Chapter 39 Tri-blood legend

He didn’t have to tell me that, but the thought itself scares and angers me so much that my wolf inside wants to shapeshift. I waited until we reach the woods and in my territory before shapeshifting, and sniffing the air to have some news.
But all I could smell was a fire.
Just then, I could sense fear from my warriors.
I instantly ran in the direction of the fire as I kept my ears perked up and I focused my senses on my surroundings.
I lost sight of Alpha Magnus. He must have gone back to his pack to check too.
I lost sight of Alpha Magnus. He must have gone back to his pack to check too.
Seeing that the fire was on our chicken pen, I breathed a sigh of relief.
I saw Gusev and my other pack members as they throw buckets of water into the fire.
Gusev caught sight of me,  “Where were you?”
I ignored his question and look around, “How’s everyone?”
“Still intact. You
“Where’s Almiro and Louisa?”
“They left to secure the place as soon as they heard some Rogues howling nearby.” He explained quickly, “Thank goodness I came here in time and saw the fire. If not, your pack has been burned down.”
I sighed in relief, “Thank you, Gusev.”
He just nodded, “Anytime, I’ll always be here to help.”
We managed to put off the fire. Just then, my leader warrior Karleen showed up.
She saw me and instantly apologized. “I’m sorry, Alpha-“
“It’s alright. Things like this happen, we must prepare for worse to happen.” I said, interjecting her.
I started to explain to them. “This is no other than Druscilla’s doings, hating me so much that he’ll risk this. We actually saw his son Lukas earlier at the bar in town.”
His eyes widened, grasping the situation, “So it’s really starting.”
Just then, I looked to my right as a harsh wind came to blind me, and a filthy smell came. It was all too quickly as a shadow came and a pair of fangs suddenly bit my left arm. I gritted my teeth, pushing the object harshly as it fell to the ground.
I glared as I saw it was a creature with long hair, her eyes all red and veiny, and a dark aura was surrounding her.
I glared as I saw it was a creature with long hair, her eyes all red and veiny, and a dark aura was surrounding her.
Karleen instantly stood beside me and Gusev hid on my back, startled too.
“Do you know this creature?” I asked him and he shook his head.
“I’m famous to women but not this kind of…women..”  he attempted to joke and I mind linked Louisa and Almiro about the situation.
‘We’re tracking down every Rogue in the area. They’re surrounding us’  Said Louisa.
‘How is everything there, Alpha?’ Asked Almiro and I bit my lip, grimacing and feeling the harsh pain from the woman’s fangs that are buried in my arms.
‘A strange creature appeared and attacked us. But I can handle this, I just need you two to make sure that other rogues won’t come here.”
‘Roger that. Be careful.’ Said Louisa.
I then cut off our mind link as I focused on the enemy in front of us. She then snarled at us.
“Who are you?” I demanded, glaring at the foreign one.
She started to attack Gusev was about to launch when I stopped him. I grabbed the woman’s throat and avoided her sharp tooth.
“Speak, or I’ll kill you.”
I never smelled anything so strange in my entire life. She’s not a vampire, nor a werewolf. And I could only guess what she is.
She’s both.
No, if I’m not mistaken, she’s a werewolf, vampire, and witch.
A tri-blood.
I had always thought they only existed in legends but seeing one in front of me now removed my doubts.
I had always thought they only existed in legends but seeing one in front of me now removed my doubts.
Just then, arrows came at me from my right and Karleen was quick enough to grab it. “It has poison. Careful!”
The tri-blood managed to get out of my grip and attacked everyone. Some of the pups and some of my trainees were still at the grounds so I instantly mind-linked everyone.
“Everyone, evacuate. We are in a state of emergency. Those who can fight, protect your pups.’ I ordered, and I ordered Karleen to protect the pups too. Almiro and Louisa appeared from the woods and then transformed into their wolves grabbing the arrows and letting the pups evacuate from the place.
Gusev stayed, watching everything silently.
Just then, his eyes widened, and pointed,  “Behind you!”
I didn’t have to look up and saw the woman getting beaten up by a tall figure.
Alpha Magnus.
He transformed into his wolf, a black fur and a size bigger than me, He cast a glance at me. “I apologize that I’m late, Kamilah.” He breathed out, looking at me, and pointed at the filthy creature in front of us.
“This is a tri-blood that Druscilla released. This time, they are seriously coming after you. We need to leave somewhere safe.”
I creased my eyebrows, “We? What do you mean we? Why are you dragging me with you?”
He looked me dead in the eye, his gold eyes shimmering against the sun, “They only want you, Alpha Kamilah. As long as they know where you are, they’ll attack you.” He explained. “I’ll let some of my pack guards here for extra security. But you need to come with me. I know somewhere safe for us.”
I looked around, looking at my whole pack which is now in disarray. Looks like almost everyone had evacuated.
Realizing suddenly hit me. Alpha Magnus is right. I need to leave in order to protect them. I gulped, feeling emotional as I had to leave my pack, my most precious thing in the world. The world I worked so hard to build for decades.
But this will be the best decision.
I transformed into my wolf, my white fur showing and Alpha Magnus took the lead.
“Are you just going to leave me here?” Gusev asked us.
Alpha Magnus rolled his eyes. “You can run faster than us.”
“But the enemy is a tri-blood! I stood no chance!” He complained.
“Then that’s your problem,” Magnus replied and looked at me, “Say goodbye to you members. We might for a few weeks there.”
“Then that’s your problem,” Magnus replied and looked at me, “Say goodbye to you members. We might for a few weeks there.”
Alpha Magnus then stayed to the side to give me space.
 I called my trusted warriors.
Karleen, Almiro, and Louisa instantly appeared in front of me.
I cleared my throat, “It’s me that they want. They won’t stop until I leave this place. I’ll leave the pack to you, my subordinates. Don’t worry, Alpha Magnus will deploy some of his members here for added protection.”
“Is this a temporary goodbye?” Asked Louisa, her eyes a bit teary-eyed.
I shook my head, trying hard not to let my tears fall, “We’ll see each other again soon.”
“I’m going to miss your orders,” Said Karleen, wiping her snot as tears fell from her eyes.
Almiro looked at me with a serious look, understanding the gravity of the situation, “Please keep safe, Alpha.”
I nodded, giving them a hug and throwing one last look before facing Alpha Magnus who was waiting to the side.
“I’m ready,” I announced to him and he nodded.
Just then, Dimitri and some of his men came. Louisa saw Dimitri and avoided his gaze.
I wanted to tease the two but this is not the right time for now.
Looking at them, there were around ten of Alpha Magnus’s men here.
“But what about your pack?” I asked him and he shrugged.
“They can handle it. And Druscilla is after you, not me. I also have planned ahead in case something happens.”
I nodded, somehow feeling a bit comfortable and relieved. He’s really willing to help me.
Honestly, if he wasn’t here, that Tri-blood might have taken a toll on me, and worse, my pack would have fallen.
“Keep your senses clear. We don't know who their other allies are.” Alpha Magnus warned as he started to guide me away from the pack, looking behind us to check for enemies following us. We ran side by side.
“How did they find out where my pack is?” I asked in frustration as we were slowly leaving my pack borders.
“Don’t tell me that it’s Gusev?” I asked, somehow clicking it all together.
“No, that mosquito is dumb.” He reassured me. “It must be my former members. Those rogues must have joined forces with them. Just as I expected.”
I gritted my teeth and quietly followed him. I didn’t trust Alpha Magnus in the past, but with the recent encounter with him,  my inner wolf has told me now that he’s right.
“So where is this place you're taking me?”  I asked.
“So where is this place you're taking me?”  I asked.
“I’ll tell you later. Someone might know and is following us.” He answered and then continued running. We had been going on for two hours, with a few missed attacks from other rogues and distracting them so they wouldn't know our destination.
We were completely out of my territory and his, even nearly reaching the Lycan King's territory.
A howling from a distance came and I could smell a familiar scent. “He’s here,” I announced and Alpha Magnus nodded calmly.
“So that bastard chose death.” He smirked, getting angry.
“Hey, love birds! Do you mind if I ask where are you two going?” He asked mockingly, keeping up our pace as he had two of his men behind him. He shifted into his wolf, having a gray fur, and continued taunting us.
We stopped running and decided to face him, stuck in the woods.
“That lovely white fur of yours is indeed pretty, Alpha Kamilah. But I’m afraid it would get full of blood soon.”
“Blood? Mine or yours?” I asked, fighting back.
Alpha Magnus put his hand on my shoulder, “He’s distracting us. It’s best we ignore him.”
“And the risk he’ll follow and find our destination?” I arched my eyebrows and scoffed, “It would be best to end his life right here and now.”  I said menacingly, “Isn’t it good manners to cut his head off and gift it to his father?”
A smirk played on Alpha Magnus’s lips, agreeing with me.  “Good idea.”
Lukas furrowed his eyebrows, putting his hand on his chest as if acting hurt, “Are you sure about that? Kamilah, you seem to be underestimating me.”
“It’s you that is underestimating me,” I said to him fiercely.
