NARRATIVE
Logan walked Amelia up all through to the floor where her friend's office was located, feeling great that he was finally having a decent conversation with her and there wasn't any interruption whatsover by killjoys like Tristan Millan, as he easily answered her questions and occasionally asking his which she answered willingly.
Just as they made their way through the hallway, they came face to face with Ashton and Scarlett.
"Logan, you're here. I didn't know you'll be coming over." Ashton said the moment he saw his friend.
Logan who was just meeting Scarlett for the first time, couldn't hide his surprise as to how charmingly gorgeous she was.
"Yeah, I didn't. I decided to stroll by your side since Rhys and Dexter went on a supposed cruising trip today. Won't you introduce me to your really pretty elder sister?" Logan said with a chuckle and Ashton cleared his throat.
"Scarlett," he said turning to her and she smiled brightly and curiously at him. Her action would make one think he was the older sibling and she was his really cute little sister, given Ashton's great height and his muscular built. "This is Logan, the one friend who knows how to torment me awesomely." He sarcastically introduced and Scarlett chuckled softly, a really musical chuckle that had Logan's ears flushing pink from shyness and embarrassment for a brief moment. "Hey blockhead, meet my elder sister and puh-lease," he stressed. "Stop drooling over her already before I remove your eyes, I know she's gorgeous as a fairy." Ashton said and Scarlett smiled, amazed at his warmth while Logan's cheeks flushed even more from embarrassment. He began to shift from one foot to the other while the others watch him in disbelief. Scarlett wanted badly to laugh out loud but for his sake, she was being considerate. Oh how she misses Skylar.
Was he blushing just now? She couldn't believe her eyes, especially because he had company.
Amelia looked slightly flustered as she watched Logan beside her. What a really funny weirdo. Her attention wasn't centered on him majorly as she looked back at Scarlett and found her staring piercingly at her. It was so sudden she briefly shuddered and Scarlett smiled at her.
"Ain't you the really curious reporter from the press conference?" She asked and Amelia nodded acknowledgment. "We meet again, Ms. Mills." She said.
Her voice seem to snap Logan back to the present and when he raised his gaze, he found Ashton's warning glare on him.
"Calm down dude. It was only a momentarily something, you know how greatly I'm serious about Amelia." He communicated with his eyes to Ashton who smiled warmly at him. He was surprised himself, over the sudden feeling of protection towards his elder stepsister. He glanced at her in a momentarily confusion and then shrugged it off.
"Yes indeed. I'm here to see a friend. Miss Grey, it's a pleasure to meet you today. But I'm sorry as I have to hurry off now." Amelia said.
"Oh sure, see you around some other time." She said and Amelia glanced sideways at Logan.
"See you." She said before walking off. Logan sighed worriedly as he watched her retreating figure. Did he ruin things?
"Ashton since you have company, I wouldn't want to interrupt your discussion. I can go ahead on my own now." Scarlett said and Ashton worried immediately.
"Are you sure?" He asked and she chuckled.
"Come on now, not like I'm gonna get lost in here anyway. If I do, I have you to come find me, right?" She joked. Ashton smiled and nodded.
"Certainly." He said.
"Hey Logan, I'll see you around some other time."
"Yes, thank you." He smiled at her and they both watch her walk on before Ashton covered Logan's eyes and pulled him away playfully.

"How was the relationship between them?" Jamie Grey asked his PA and Finley gladly informed him of his findings. They were in the Chairman's office.
"They seem to get along more than we had expected, Sir Chairman." He said and Jamie Grey smiled proudly.
Ashton was his blood indeed.
"Awesome! You can proceed on the other issue I told you about."
"Yes, Sir Chairman." Finley bowed slightly and exited the office, leaving the chairman to his thoughts as he gently stroke his beards.
"Paige dearie, what do I do now?" He muttered to himself.

About an hour later, Ashton was alone in his office thinking about the events of the last one hour with his stepsister wondering how he was easily letting down his guard around her. Could he trust her?
He was in much thoughts and had instructed his secretary not to let anyone in except his family as he didn't want to be disturbed. But much to his consternation, his office door opened and none other than Cora, walked in, dressed seductively and heavily made up. The scent of her fragrance was too strong for his nostril and he instantly felt a rise of nostalgia within him.
"Hey Ashy," she began with her weirdly made up nickname for him.
"Cora, what are you doing here? Didn't my secretary tell you no one's allowed in? How are you here?" He queried immediately.
"I see you're in a bad mood. Who ruined your mood sweetie? Don't worry, I'll cheer you up." She flashed her seductive smile which was rather ugly to Ashton, dropping her bag on his table and trying to touch his body. Ashton wasn't stupid, he knew what she was up to. However, she didn't know that each time she tries to seduce him, she ended up making him detest her more.
"No. I was actually in a great mood until you showed up. Now can you please leave while I'm asking kindly? Or would you rather have security throw you out?!" He yelled and Cora pouted as though she'd cry.
"I did nothing to offend you Ashy, why are you so mean to me when my offense was just in loving you?" Cora said as her eyes pooled. But Ashton wasn't moved. He would rather she was out of his sight at the moment.
"Look in the mirror Cora. Don't you see you're a beautiful girl? Why won't you just act with reason and stop belittling yourself?! You know quite well that I don't love you! I've made this clear so many times so why can't you just grow up? That kiss we shared as teenagers then was due to a dare, you can't build up feelings from that incident and try to force them on me Cora! I won't accept it! You of all people, know that very well. Move on and stop wasting your time around me because I'll never have any romantic feelings for you! I'll never love you so stop this! The more you try to seduce me, the more nostalgic I get around you. Also, your body spray is too strong for my nose to bear. Kindly scram, dear. I won't nicely repeat myself again!" He said and stood up, walking to his office door and opening it for her to leave.
All through his words, Cora had tears running down her cheeks but Ashton wasn't bothered. He knew he had been too lenient with her in the past that's why things got more complicated to this. He won't accept such attitude from anyone again...
"Even though you reject me a million times, I'll always come back. I'll leave now but I can't promise to stay out of your life Ashy, see you soon." She wiped her eyes, picked up her purse and walked out of his office.
Ashton walked back to his chair wondering if someone had cursed his life at his birth.

Scarlett had just ended a video call with her foster Mom and was engaged in another with Skylar as she told her about all that's happened so far on her first day at the company, while she lazily stride back along the hallway to her office. She had an airpod on as they talked.
Just few distance away from her office door, Skylar said something that made her pause.
"Look at that! Oh My freaking Gosh! Is that who I think it is? Sugar, you didn't tell me about this?"
"Come on, Sky. What you talking about?"
"At your back,"
"Huh?"
"I said at your back, I see a freaking gorgeous man staring at you." Skylar announced gushingly to a confused Scarlett. She had to turn around and the moment she did, her phone fell from her hand to the floor out of shock while her heart began pounding furiously, against her chest.
"Pick up the damn phone girl! I wanna see him too." She heard Skylar's excited shouting from the airpod in her ear.
"It's you?!" She managed to say.
