Chapter 30 Ride Out

The next day, she was opportuned to not only see the mansion of an Italian Billionaire, but also get to feel its walls and witness its beauty in and out.
"Are you going to sit down or what?" Logan said to Camila whose mind had been tipped off by the overwhelming charge of the mansion.
The living room was authentic, much more vintage and looked aged with classic textures. Gold and silver decorative wares weren't spared from its exquisite assets.
The chandelier that hung from the far-reached POP ceiling was huge and its light clinged under gold antiques reflected onto the white ceiling and gave a crisp and sweet look.
The mansion must have been built a long time ago, but the technological gadgets and appliances present were of advanced innovations, and some, fully customized. But the rich feel of its history wasn't absent.
Camila walked close to a rather large golden and silver wolf on the side of the television corner. "Is this real?" She asked him.
Logan chuckled. "Of course, it isn't, it's man made, Camila, man made" he said shaking his head.
Camila looked at him and rolled her eyes. He smiled a bit. "I mean, is the silver and gold real? Claiming smart ass"
"I know that's what you meant…" he winked with his two eyebrows stationed up. "And yes, they are all real"
Camila glanced around the space, this time taking everything into consideration and observing how almost everything was silver and gold.
She was surprised and wondered why he would be wasting money. She walked back and sat down without looking down at the chair. "You waste a lot of money" she lamented.
"I have everything. I have tasted everything. I have been everywhere, so the money can serve any purpose"
"Why do you have Silver all around you?" Camila asked out of curiosity.
"It helps me to grow immune to silvers, and the more I have it around the less fearful I would feel for silver and the less effect it will have on me, plus it keeps someone like Buck away—"
      "Buck?..."
"Yes. An insignificant other I hope you don't—"
"Get to meet… Yes, you said that before…" she drew closer to him. "Nothing you said makes sense, Logan" she shook her head slowly and rested her back on the couch.
"Oh sorry forgive my rudeness. I will call a maid right away…" Logan said, picking a telephone on the table beside him.
Camila lifted up her head and wrinkled her face while the thought of what he was talking about flowed through her mind.
«I have a guest. Please bring something for her» Logan said into the telephone and ended the call. "What would you like to take?" Logan asked.
"How am I sure that you don't want to poison me?" Camila asked.
Logan chuckled. "Fine, a drink will do…" he went to the wine show glass and brought out two bottles of Shipwrecked 1907 Heidsieck. And two wine glasses which he set on the table.
"Shall we?" He asked, opening one bottle. Camila smiled; always ready. He filled the wine glasses halfway and dropped the wine on the table. He took his own and gave Camila hers. She shook her head and filled her glass to the brim.
"Okay, that's good too" Logan commented, raising his wine glass. "Cheer—"
Camila had all the wine inside the wine glass disposed off into her stomach all at once and with a grin, she set it on the table, filling it again. "There is nothing to cheer for," she said, taking another gulp.
Logan parted his lips but nothing came out, except dregs of breath. But with his next gander at the bottle on the table, words were forced out from his mouth.
"You know you are drinking alcohol? Not milk. You could get really wasted any moment…" he faced aside like he was thinking of something. "That's what they call it right? …" He muttered to himself. "Wasted" and back at Camila who showed no sign of being taken over by the alcohol.
"I don't get wasted," She replied abruptly.
"Oh of course, you're not a woman, are you?"
"You must be drunk" she snarled.
"So, what do you know?" Logan dropped the wine glass on the table and sat back; it was time to be serious.
"I'm not sure…" she locked eyes with Logan who was going to say something in a disappointed tone. "But, I know Jacques' brother…"
     "So?" Logan asked.
"So he is going to help us" Camila replied.
"How is he going to be of any help? You said it yourself, you two are very much closer to each other…"
"Yes, but I don't sleep with him all the time! I'm not his fucking mom or sister!" She Scoffed. Logan stared at her for a moment and took a sip from his wine glass.
"How would I know? Anyways, where do we find this man?"
"First of all, do we have a deal?" Camila asked.
"About what you want?" Camila nodded her head. "You know everything about me… of course. Do you want to sign papers?"
"No, thanks. I'm not a CEO, obviously" she defended.
Logan chuckled, "fine. So what's it gonna be?"
"I will meet you here tomorrow"
"Where are we going to see this man though?"
    "The state of California"

The next day saw Camila going back to Logan's house. He waited for her outside, leaning against his 1958 Ferrari 250 GT LWB Cal Spyder. A light grin grew apparent with the drawing of his cheeks as Camila lapped in sight.
Logan fell his head to a glimpse on his watch; but he hadn't no wristwatch on.
"On time, I see" he said, Camila stopped halfway to him and casted her eyes on the car.
"Do you have just one car?" She asked, as if she deserved to have her own ride, the billionaire should know better.
Logan brought out a keypad and pressed a button. They were at the front yard, and the garage that was stationed at the front yard, coupled with the mansion was opened.
Camila was awestruck by the diverse collection of cars in his possession. That was the best exotic car collection she had ever seen.
"And I know which one you are going to take…" Logan brought out a car key and pressed the button for a beep from a Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300 and flung the key to her catch.
"Knowing me better, huh?" She said with a light smile lining across her lips to her cheeks.
Logan shrugged, opened the door of his key. "What's a better way to be partners?" And had his way inside, starting the engine at once.
"Let's hit the road" she said to herself, embracing her ride.
