I, Alpha Kamilah, had always known that she looks beautiful in the eyes of men, but Alpha Magnus just destroys it.
 
“Hmm, not good.” He commented, sitting by the cushion and waiting for me to come out every time I showed myself to him with another dress. I was wearing the black dress he wanted me to wear. Although it was against my will, I still did as he told me but he rejects everything, saying it was too flashy, too short, and too ridiculous. Tired of his request, I glared at him, returning to the fitting room to change into another dress. 
 
He said it will be a busy day. As much as I had taken advantage and picked anything I wanted, it’s now his turn to be picky. I mean, it’s free….who wouldn’t say no to free things right? I am an exception to this. I love free things,  but I didn’t know that I had to please him and fit all the bulk of clothes he points at.

We have been here in a particular store for an hour now. I’m very tired of having to fit the remaining hundred clothes. I had always loved shopping for clothes and making myself look pretty, but now, I think that I have to reconsider it. 
 
Being a woman is hard. I really salute all the girls who wake up every day, going through the same cycle of making themselves pretty. That takes a lot of skill and patience. I know that I am naturally pretty, so I didn’t have to work hard that much, no offense to some people. 
 
Trying on the purple dress, I walked outside the fitting room to show him if it was up to his standard once again. “What now? Is this good enough for you?”
 
 “Hmmm, you know that human stuff called Barney? You look like him.” He chuckled, making fun of me. 
 
I looked at him dead in the face, with no emotion, tired of this. 
 
He instantly sensed it and cleared his throat, “You know? The purple dinosaur who always sings “I love you, you love me?” 
 
When I didn’t reply to him, he scoffed.  “Gosh, you’re no fun.”
 
Of course, I know the “barney” that he is referring to, but I don't find anything hilarious at the moment. Just a little push and I’ll explode.

I crossed my arms in front of me as I shook my head at him, “If you just want to make fun of me, then it’s best that I leave.” 
 
He smirked at her, “I just wanted to see you laugh, baby.  You were glaring at me the moment we stepped into this mall.” He said, then tilted my head to meet his dark orbs, “I thought women love clothes and looking glamorous?”
 
I snorted at him, “Great observation, but you need to work harder than that to get me, Alpha Magnus, ” I retorted, still wearing the purple dress.

His dark orbs flashed red for a second until he shrugged, shrugged, clapping his hands, and stood up.  “Anyways, I’m getting bored now. Let’s wrap this all up.” He announced and said some instructions to the staff employee who got all the clothes I tried and put them in the cashier. 
 
Magnus gazed at me up and down, “You don’t need to change. That dress suits you. Well, you look delicious in everything you wear.” 
 
I rolled my eyes, squirming at his gaze but felt my heartbeat quickening. I gritted my teeth, not wanting him to have this effect on me. 
 
Stupid me, don’t get easily swayed by his words. Those are deadly along with his lips. 
 
“Let’s leave now, babe.” He said as soon as the clothes were packed and he carried everything. Despite all the bags, he still managed to grab my hand and I flinched at the word babe. 
 
“Eww, don’t call me that.” 
 
“Why? I know you love hearing me calling you that.” He responded. “C’mon, let’s leave.” 
 
“Oh, we’re leaving now? Good.” I sighed in relief. I swear, if I were to try on another set of clothes, I can’t even imagine how I’ll explode in anger. 
 
Alpha Magnus then whistled at me, looking at me up and down and checking me out. “What’s the point of me buying you clothes when you’ll end up naked in my arms,” He commented, winking at me and being back to his flirty self. 
 
I instantly jabbed him in his sides and he groaned in pain. “This is for giving that comment.” Seeing his reaction, I smiled in satisfaction and went ahead of him. 
 
But Magnus’s legs were long so his strides were long too, easily catching up on me and walking to my side. 
 
He then continued blabbering as we walked out of the store like nothing just happened.  “Damn, Kamilah, you’re the only one who hit me like that. Others are scared enough.”

“Well, I’m not scared enough.” I daringly said and he leaned into me, his lips almost touching mine and making my heart race again.
 
“Is this not enough?” He asked teasingly and I pretended to smile, “Careful where your body lands, Magnus, I only gave in to your request now.” 
 
Alpha Magnus decided to give me some jewelry, a diamond necklace. 
 
“Congrats, love birds!” Said the staff employee, “You both look so good together.”
 
I raised my eyebrows at Magnus who was also confused like me. The staff employee stopped, realizing it. 
 
“Oh, forgive me! I thought you two were a couple, wanting to get married.”
 
Alpha Magnus’s smile stretched so wide and I scoffed at that. Eww, marry? Even if we were humans, I would never.
 
I lost the appetite for shopping after that and Magnus motioned me to leave the store. He then spotted an ice cream store and turned to me,  “Want some ice cream?” 
 
“What are you, a child?” I joked but seeing him pouting, I sighed. “Fine, whatever.”
 
He grinned at that and ordered for the both of us. “What flavor do you want?”
 
“Strawberry,” I answered my favorite flavor without a second thought. Alpha Magnus nodded and ordered,  “Then one mint chocolate and one vanilla for us.” 
“You like vanilla?” I can’t help but ask. 
He nodded, “Yes, smells and tastes like you…” 
I blinked, not sure if I heard him right…vanilla? so I smell like it? It is probably because of my body wash or perfume... 
Three of Alpha Magnus's men, who I’ve seen tailing us since earlier, came to him and whispered, “Alpha isn’t this dangerous? The enemies are-”
 
Dimitri appeared out of nowhere and stopped him by nudging him in the arm from beside him, “Shh, let our Alpha enjoy this.” 
 
Alpha Magnus just didn’t talk, giving him a glare and Alpha Magnus men just sighed and retreated. Magnus then left to grab the ice cream. 
 
Dimitri came to me as soon as I was left alone. “So how is your date doing?”
 
I shrugged, “Felt so tired.”
 
“Just hang in there. I’m even surprised you decided to partake in this…our Alpha surely is going to sleep happy now.”

I blinked, confused, “What?”
 
His eyes widened as if he said something he didn’t and cursed under his breath. “Oh nothing, he’s not even sleeping. Please don't tell him that I told you this but…He would always guard your territory every night and make sure you’re safe…recently, I don’t even see him in the office, working.”
 
“What? Why did you only say this now?” I felt a bit guilty, but it’s not my fault. Alpha Magnus would always be at my territory, I would even wake up seeing him sitting by my chair...
 
I didn’t know he would go to such lengths. 
 
I cleared my throat, “So you know about Alpha Magnus deal with my beta?”
 
He cocked his head to the side, his eyebrows creased, “What deal?”
 
I shook my head, deciding to keep it a secret as he might panic. Really, how could Alpha Magnus do this without consulting his beta? I wonder what Dimitri's reaction would be when he finds out that Alpha Magnus promised a date to Louisa with him…
 
“Oh, gotta go now. I’ll just get these stuff delivered to your house this instant.”  Dimitri said as he grabbed all the shopping bags we had and left. 
 
Alpha Magnus then returned with my requested ice cream in hand. He then passed my ice cream and together, we sat by one of the stalls and admired the view outside the mall. Silence passed and when we were finished eating. 
“You know, I heard the owner was a human who fell in love with a woman and instnalty named this store after her name, which is now his wife…” He said, “And I heard some rumors saying that whoever eats here ended up being together…that it became a dating place for some teenagers.” 
I scoffed at that information, “That’s just some marketing strategy for you to eat here.” 
“I’m quite acquainted wiht the owner as I met him in one of my business trip, I could try to ask hi that yself next time.” He said then paused a bit, “I never imagined you would let me do this today. Buy you clothes, and eat ice cream with me.”
 
I shrugged carelessly, licking on the ice cream, “As if I have a choice….”
 
Alpha Magnus's eyes trailed down on my lips and to my tongue as I licked the ice cream. 
 
“What are you thinking about?” I asked, trying to get his attention as he seemed to be in a trance now.

I nodded but decided not to repeat it, “Nevermind.”
 
He then dropped a keychain with some strange movie character.  “What is this?”
“Do you watch the series called harry potter?” He asked, and when still don’t get it, he explained, “You know, some fantasy that humans made about us supernaturals.” He then pointed at his little gift, “That character is named Remus Lupin, the werewolf there.”
I nodded my head, looking at the little human that transforms into a wolf keychain type. “And? What should I do with this?” I asked again. 
“I hope you’ll keep it.” He trailed off, his tone narrowing but then he cleared his throat, “Are you happy today? Did I somehow convince you that I’m serious?” 
 
I thought about it for a second before replying. “Hmmm, not sure. Today was pretty chill, but I got tired.”
 
His eyes lit up, having another idea, “Then want another date?” 
 
I raised my eyebrows, “What? I thought you'd stop after today.” 
 
He just smirked and hummed a tune mysteriously. Judging from the evil smirk he had, I’m sure he’s hatching another plan to make me say yes again.
Asking myself if I did had fun, I hate to admit it, but I…kind of enjoyed it.
