NARRATIVE
Imogen stepped out of the car in a sour mood as she walked towards the entrance of the company in the company of her guards. She easily passed through the glass doors and as she walked along the vast area of the first floor, several employees greeted her respectfully. She paused when she overheard the conversations of two young interns walking past.
"KK is freaking here. I can't believe this. I got to see him when he walked in with several guards and headed for the elevator. Girl, the sight of him is ethereal. I've never seen anyone so dreamy before."
"Come on don't say that. You mean there's someone who's more handsome than young Mr Grey? I don't wanna believe that."
"You think I'm lying, wait till I show you that I'm not. Just now, I heard him asking the receptionist about the floor number where the CEO's office is located. Let's go check there."
They gushed as they walked on.
Imogen's sad mood flew away with the air Instantly and her eyes lit up as she increased her step, trying hard not to run, towards the elevator.

KYLE'S POV
I watch her reaction in amusement as her phone dropped from her hands. Seems like the person she was on the call with had notified her of my presence behind her. The moment she turned around to face me, I held in my breath as I took in her facial features from up close. This lady was extraordinarily beautiful but the aura I sensed from watching her on TV during the press conference, was a little bit suppressed. She didn't look as dangerously gorgeous as she was that day of her mom's memorial. Instead, she looked incredibly cute with her silver-gray eyes, widened and her red plump lips parted slightly in shock of seeing me.
Why was she so startled by the way? Did my looks sway her off her feet too?
No the question should be, what am I doing here instead of at the Chairman's office or at least, his son's?
The moment I arrived at the company, I asked around for the CEO's office because I felt it in me she'll be there. On reaching here, I didn't see anyone so I leaned by the wall, close to the entrance door and decided to wait a while. Moments later, I saw her walk up clearly engrossed in a video conversation with someone as she walked by absentmindedly to the door of her office, not seeing me leaning close by and watching her.
"It's you?!" She said in shock as though she'd met me before. Has she? To me this was the first time I'm meeting her.
I leaned away from the wall with my hands still in my pants pocket and took two steps closer to her.
"It's you?" I repeated with furrowed brows. "Have we met before? You know me?"
"Yes...No...yes, I mean no." She stuttered and blinked her long lashes severally before letting out a soft sigh, almost like a purr. "I'm sorry, I was just startled to see someone here so suddenly. Also, when I said 'it's you?', what I meant was that I've heard about you and your company from people around. You're quite famous you know." She smiled politely. But her polite smile was so dazzling I had to blink my lashes severally to knock me out of the momentary trance I had found myself in. What happens when she smiles fully then? I'd probably lose my mind.
"Oh, I see." I managed to say.
"Yes." She bent to retrieve her phone while I kept my eyes on her. She had a really beautiful, slender body and a tall frame.
"I'm sorry about your phone." I said and she smiled warmly, standing upright again.
"You don't have to be. It was my mistake. What are you doing here by the way? If you're here for business, shouldn't you be at the chairman's office?" She asked and my brain immediately formulated a lie for me to say. I didn't need to think much as it came easily.
"On my way to his office, I lost my way and luckily came upon this place. I decided to wait here for anyone that would show up, to direct me." I said.
Although my excuse might sound really suspicious, my guards weren't around me at the moment since I had sent them away earlier on. She looked like she believed me since she nodded her head understandingly.
"I see. If you'll come with me now, I'll escort you to his office." She said and I offered her a polite smile.
"That would be very much appreciated, thank you and sorry for the trouble." I said as gentlemanly as never before. Even I was shocked at myself.
What's this? I've never been this way with any woman that's not family. Is it her compelling aura or is something really wrong with me?
I don't know about the answers to those questions. What mattered more at this moment, was that I was walking side by side with the most intriguing woman I ever met.

Imogen had just arrived at the floor she heard the young chairman was in only to see a sight that hurt her eyes so much it made them sore.
She was red in the face from envy and hate, when she saw that her unwanted elder stepsister, was in the company of the handsome chairman and was walking side by side with him towards the private elevator leading to their father's office at the top floor.
Scarlett had unknowingly beaten her to the game and this was something Imogen would never tolerate.
She'd found just more reason, to hate her elder stepsister more.

Harriet was at the family's manor, going through Scarlett's things again.
After a while of searching and not finding anything, she made to walk out of the room in her disappointment, when she suddenly felt like was being choked. Her hands flew to her neck instantly as her eyes bulge out in horror while she struggled desperately for air and for freedom, from the invisible force choking her.
As she battled for life, she soon collapsed to the floor while her legs kicked against it and her body coiled up in a mess as she tried to get freedom. She wasn't able to utter a sound but she knew this time, that her strange illness was acting up again in a manner and pattern it never did before.
How was she to gain her freedom from this unseen forces?
Harriet knew however, she couldn't sit back and do nothing this time around. Come what may, she must fight against all odds to win once again and once and for all...
