I returned to my room, washed up, and stayed in the bathtub for an hour, staring at the wall blankly. What Alpha Magnus said to me shook me to the core. Millions of thoughts are running wild.

I could kill him so I don’t have any mate left, but I know someone who had gone nuts from killing her mate accidentally. Tamara.. which is one of my subordinates, is the prime example of this..... Remembering her now, I plan on visiting her.
As I got up from the water and dressed up, I went to eat dinner with my pack at the dining hall.
I saw Tamara’s parents, Nameera and Fernando, the omega couple. I took the last decade with Tamara. And those two are the only werewolves that I saw who have true love. They are 450 years old and yet they are still together and mated as if it was just yesterday they got together.
I smiled at them, “Hello love birds, Where’s your daughter?”
Their eyes widened, “Oh, I haven’t seen her.” Fernando said hurriedly,
“Fernando! I asked you to monitor your daughter!” Nameera scolded him, “It’s going to be a full moon later.”
I gasped and instantly ran outside. I could sense her scent is not that far from here.
Well, the problem here is that Tamara had accidentally killed her mate and whenever she sees the full moon, she gets triggered and rampages on.
I had taken the task to calm her down whenever this happens as the leader of the pack. Going to the scent of her direction, my wolf instantly went on alert.
‘I am picking her scent up. But some filthy smell is with her’
Said my wolf. I instantly ran to the deep wood and let my nose take me where her scent is.
Just then, I saw Tamara who transformed into her wolf form with brown fur. She was walking deeper and deeper into the woods…like leaving our territory.
“Tamara!” I yelled, gaining her attention.
She looked at me, “Stay away from me, Alpha Kamilah.”
So she’s still in her senses. I looked up at the sky as the moon was slowly creeping up into a full moon. The last time this happened, she had almost killed Almiro, my Delta.
“Calm down, let me help you.”
I mind-linked Louisa and Almiro to come back to me as my wolf sensed something was wrong.
“No, I’ll be leaving for a while to stop myself from killing all of you!” She growled and I breathed deeply.
“Tamara, you are better than this. You are strong, do not let yourself be dragged into the darkness.” I tried to coach her. She’s still glaring at me, growling at me.
Just then I picked up some other scent.
Tamara was going to run away when a very dark-furred wolf came at her and bit her neck.
“Tamara!” I yelled as I saw her struggling. I transformed, feeling my bones stretching and breaking, my teeth turning canines, my skin as white fur, my stature getting bigger and my mouth turning into a wolf muzzle.
I pushed the wolf that attacked Tamara and stood beside her defensively.
I sniffed the air and spat at the grounds, growling at the werewolf that attacked Tamara. They instantly grew fast in number and I could count there were 10 of them surrounding me.
“Rogues.” I snapped at them.
The wind blew as we glared at each other, their leader stood in front with his dark raven fur. “Alpha Kamilah.”
I took a step forward, not scared of them. I know I could easily take them out, but Tamara behind me is whimpering and I have to be careful. “Who the hell are you?”
“I’m William.” Their leader responded, his tone menacing and cold. “Consider this a warning Kamilah. We’re coming after you.”
I scoffed, “Bring it on. You rogues are no match for me.”
In an instant, the rogues lunged at me and tried to bite me down. I fought them alone and bit their skins that sink into their bones. I managed to bring down five but they jumped on me again before I could catch my breath, and the leader, William had a bit on Tamara’s head behind me. I pushed him off while stopping the other 4 but William had kept up with my pace.
With one bite, he had bit down Tamara’s head, beheading her in an instant. I howled.
“Is this a warning enough for you?” He asked as he held Tamara’s wolf head.
I gritted my teeth, “I won’t ever forgive you! I’ll hunt you down, you dickheads!”
I instantly chewed on his legs and made him stumble on the hard rock. He bit off my legs but I kicked him off and I grabbed his head.
I could smell some strange substance inside them as if they took something to make them this strong that they almost keep up with me. Rogues are not typically this strong that they make me defenseless. And they don’t usually attack without a reason.
The four other wolves were helping him, and I roared as I grabbed his head and bit his neck, beheading him.
I glared at the four wolves behind who watched the scene, whimpering.
I threw the head of their leader on their way and said, “Tell this to the one behind this to fuck off. You can’t just bring me down like that.”
They nodded and grabbed their leader’s heads and ran away from me.
I let them escape, soon they’ll be dead anyway. I heard the sound of the twigs and saw Almiro and Louisa.
“You two are late for the party,” I said, panting and catching my breath. I rubbed my white fur, feeling a bit drained, and transformed back to my human form. I felt the cold wind brush my skin as I lay down on the ground without any clothes on.
Louisa gasped in shock seeing Tamara’s headless body and immediately went to her.
Almiro came to me to give me a black cloak to cover my naked body, he has been with me through the years so he got used to seeing my naked body. Plus, we werewolves don’t feel any shame when we do this. It’s completely normal.
“I apologize. We had driven out two rogues who attacked our packhouse.”
I snorted, “So they sent two decoys for you not to help me. They led me here and killed Tamara, saying they’ll have a war with me.”
Almiro frowned, looking at the scene that was filled with the rogue’s blood. “They smell like Alpha Magnus's pack, are they his past subordinates?”
“Why would his past subordinates turn rogue just to attack our Alpha?” Asked Louisa.
I was silent, gritting my teeth. What business do these rogues sith me to wage war on me, it's obvious they have someone conspiring with them. Louisa and Almiro don’t know that Alpha Magnus is my mate…and I plan to keep it that way.
I glanced at Tamara’s body with a sigh, “Send Tamara’s body to the pack doctor. I have to think about how to say this news to Nameera and Fernando about their daughter.”
Almiro came to my side to comfort me, “You did your best to help her.”
“Are you going to see Alpha Magnus?” Asked Louisa and I shook my head.
“No. I’ll investigate more,” I said. Almiro looked at me deeply and I motioned for him to go.
“Go with Louisa, I’ll be fine.”
He looked at my left shoulder, “But you’re wounded.”
“I’ll heal soon. Just go and protect my pack for me.” Sighing, he threw one last look before leaving, grabbing Tamara’s body and running in the direction of our packhouse.
Turning to where the four wolves left, I sniffed where they were headed and quickly ran in their direction.
I continued running for fifteen minutes, away from our pack and near the borders. I stopped, noticing that the rogue’s scent stopped.
‘Someone is there’
Warned my wolf and the trees rustled.
“I can help you.” I heard someone say from the darkness. “I know where they headed.”
I turned to the man behind the tree and asked, “Who are you?”
He went down from the tree. I could clearly see now as he stood 6’1 feet tall with long limbs and a lean body with curly black hair and seductive red eyes. He looked around 20 years old with flawless white skin, but I could sense he was one of us supernaturals, a vampire.
He looked at my wounds before quickly placing his mouth on my left shoulder and licking the blood that escaped from it.
I gasped and pushed him away, realizing the man just licked me. I’m suddenly reminded of another man. Damn.
It’s Gusev. He still looks exactly the same. Never growing old despite the time that passed by.
“Kamilah, I missed your blood. It really is too sweet for a werewolf. I normally vomit but yours is…savory…” He commented, licking his lips and savoring the taste.
I glared and growled at him, and he chuckled sheepishly.
“Oh, forgive me. Did you miss me?”
I looked at him, standing on guard. “No.”
He pouted, “Come on, Alpha queen…”
“What? Why do you call me that?” I snapped, a bit riled up from the little nickname he gave me.
“What? It's true, you have been famous for years you know so I decided to visit you again. You know I truly left you that day in the hotel and watched you grow your own pack.”
He gulped and glanced at my shoulder, sniffing it, “I smelled some strange substance in your left shoulder.”
Oh, it seems it was not only me who noticed it. He scrunched his nose as if remembering something. “I know those things. They are werewolf steroids.”
“Werewolf steroids?” I repeated. I had heard of those and never encountered someone before. Why do they suddenly appear? Now? I could still feel rage from them killing Tamara right in front of me and I swear I’ll get revenge.
“I’ll take you to someone I know. He’s more knowledgeable than I am.” Urged Gusev, expecting me to follow him but I shook my head.
“No thank you. I won’t go with you.”
“Why?”
“I don’t trust you.” I simply replied and he pouted.
“Ouch. That hurts. Don’t you forget that I protected you? We were friends, right?” He said and sighed, “C’mon. I don’t bite. I mean I just licked some of yours…I could drink your blood all day by how tasty it is..”
I rolled my eyes, “Stop talking about my blood, mosquito.”
He gasped dramatically, not expecting me to call him a mosquito, and looked so hurt and speechless.
He cleared his throat, “Wow, you really have grown so fierce now, Kamilah. You just called me a mosquito? How could you! Then you're a dog!”
I scoffed, not feeling offended at all. He whimpered sadly.
“Fine, I offered to help you, don’t take it the wrong way!”
I gritted my teeth, “Wait! Direct me to that person.”
At this, he instantly smirked and stood beside me and pointed at the right, “Then, this way, please.”
