with the usual awareness. While buying time, Candramawa dragged her feet to the other side of the cave. The wound hasn't closed properly. She could still feel the pain.
"You won't do that to me Felis." Candramawa grumbled. Looking for a way to end this threat soon. Unfortunately, before she had time to come to her senses, Felis pushed Candramawa until she fell to the ground. Her chin was torn slightly. Felis crouched over the body of her prey. Their eyes met. And, the oddity reappeared.
Something invisible floated from inside Candramawa's body. The girl felt it. The fear, pain and tiredness disappeared. Relief covered Candramawa's heart like rain in a dry month. Until now Felis had made her feel this peaceful twice.
Candramawa did not have enough enthusiasm to fight. Candramawa was made to surrender her life calmly. "I know it's not you Felis." said Candramawa haltingly. Her tears flowed down her temples.
Felis panted heavily. She shook her head several times. Something revolted in there. And Candramawa took the opportunity to stand up.
"Oh, Candramawa." Felis sounded worried. But her attitude suddenly changed again, she pushed Candramawa's body against the cave wall. Her hand touched the girl's chin, her forefinger dipped into the graze there. Felis wiped off the blackish blood. Sighing sharply, Felis licked her fingertips.
“Felis, I am Candramawa. I know you there. Master yourself." Candramawa fights the sense of peace offered by Felis in a miraculous way.
Felis looked into her prey's eyes deeply.
“You are not this weak Felis. I know you can hold yourself well."
Felis sneered, “Yeah. I'm not that weak.”
“If that's the case, you should be able to restrain yourself more. Otherwise, Garg would be very embarrassed to see you like this. Also Mrs. Furla.” Even though Candramawa's words sounded firm. Actually, at this time Candramawa was about to give up.
Felix blinked twice. "Geez. You're right." Felis looked at Candramawa's eyes full of regret. She hugged the girl. So tight.
Candramawa felt her bones breaking. she shouted.
"But I will eat you first."
“Then you will go home and eat your mother?” replied Candramawa.
"Maybe," Felis replied without embarrassment.
"I think Genta's death will be useless at this rate. Yes, it's up to you."
Felis became confused. Gradually her consciousness rose to the surface. "What do you mean by that?"
“You are here for a greater purpose than having to eat me Felis. You are the last Reeda. Show the Garg killers that you are better than this. Don't make Garg feel bad for picking you up from Alfrore's feet that day.” While persuading, Candramawa secretly prepared her aisikla on Felis' back.
Felix thought for a moment. “Garg killer.” she repeated.
Then Candramawa could hear Reeda's sighs—she quickly put away her aisikla. Felis pushed Candramawa out of her arms. She was panting. She shook her head several times. After that she looked down.
"Forgive me." Felis was herself again. She knelt in front of Candramawa.
Chandrawawa is relieved. Her body slumped to the cave floor. Gratitude overflowed within her. Even if it has to end by eating each other, or if Felis needs it. Perhaps she would give her life for nothing. She is there to accompany Felis. A last Reeda. But that would not have happened until the Quartz Bell was invented.
Felis was still looking at Candramawa who was stroking her injured chin. Slowly Felis drew closer. She cupped her hands on Candramawa's face. Like the tranquility of a pine forest in the town of Este, Candramawa closed her eyes, letting the dark guide her thoughts.Download Novelah App
