Chapter 34 So Close

"No, you are not going to kill her" I forced myself to get the stick out but it was too big for where it was, and too painful.
"You haven't been listening. Anyways, hope you survive this, its only a shame that you don't get to see her at her end" he said and walked away.
The night was before the sky already, and I had to get out of it no matter what. So I tried, I tried harder.
Truth be told, I could die if it takes my heart out with it, although I would get back to the land of the living, but it would take up to a hundred and twenty full moons for my heart to regenerate and for life to be insnared back
But I had to try, even if death would be included in the master plan.
I broke part of the branch that stuck out to my chest and cried out loud with the pain.
I pulled myself out with all the strength I could muster up and reached the remaining distance between earth and the sky with my body.
I curled up in pain on the ground as my broken bones started healing, causing bits of pain as well. I had lost a lot of blood already but the wound on my chest was healing fast enough.
When it was just enough for me to get going, I stood up and staggered inside to get my car key and drove away to the address she sent to me on my phone.

     Camila's POV*_*
I parked my car along the rails of an old and abandoned train station. It did look like a secret organisation's territory, but more of an abandoned one.
But a better walk inside shew active activities. Heaps of containers stacked according to rows and in large deposits.
I brought my gun with me and didn't hesitate to pull it out while being stealth. I glanced back to see if Logan was around, but he wasn't. I felt like I needed him this time but he was nowhere to be found, maybe I shouldn't had acted the way I did.
"Damn it! …" I said through clenched teeth. "Is two sides anyways, kill or be killed, and I'm ready for either side" I said, taking my first leap toward a direction of light. Some bunker preceded the front row iron containers.
I sighted a couple of cars and men at a distance; they had to be agents and assassins like me.
"A good day to die" I muttered, checking for extra bullets. I knew that I couldn't take them all at once but I didn't hesitate to think of a way to sneak in.
And I also knew that I couldn't find anything helpful without taking down anyone that got in my way.
I looked around the premises, surprised at how sharp my vision had become during dark hours, and I caught a truck by my rear view.
I quickly ran to it, avoiding getting seen and when I lapped at it, i motioned to enter the truck but I was halted by the sound of a click on a gun. My heart raced and I slowly raised my head, turning my body.
"If I were you, I wouldn't" he said, tightening his grasp on the gun. "Who are you and what are you doing here?"
"How am I supposed to answer any of that without saying it to your face?" I hoped he would buy that because one mistaken move could jeopardize the whole mission.
"Huh? You gotta be serious bitch, I can send you to your grave right away"
"Oh yea? You are going to kill a drunk girl who missed her way? Huh? Is that what you are going to do? Okay then, be my guest!" At that time, I could hear his heart beat and I could hear blood pump and spread through his veins.
"What's happening to me?" I muttered to myself. It felt like a sore needing an antidote of sort immediately in my tongue. I couldn't hold it, it was stronger than me.
"Hey, what's going on with you?" I heard him move his body, and his hand was reaching out to me. It intensified, I could hear everything, but his blood pumping was highlighted.
"Get the hell out of my head!" Caught in rage, I found myself holding the man's neck and snapped it at once, leaving him to fall dead.
My eyes widened and stared at my hands. It happened so fast that I didn't even know what and how it happened.
But if there was one thing about that kill, it was that I loved the feeling. It felt good killing him. But I had already attracted attention from the guys at the end.
Torch lights ran helter-skelter at the truck's direction and they called names. Maybe they called him, maybe not. How would I know?
Someone was coming closer, and it wouldn't take him time to sight the dead body on the ground and I couldn't take the body away from sight either, it was too late.
With no other option in mind and no time to reason one either, I hopped on the truck which luckily had a key ready for start off already.
"Hey! Who is there!?" He yelled at me and flashed the torch light on my face. I cringed at it and got angry. The others disengaged their guns from its holders, and not only did all their torch light switched on my face, all their guns pointed at me.
"Damn it what was i thinking?!"
"Hands above your head while you come down!" They commanded.
I did so immediately. "I'm sorry I got drunk and lost my way. I have been abandoned by my boyfriend…" haven't I really?
"Come down, slowly" he advanced at me. I was ready to come down and maybe settle things with them once I did, but… plans were always ruined, right?!
"What? Who is that? Who is down there?" He laid lifeless. I killed him, and I was about to get killed. He looked at me with dreadful eyes. And the only thing I could do was to shrug, with a half partitioned smile.
He pointed the gun at me, I ducked and hit my legs on the truck. And the truck moved with force. The bullet had already crashed into my shoulder and more bullets were being ensued, but they either flew away or hit the truck.
The place soon became a yard of gun shots, blood and destruction as the truck crashed into the bunk in front, destroying the fleet of super cars with it.
They ran aside and continued shooting while the truck's part covered me, partially. I was about to give up because a few bullets had hit me and I would be bleeding out, but I wouldn't go down without a fight.
I was stuck in the truck while they fired behind me. I brought out my left arm with my gun while holding the steering wheel and fired back at them which obviously would miss anybody.
"Argh! Damn it!" I cringed. I saw that they were falling back and getting away in their cars, while the juniors stayed back to neutralize me and buy them some time.
"No way. Is a good night to die hard…" I said with a smile without bothering to brew on the fact that I was exceptionally hungry and determined to kill everyone even if it involved getting myself killed as well.
I geared down on the reverse, and moved back with force which scratched a few cars and sent them driving away for their lives.
They continued firing at me as I tried to take the truck out of the way, but it looked like I wasn't going anywhere and watching the cars drive away got me so mad that I jumped out of the truck and fired back at them.
They wanted a fight the hard and rough way, so did I. I fired without stopping and without clarifications.
I gunned down one… and two. A satisfying smile spread across my lips. The sound of an empty gun hit my ear from behind, and I turned to see a hefty man with a stone cold shiny head, even at night.
He growled like an animal and threw his gun away with a spit at it for getting out of bullets before he could terminate his target.
"Oh man…" I said with smile shaking my head. "This is a good night, isn't it?"
He looked at my gun and growled to me to drop it on the ground and fight one on one.
I brought the gun close to my face and looked into his eyes while my ears retained the sounds of escape. "Gosh, I hate this…" I pointed the gun at him and he widened his eyes in fear.
"Sorry. Next time when we meet in hell, we would have Lucifer judge us, that would be more honourable" and that was the last words his ears heard before a hole was made in his head. The man's decline caused a shake. "See you soon"
I turned to enter into the truck but immediately I heard gunshots and cries of pain, I resorted to a blue sports car not far from me.
After a brief drive I halted at a surprise; they were shooting into the dark while blood and dead bodies strayed all over the ground. The cars were jam-packed and there was no way of leaving, not until whatever or whoever they were shooting at was down.
I got out from the car and saw a man stuck in the driver's seat with a broken leg. I unclipped my gun and rushed at him.
     "Please save me!" He begged.
"Will do quite the opposite…" the smell of his blood entered into my nose and my eyes widened with the strange gut feeling from before.
My throat itched and my heart raced, my body seemed to be needing every drop of his blood and the more I tried to resist it the more stronger the urge became that I held his neck involuntary and feeling his neck bones and how I would break them felt good. I felt powerful, strong and invincible.
"He is down!" They shouted. I looked at the direction and saw a dreaded large and seemingly dangerous figure and the blood urge intensified and de-intensified immediately and he talked to me in a Predatoric voice. His voice sounded like a combination of predatory animals, and he panted wildly like a wolf. "Camila, don't do it"
Was I dreaming? I looked back at the man he was already dying in my hands. "No, no. Wake up!" I slapped him multiple times and he flickered his eyes, catching his breathe.
"Who are you working for?" I asked him and he smiled with his dying breath. "Shit" I hit my hand on top of the steering partition and saw a mobile device clinged to the audio player.
I took a closer look at the screen and realized that the cars were connected and it was a communication device.
I looked at the very car that most of the communications was coming from and the ID, then I heard a car move… it was the same car. A bulletproof black tinted limo. "Fuck!" I chased after them on foot ignoring the strange figure's pleas to stop.
"They are gone. Stop trying to catch up with them…" he said. I stopped with a furrow between my eyebrows and turned to where I ran from; I had already gone a great distance with my legs, but how was I still hearing him even from the far distance? It didn't really matter anyway, the car was gone but they left a trace behind…
