Feronia Kingdom,
Inside the Palace
A sudden meeting with almost all of the nobles and officials of Feronia Kingdom was secretly commenced through the king's decree.
"Greetings, Your Majesty!"
"Long Live, Your Majesty!"
"May the kingdom be more prosperous and peaceful!"
The nobles and officials greeted the Feronia Kingdom's ruler, King Jefferson Lovete, with a formal voice and light expression before sitting down on their designated chair.
As a matter of fact, they were nervous, scared and curious about the sudden meeting, however, they prefered to hide their emotions as to not disturb the king.
On the right side of the palace were the high-ranking nobles and on the left side were the important officials of the kingdom, whereas, King Jefferson's throne was located at the uppermost to show superiority to his subordinates.
Standing on his right side was the Kingdom's wisest strategist, Kenny Ofonda, with a white fan on his hand, while on the left side was one of the Kingdom's strongest knight, Raymark Quino, with his two war blades on the back.
King Jefferson was wearing an expensive red robe that made of silk, and on his head was a golden crown. He was a middle-age and a not-so-fat man with a short black mustache.
It was known throughout the kingdom the ruthlessness and selfishness of the king. In addition to that, he had twelve concubines and more or less two dozens of children.
As King Jefferson proudly and confidently sitting on his throne, he said, "Enough with the greetings. I called you here not for that, it is something else," and then, he put his right hand onto the air, "Strategist?"
"Yes, Your Majesty," Kenny, the strategist, replied after seeing the king's signage, "There are two reasons why the king, his majesty, called you here. Firstly, he would like to listen about some reports."
General Rayven with his spear on the back of his armored suit, said, "Y-your Majesty, I have something to report."
"Go on."
"We all know that we are in a war with Merica Kingdom for quite some time already. A-and currently we lose an additional three of our cities," the General said with a heavy sigh, "And the damage it brought to our soldiers was quite a huge one. Several of the soldiers were killed, while many were injured and even crippled. As such, they need proper treatment as soon as possible and we need to have a plan for measures and for counter attack."
When the king heard the General's words, his face became darker than usual.
"Useless!" he angrily shouted to the general to the point that the veins on his head were almost bursted, "And why did that happen? Are the warriors of my kingdom were reduced into wastes?! Not only did I lose my three cities, the warriors also became useless!"
"I'm s-sorry, Your Majesty," the General apologized.
"Huh?! Sorry? What can sorry do?! Tell me!"
"P-please calm down, Your Majesty. It's not good for your health," the Minister of Medicine, James, implied with a worried face.
"Are you thinking I'm not in a good health, Minister of Medicine?!" the King felt offended from James' words.
As James' sweats started to drop on his face, he tried to explain, "N-no, no. That's not what I meant, Your Majesty. Of course, you are still full of vitality and strong as ever. But don't pressure yourself over such a mere event," then, his eyes secretly looked at the strategist as if asking for help.
The General was annoyed with the words 'mere event', "You---"
But he was interrupted by the strategist, "He is right, Your Majesty. You don't need to concern yourself over such a simple matter. Furthermore, it has already happened and what's we need to do is to address it."
"Fine."
As the Minister of Medicine heard that word, he let out a relieved sigh. It was because he still remembered one of the terrible days of his life. It was when the king's favorite concubine suffered an illness and as he was on a vacation day, the king demolished the Medicine Palace while whipping the assigned doctors as he wanted to cure his concubine as soon as possible. Not only that, after his vacation the king also temporarily abolished his status for a year while ordering his family not to take a single step out of their residence.
Then, strategist coughed in an obvious manner, "Minister of Medicine?"
"Y-yes?" Mark stuttered as he stopped his reminiscing immediately after hearing the strategist.
"Please do treatment of the warriors who were injured and crippled. As for those who died," then the strategist took a glance at the man with glasses, "The Minister of Resources shall be the one to assess that."
The Minister of Resources, Clied nodded, "I will responsible for it, Mr. Strategist."
"Very good," then Kenny added, "While in regards with the Merica Kingdom, we will send one of the Kingdom's guardian to help. Is that alright, General Rayven?"
"I'm t-thankful, Mr. Strategist," the General answered as he bitted his teeth secretly as he was being in unfavorable state. Sending the guardian of the kingdom to fight against the Merica Kingdom only meant that I am not capable to my duty as a General. I am a shame of myself. I need to please the king and will do everything according to his command.
"Hmmm..." Kenny ignored General Rayven's remark, "So any report to his Majesty?"
A huge muscle and a bald man raised his right hand, "I have a good news, Your Majesty!"
"What is it, Minister of Weaponry?" the King asked with a curiosity.
"I have successfully created an improvised cannon that can kill hundred of warriors in a single shot!" the Minister of Weaponry, Joseph, proudly exclaimed, "In addition, we also improved the quality of the weapons through smelting the newly discovered metal, azurite."
"Very good! That's a report I'd wish to hear!" the King laughed while clapping his hands.
The Representative of Feron Academy, Arianne, also raised her right hand, "Your Majesty, the Feron Academy recently discovered a method to increase the destructiveness of one's magic power, however, it has some minor aftereffects. We still researching how to remove it. Despite that, we would like to contribute it first to the kingdom."
"Hohoho! I would gladly accept that offer!" a huge smile was shown on the King's smile, "Anything else to report?"
