Chapter 40 Sacrifice

“And risk he’ll follow and find our destination?” I arched my eyebrows and scoffed, “It would be best to end his life right here and now.”  I said menacingly, “Isn’t it good manners to cut his head off and gift it to his father?”
A smirk played on Alpha Magnus’s lips, agreeing with me.  “Good idea.”
Lukas furrowed his eyebrows, putting his hand on his chest as if acting hurt, “Are you sure about that? Kamilah, you seem to be underestimating me.”
“It’s you that is underestimating me.” He said and I instantly launched at him. His two men behind him came to his defense but Alpha Magnus came to them, “Na uh, I’ll take care of you two.”
I smirked, knowing that he was letting me fight alone. Good, because I won’t be mercy in killing this man in front of me.
Now shifting into my white-furred wolf, I watch as Lukas in front of me took a step back, but tried to stand brave for himself.
Now shifting into my white-furred wolf, I watch as Lukas in front of me took a step back, but tried to stand brave for himself.
He sent a chilly smile to me, his tongue licking his upper lips, “I won’t get easy on you, babe.”
I scrunched my nose in disgust at the word babe.
“Good, but why are you shaking now?”  I taunted, pointing at his legs that uncontrollably shaking.
“Come on, you can back down now if you know that you can’t handle this.”
He seemed to get triggered at what I said as he didn’t waste another moment but got his paw on me. I crossed my hand and protected my head. He tried to bite off my hand but I pushed his legs and threw him to the ground.
“Is that all you can do?” I teased, grabbing his neck. Sure, he’s much bigger in size but just like my other enemies, my speed and strength overpower that.
He pushed me off and I stumbled a bit. Growling, he launched and tried to bite off my shoulder and I lost balance, suddenly feeling the pain that the hybrid had bitten me off earlier.
“What about now?” He retorted, eyes focused on me.
I could sense Alpha Magnus’s hard gaze on me, making sure I was okay and preparing himself for any backup.  I know he completely trusts me on this, but the look of worried flashing in his eyes couldn’t deny how he’s ready to kill Lukas for me with just one snap.
I appreciate that, but my pride won’t let him do that. This is my business so I have to complete it on my own.
“Make sure one of them is alive.” I reminded Alpha Magnus behind me.
“Sure, but why?” He asked, confused a bit. “I already killed one though.”
I looked behind, checking to see that he had indeed, taken down one of them and was laying on the ground, blood all over the woods. Goodness, we’ll have to cover the smell as soon as possible. This will only gain attention. Lukas saw his men on the ground and breathed deeply, anger running in his veins now.

“Then leave the other one. I’ll have him deliver Lukas’s head to his father of course.”
With my response, he immediately agreed.
I caught sight of the only one left and I smiled at him.
“Make sure to stay alive for your master.” I reminded him and he gulped, panic and fear in his eyes. He tried to open his mouth but his voice wouldn’t get out.
I faced back on Lukas and cooed, “You should have brought more of your men.”
I found the right timing and I instantly chewed on Lukas’s legs and made him stumble on the hard rock. He bit off my legs but I kicked him off and I grabbed his head.
“Any last words?”
“Fuck you!”  He roared, completely now in my mercy, knowing he’s down now. I could sense fear flashing in his eyes now and his two men behind me were already taken care of. He’s all alone now. No one could help him now.  No one. Tsk, leave it to egoistical creatures who would never beg for their life. Their too arrogant that they would choose to die than beg for their life.
The thought even excites me. Call me psycho or whatever, but situations like these always give me some unknown motivation, remembering my past where I was too weak as an omega. I feel like it is really my time shining now.
But looks at us now.
How fast time flies by.
“Awee, I wanted to let you off, I’m kind after all, but no, I want your father to experience hell for messing up with my pack.”  I said, “I guess you could call this a sacrifice?”
“You’ll pay for this, you’ll be dead soon anyway!” He threatened and gritted his teeth, trying to fight back but I had pinned him down already. Alpha Magnus watched, grabbing the Lukas’ subordinate and making him watch the scene.
I didn’t hesitate a minute and grabbed his head and bit his neck, and in a snap, his subordinate watched as I behead him and whimpered. Lukas howls were so loud that Alpha Magnus instantly stood beside me.
“We need to be quick, their men might have caught on to his cry for help. We don’t want to waste more time here.”
I threw my head off Lukas to his subordinate and said, “Tell his father I said hi, okay? He can’t just bring me down like that.”
He nodded, grabbing his master’s head and running away from us obediently.
I clasped my hand together and noticed Alpha Magnus’s hard gaze on me.
I faced him with my arched eyebrows, “What?”
“It’s the first time I watched you kill someone in front of me…” He trailed off, letting out his thoughts to me.
“It’s the first time I watched you kill someone in front of me…” He trailed off, letting out his thoughts to me.
“Hmm... You thought I really wouldn’t kill someone?” I asked.
“Honestly, yes…” He admitted and I just shook my head.
“Come on, let’s go now.”
I let him take the lead and follow him to our destination, noticing how eerily quiet it is now. Too quiet that it’s strange. Magnus noticed it too as he glanced at me, giving me a signal.
We roam around until we made sure we were not being watched. Just then, Alpha Magnus stopped at a cave.
I looked around, sniffing the air and sensing neutral energy from here.
“This is the least dangerous place right now. I made preparations for this day to come. But now we have to seek shelter here.” He then looked at my arms and his eyes widened, seeing the blood still gushing forth from the wound.
I looked at it, remembering that I was bitten by the tri-blood earlier. It was pretty deep, I admit.
But then my healing abilities should have taken care of it. “It should be healing by now..” I trailed off.
He clicked his tongue, looking angry at the thought of me hurting.  “It must be because of the tri-blood’s fangs. We need to treat that as soon as possible before it spreads in your system.”
