His Love

Chapter 38: His Love
"Seemed like rain is about to pour." Fred spoke while his right hand rested on his waist. He glanced at the sky and back to the fountain in front of them.
"Yeah," Fera answered while they both stared at the huge fountain in the middle of the park. Stunning gracefully with aggressive waters and uniform splash in it.
"How are you?" he took a glance at her.
"Living like a human," she muttered, it sounded soft and calm perfectly mirrored the atmosphere. It wasn't sunny, clouds had blanket the sky.
"When will you coming back?"
"Not now, please."
"You had delayed everything enough." Fred spoke then she turned her head to Fred and looked at him in pleading eyes.
"Please, you can take care all of them for me, right?" Fred never witnessed her pleading like that before, she was always strong and a fighter.
"I can but that is not the case, this was neither my lost nor advantage." She looked down and grip the chain of her swing.
"I know, I just can't."
"How long will you hide in that facade?" She slowly turned to him with reddish nose.
"Probably forever."
"Remove that facade and move on for real, unveil all of them and accept it no matter how hard it is." A weak smile escape from her lips as she turned to the fountain again.
"I am ugly behind this facade, I'm happy now."
"Fake happiness, never last long. Remove that facade or faith will smash it for you. You are not ugly, you are precious, you know that."
"Precious daughter of Ferdinand Fuentes and Raina Fuentes? The only daughter of a perfect family? You must be kidding, Fred. You know me better than those newspapers." And let out some low chuckle but those words truly tighten her chest. The most painful sarcasm she ever said.
"You can never run away from who you really are for any longer. Do it now before it's too late." But she shook her head and her lips formed into half smile.
"I am fine now, I cannot afford to lose this peace."
"So, what's your plan, keep everything from that man? Hide every trace of your real identity from those people around you. Being fake every now and then. Live with fear that someone might find out who you are?
You are better than that, Fera!" And tears started to escape from her tight restrain. While tiny drops of rain had been released from the clouds.
"There is no way to hide from reality! You totally forgot how to be a Fuentes, don't you?"
"I am not a Fuentes." Her voice had shaken and raspy.
"Then who, Luzares? Fera Luzares never existed in reality. It was a painting that you painted and presented to the crowd as you. You've been hiding from the shade of reality, Fairly. This is not good anymore." She only answered with silent cries. Holding the sound of her cries and gasping for air. While the water of misery had poured hard, the droplets of rain, her friend that comforts her every time.
"I must go now." He turned his back without looking back, he headed straight to his SUV and drove away.
Fera was left alone, soak with cold water as how saddnes soak her. The she heard a foot step, and never dare to look at it.
"The last time you were soak with rain, you had a high fever." She cried harder as she heard his voice.
As she looked up to him, he was smiling warmly and offered his hand. She stared his hand for a few second and eventually accepted it. He placed a soft kiss on it and help her stand. /But it was the best memory we ever shared./
"Look at my eyes." He whispered, her nervousness deafen her sadness. As she look at his eyes, recognition lit on her eyes. Those were the eyes that never judge her.
"You deserve every fallen leaves of a peaceful summer, not every snow flakes of a lonely winter. Not even every drop of misery when it's raining." And he kissed her forehead. Fera closed her eyes and felt the cold lips against her forehead.
"You deserve the sunrise for new and better version of beginning not the sunset that was a painful ending." Then he kissed her on the tip of her nose.
"You deserve a coffee that was perfectly blend by milk and mixed with tender love. Not the strange bitter taste of tea." Held her chin and he planted a sweet and soft kiss on her lips. As she closed her eyes, the sound of harsh drops of rain was replaced by the deafening beats of her heart.
She opened her eyes as she felt their lips torn apart. He cary her like a baby and she snake her arms around his neck then rested her head on his shoulder.
"When I met you, you were the Queen of the Queendom of sorrow. My love, I will be a willing abductor and abduct you away from your Queendom. " She sniffed and hugged him tighter.
"You were the moon in a sorrowful night, I will be a persistent astronaut, that would continuously fly to you and stay where you are." Her skin had ignored the cold drops and focus on his warmth.
"You were that most ignored painting owing that you holds deeper meaning than their capacity. And I will be your greatest admirer that will appreciate your beauty, believe in what you show and trust every detail of your misconcepted quality." Then he started swaying slowly as if he was making a baby sleep.
"You deserve the whole world my Queen. I am here now. You will never shed a tear alone." She closed her eyes and bury her face in his neck.
"What I have done to deserve you, Nick?" She murmured at felt that he started walking.
"I was just meant to be your king. And I am willing to wait 'till you love me back."
"I love you, " and they stopped.
"Come again?"
"I love you Nick Kingston Hernandez." She mumbled and she faced him. She gave him a kiss that he never expected.
'I cannot lose you, please stay here with me forever, ' she mentally prayed.
