I raised my eyebrows, “Why? It was him to willingly do it.”

The next day, I woke up to Louisa’s panicked face greeting me. 
“What?” I snapped in frustration, pulling the blankets to me and hiding in the covers to sleep more but she pulled it. 
“Hide me.” She yelled in fear, and I groaned, sitting up as she went under my bed. What is it this time? It’s too early to disturb my beauty sleep. I wiped my face to remove any snot and drool in my sleep and yawned. 
Just then, I heard a knock on the door and Almiro’s voice followed, “Louisa? Dimitri looks for you.”
I cleared my throat and answered, “She’s…not feeling well. Why is he looking for her?”
I went under and asked Louisa, “Why is he looking for you?”
She shrugged, “I don’t even know!” She then scrunched her nose in disgust, “Eww, your bed needs some cleaning.”

I rolled my eyes, “Of course it does, it’s your fault for hiding there.” I said and sighed exasperatedly, “It probably is because of your ‘playing hard to get type.” 
Louisa cursed under his breath, “But I didn’t expect him to take action instantly? I didn’t get myself prepared!” 
“You started this mess, deal with it, Louisa,” I teased and forced her to get up. she bit her lip and mumbled to herself before bravely facing the door. 
“Where is he now, Almiro?” She asked when we saw Almiro standing there. 
“He left, he just wanted to leave something here,” Saying that, Almiro then handed Louisa the bouquet of purple lilies. 
Louisa blushed giddily, her smile so wide that it covered her whole face. She sniffed the flowers and shrieked in happiness, “Smells so good! I have to put it in my vase.”
As Louisa left to deal with her precious flowers, Almiro then came to me. “You too, Alpha. Alpha Magnus has been waiting in your office with a gift.”
I looked at the clock hanging on my wall, reading it’s still 7 in the morning. Too early for me. 
I sighed, “Is it that important?”
“It is.” Said Alpha Magnus’s voice from behind Almiro, his intimidating aura oozing in the room. 
“Good morning, Alpha Kamilah.” He greeted, taking in my morning look. I was still in my white silky pajamas, with my long-sleeved shirt and comfortable pants. On the other hand, he was wearing his typical white polo shirt that hug his biceps and his denim pants. He was wearing his usual black Rayban sunglasses. 
I huffed, hiding a bit in the door, “Morning,”
Almiro left us alone to give us some privacy and Alpha Magnus smirked, “I’ll wait for you in your study, I have things to talk to you about.”

I looked at my bed, my soft mattress, and my lovely pillows, wanting to get back to sleep but remembered Alpha Magnus won’t stop me until he got what he wanted. 
Taking a shower to my attached bathroom here in my room, I put on a lovely green maxi dress reaching my knee, and I matched it with my white suit and grabbed my Prada bag, spraying my Channel no.5 Perfume. 
I glanced at the mirror one last time, checking my appearance before going out and heading to my office. 
As soon as I entered my office, I saw Alpha Magnus opening the door for me and smiling. “Good morning again.”
I nodded, sitting at my chair and leaving my bag on the table before facing him, “So? What is that ‘thing’ you wanted to talk about?”
Just then, it took me a while to notice that we have another creature here with us. He smirked, motioning for it, “Before we talk, I have to give you this gift.”
I watched as the gift he was mentioning stood up and walked towards me, and softly snuggled its head on my thighs, as if already familiar with me.
It was a tiger. Its stripes up close were much visible and mostly huge in front of me…I could only see tigers around Africa and some zoos….but I never personally got to eye to eye with them..
My wolf instincts were on alert, and I had to calm it down. 
I look at Alpha Magnus, “A big cat?”
“Her name is Lumiere. We found her in the woods hiding from humans so we rescued her. I just couldn’t help but think of you while seeing her.” He started to explain. “I’ll give Lumiere to you so she can drive away certain vampires.”

I chuckled at his reason, “Gusev? You really hate your best friend around me.”
He nodded, “Of course, you just let him drink your blood willingly while here I am, having to earn your trust... I’m jealous.” 
I scoffed, Gusev must have really teased him about yesterday. My hands reached for the tiger in front of me and gently pet its head. 
“Lumiere…” I rolled her name on my tongue and the tiger instantly looked at me, cooing and pushing herself to me. I grabbed my stress ball from my desk and threw it to her to play with. 
I heard a phone clicking and I looked up to see Alpha Magnus’s phone flashing.
“You’re taking a picture?”
He shrugged, “Yes, I just couldn’t help but capture this moment with our child.” He replied and I snorted at the word child. 
“What? I consider her as our child from now on.” 
I would have felt a bit triggered by that but now, I am strangely I watched as Lumiere played with the stress ball, almost knocking down some of my vases and decorations. 
 “Why did you name her Lumiere?”
“It means light in french, Why? Do you want to change it?”
I shook my head, “No…it kind of fits her…” Silence fell as we just watched the new pet in my office play. I cleared my throat, suddenly remembering the reason why he came here, “So? What is that ‘thing’ you wanted to talk about?”
He leaned on my desk to meet my eyes, “You didn’t reply to my email yesterday.” 
“I don’t have to.” I said, “But since you’re here, I guess I’ll have to thank you.”

He sighed, withdrawing from me and standing tall now, leaning on the wall behind him, “You could ignore my message or delete it there. I want to text you or call you.”
