Chapter 3 Three

Arlene POV
"I know that!!" Solenn quickly took from me the gray ball I had found earlier.
She stood up and adjusted her posture. It took a deep breath and blinked, "Pokemon!! Go!!" she rolled it on the floor.
It was as if I heard the chirping of cricket as the woman was doing this.
I frowned at her. "What are you doing, Solenn?" I picked it up and wiped it on my jacket.
"Arlene, are you sure about that thing?" Larmine stopped encoding on her laptop. She turned the swivel chair in front of us. "I've searched on the internet. There are no results, even the gold necklace you say has the same design as that, it's none. Maybe it's just customized."
"Better find out what happen, Arlene. My Pastry shop is ruined! Paying me money doesn't deserve my blood, sweat, and tears for my dream shop!" she said crying and ate the cake. I immediately told her what had happened when I got here. "I need justice!"
Solenn owns that famous pastry shop.
I just focused on the gray ball I was holding. I'll just leave this matter to my companions.
I sighed.
Larmine glared at Solenn, "Hey Solenn, don't spread your cake here in my room. I hate ants."
"Yes, missy" she replied, before snorting again.
I let out a hard sigh. "Look what you've done, Solenn," I showed him the cracked part of the ball. "Your childish act wins again."
"Just leave it at that. Maybe there's something inside?" she suggested.
"Yeah, she's right. Let's go to the living room. Don't come to my room, please." Larmine, suggested.
I agree with them. We went down to the living room together. I turned off my cellphone first because it was just another office call. I'm looking for it because I still need to investigate.
Tsk!
‘When small cases it is always with me.
Ever since I almost died because of the big case assigned to me, they have been careful. Says the team’s ace shouldn’t be lost. They just include me in deductions and investigations but in cornering the opponent is not, the thing that I love that they withheld from me. Like now, they only need my brain. What else am I good at in martial arts and it looks rusty. They just made me a martial arts trainor of newbies!
"It's just here, maybe the floor won't break, right? It's still expensive," Larmine. "Here, here." she pointed to the floor.
"Okay." I suddenly dropped the ball.
It deteriorated. The only surprise was that its color suddenly disappeared. It is also empty. It became transparent. that. It looks like glass, or glass.
"Weird thing. I hate you, Solenn!" Larmine. "Especially you Arlene!" she pointed me.
My forehead furrowed. "W-what? Why? You're the one who invited me here in your living room." she hurriedly picked up the clutter on the floor one by one. I also don't sometimes understand the way a person's brain works, especially them, my friends. "I'm busy with my work now because my secretaries are scolding me. They say I'm just giving order!? Heck, how dare them?"
"That's good. You're so cunning!" said Solenn and helped her clean up.
"I'll just clean it up — w-wait, what's that?" she let go of what she had picked up and covered his ears.
"Which one?" Solenn asked.
"Do you hear? T-That voice! A girl, i-it's singing! You know I don't believe on g-ghosts."
My forehead furrowed.
“Are you on drugs, Larmine?” Solenn smirked. She turned to me and gave me a startled look. "Oh, do you seem dazed? You have diarrhea?"
"No I-I heard that, too." I said.
"Huh!?"
It seems like a girl who's humming a beautiful melody. I don't know what song it is, the song can make you feel the paradise 'presence. Relaxing, and at the same time terrifying.
"Oh my, me, too!" even Solene. The three of us looked at each other. "It's singing — no, humming. The ghost is also a singer, please teach me?."
"A beautiful melody." I said.
"It's creeping the hell out of me! Do I need to call a priest !?" said the panicked Larmine.
Suddenly we were startled by smoke coming out of the shards of the ball. The two hid behind me when the smoke suddenly moved as if it had a life of its own. Gradually it formed a figure. At first we didn’t understand what it was, until it became human -shaped. What the hell !?
"I do believe on GHOST NOW!"
"Shut up, Larmine!" I confront her.
How did I become the best friends of these crazy people!?
They both shouted when a man's body fell to the floor. Gradually, the smoke that enveloped its body disappeared. I would have approached it so, only if Solenn didn't hugged me tightly, her eyes was still closed.
"Solenn can you maybe let me go?" she followed.
"Yes, miss weird." said Solenn.
"Arlene are you going to approach that? I'm like, he looks handsome!" I ignored Larmine and just approached him.
I slightly kicked its arm, hoping to get a response. When dissatisfied I squatted and looked at his face. Is this really a human? Why from the smoke? Advance technology again from mad scientists maybe, damn people! I can’t get nervous because this isn’t the first time I’ve seen inventions. In one case I was about to die that was our subject. Inventions of insane inventors and scientists sold at illegal auction. However, only now have I seen something like this.
I patted his face. "S-Sir"
I put my ear to his nose and looked at his chest. Simultaneously with the breat hits the movement of his chest. He looks fine. White polo and black pants. I also checked the wrist and it was fine as well. It's just like sleeping.
"What, Arlene?" said Solenn, I turned to them.
"Come help me carry this. Let's go to the couch. It looks like he's just asleep."
"Is it ok? That's a man, isn't it?" Larmine asked. I just nodded. "The creepy one, why is there smoke. It smells like it's roasted, it's still handsome. Smoked handsome."
I just ignored what she said. They helped me carry him on the sofa. Its body is small but heavy.
"I'll go back to the precinct first, call me right away if something happens. Just serve him food when you wake up, so that you can have a good meeting and hide." I said and stretched. I looked at this man lying on the sofa for a moment, before I walked away.
"What!? Arlene what are you saying!?" Solenn, as she followed me up out of the house.
"I'll take care of your shop, too, Solenn, bye!" I said. I went out completely at their gate.
"ARLENE!!"
"Don't leave us HERE!"
I wasted no more time and hurried to the precinct. I need to find out their conclusion here. There may also be some left evidences there that they saw. It may be an illegal activity again, instigated by those we caught earlier.
"There you come, too!" I was shaken by the sight. I stared into his eyes. "Where were you?"
"What's the lead?"
"You're so great, can I punch you? " he nodded and turned to face those with us. "As we talked. The materials that make up that spacecraft may not be the same as what we have. We have already given the forensics what we got, as well as the gold necklace that was recovered, I took a picture of it. The investigation is already underway there, all jewelry shops are well-contacted. Because the person who bought the necklace may have records there- "
"Wait" he frowned at me.
Perhaps in his mind my behavior was rude again.
"Sir Evans, did you get anything else in the spacecraft? Are there ball -shaped with colors and brands or symbols?"
"No, why did you see anything? Because we left a team there to go around." I nodded. "Did you notice anything?" I took a deep breath before speaking.
"Do you think, this is related to our past case? I have something, but it's peculiarity is far away from our imaginations, or even technologies. I think, only those stupid people who are children of auctions and addicted to biddings are have."
"Why do you and I seem nervous about what you're saying, Arlene. We've exhausted them, there are no more traces, you even said that." I didn't answer and just stared at him. "Oh, c'mon. Don't tell me you're going to squeeze those? Get organized Arlene, you're going to dig?" I sat up and sighed.
"I'm sorry, I was just thinking, but it seems impossible." the meeting about the case took a long time.
Each gave an idea and opinion. We also don't have anything to offer that can really help because it's just an investigation. I also couldn’t tell them what I saw in their Larmine house. I’ll make sure of one thing first before I turn it over. In the middle of the meeting, my phone suddenly rang so I said goodbye and I would answer first. I walked away from my colleagues.
"Oh, why? What it is for?"
["Arlene huhu, come back here, we don't understand each other. It's so scary!" ]
"What? D-did he do something to you?" I was nervous at the tone of Larmine's speech. Only now do I realize my stupidity. I shouldn’t have left them because first, that man, second we didn’t know, and third, that man was probably dangerous because of the way we saw him.
["He keeps on talking about his members and his necklace, I don't know! We don't have anything to say because we're scared. A-and he's like a mad man"]
"Wait I don't understand you"
["He's like an idiot who loves hotdogs and bacon! Just come here please, it's hard for Solenn to talk about that"] I winced.
I haven't even finished my duty here, I'll be back there again. I will be scolded too much for this. But I can't just let my friends be with the crazy person, I might know what else will happen to them. Eventually I decided to just go back. I didn’t say first about what we saw. I'll keep it temporarily until when I can confirm whether my suspicion is right or wrong. It is not possible to have such technology here. There is too much that people know to do. More than that, they do it only for their own pleasure, not for the good of others. Many innocent people were affected because of that experiment, nothing was missed, because even animals were used by them. So I get mad at people like them.
