Heated arguments

NARRATIVE
Amelia Mills stared at the exquisite building before her. She had come all the way to JP's Enterprise with the excuse of seeing her friend, Susan. Susan works in the research department of the company as a junior staff.
As a reporter, Amelia couldn't suppress her urge of digging into juicy details. Her reporter instinct wouldn't let her be as she felt there's something fishy about the Grey's family. Amelia wanted to find out first before any other reporter, what it was that the Grey's family was keeping secret from the general public. It was her duty as a reporter, to find out what it's all about_so she thought.
"Amelia," She turned around and was surprised to see Logan walking up to her. Logan is a friend, whom she's aware, have feelings for her but she didn't see it as much, considering the duties she had laying ahead of her.
"It's really you." Logan said smilingly, on reaching her side.
"Hey," she smiled. "What are you doing here? You work here?" She asked and Logan smiled shyly.
"No. Actually, I'm here to see my good friend, Ashton Grey." He said and a thought flashed through Amelia's mind. She didn't know he was friends with the only son of JP's Enterprise. But then again, there's a lot she doesn't know about him.
"I see. That's pretty cool." She smiled as she began walking with him, towards the entrance of the company's building.
"How about you?" Logan asked, quite interested in her visit to the company as he's never seen her here before.
"Well, I'm here to see my friend too, she works in the research department of the company." Amelia said, just as the duo walked through the glass entrance doors of the company.
"Wow! What an interesting coincidence." He said, glancing sideways at her and she smiled.
"I agree."
"I want to assume you don't know the way around here. It's your first time, isn't it?"
"Nah, this is my second. I was here during the press conference." She said.
"Oh,"
"But I wouldn't mind you showing me around. You're right about me not knowing the way around here." She added and Logan chuckled.
"I'll be glad to."
ASHTON'S POV
I walked into the general office on the fiftieth floor to check if I might find Scarlett here since she wasn't in her office.
Just as I expected, she was inside and surprisingly engaged in a chitchat with several of the employees as they all gathered around her, smiling and laughing at whatever she said.
I stood there at the door, not walking in as I watch the scene. Truly, she is alluring and would pull crowd to her side wherever she was without even trying.
I was almost getting lost in the hypnotizing trance my sister's aura was creating for me, when I heard her call my name.
"Hey Ash," she called, pure excitement lacing her voice. I smiled, nodding slightly that I'm ready to take her around the company. Understanding my gesture, she walked over to me in her dazzling white business suit, Tom-Ford chain-link detailed sandal stiletto, dark sunglasses hanging on her white inner vest and black hair in a french twist updo.
"You're free now, huh?" She asked on reaching my side.
"Sure. Let's go." I said.
______
While Ashton showed his elder sister around their father's company, Imogen was busy at home, searching the web for a possible direct email address belonging to the young chairman of the Song and Kwan Group; Chairman Kyle.
Minutes passed by and she was still there, only now, she was completely irritated as she wasn't getting what she wanted.
"Imogen, you're the 'supposed' sales manager of the company, why are you at home?"
She raised her eyes from her laptop and glanced lazily at the door only to find her mother standing there, arms akimbo, watching her.
"You know, I'd rather be somewhere else than be where 'that' girl is. I don't wanna breathe same air with her."
"You're being rude and unnecessarily childish. Do you understand what this silly stunt you're pulling would cost you later on?!" Imogen frowned, she didn't like that her mother was yelling at her. She rarely does that. But now, she was and because of an unacceptable sister?!
"You don't have to yell at me mother! Do you think it's easy to just accept another sibling from a different woman? This isn't my fault so you don't expect that I would just jump into her arms because 'yayy' she's my elder sister!" She yelled back, standing up. Her last sentence obviously from sarcasm. Harriet sighed and pushed her hands through her brunette hair in frustration.
"That's the more reason you shouldn't give your father any reason to push you further away. Look at Ashton, despite everything he's still pushing on. We're all affected by this, it doesn't have to be only about you!"
"No Mum. No! I won't have you compare me with Ashton or anyone else. I'm me! I'm me, okay?!" She yelled, throwing her hands in the air. Obviously, it wasn't just her Mum she was pissed at. The fact that she couldn't find KK's private email anywhere on Google was the more reason she was frustrated but since there wasn't anyone else to pour her grievances on, her mother fell victim_as she had to come at such 'perfect' timing.
"Imogen, you won't get the man you want just by sitting there and typing silly on google. If that's how I did mine, you wouldn't be born." Harriet said, her voice lower this time.
"Oh, I see now, why we have such perfect lives." Imogen didn't know when the words slip out of mouth. She raised her eyes to her mother's and saw how greatly she'd hurt her with just that sentence. Unable to look into her mother's pained and shocked looking eyes, she looked away and swallowed.
"I'm sorry Mum. That wasn't intentional." She soberly tried to apologize.
Harriet turned her back to her daughter. The pain her own daughter's words was causing her just now, is far greater than the insults she's gotten since the time of Paige's death.
"Mum..." Imogen tried to get closer to her but she stopped her with her words.
"Get ready to leave for work. I won't tolerate such attitude from you, ever again." She said before walking out of her daughter's room and from the tune of her mother's words, Imogen knew she meant business.
______
"Boss, I think we can just send in an acceptance email to their company. You don't have to go there yourself. If you want to notify them via physical meeting, you can send me or at the least, Sam." Kim Min Ha tried to protest but the young chairman wasn't listening.
"Don't worry about me, Min Ha. I'm fine. I have my reasons for doing this." Kyle said as he walked towards the black Mercedes Benz in his parking lot. Of late, he decided to stay in the villa instead of going back to the hotel. His guards bowed and hurriedly open the car door for him to step him.
Moments after he was already settled in, Kyle gave a slight nod to his stunned looking PA. All through the five years she's worked as his PA, Kim Min-Ha had never seen her boss done something so unnecessary as this.
Her mind went back to the what she thought she heard him say while watching the press conference held by JP's Enterprise few days ago.
*I think I like this girl*
Was that why he's doing such an unbelievable thing?
No! That's not possible. She knew her boss to be extremely strict when it involves women. But she_much surprisingly, didn't know more than that, considering how long she's worked for him.
"I'll be back soon." He said.
"Yes, Boss." She bowed slightly.
