"Hey stop shoving me will you." I complained to the angel.
"Then stop moving so slowly," he answered back.
"I dont want to be..."
But before I can finish what i'm saying the door bursts open. And it reveals a bare feet woman with messy hair and ripped gown. She was breathing heavily like she just participated in a hundred meter dash.
And I thought our secret grand entrance cannot be topped.
But the second she saw us her expression suddenly changed.
I really thought she would get scared and run away. Maybe she could get some help and rescue me.
But to my disappointment she closed the door behind her while looking intently at Kai. She surveyed him from head to foot.
"You're finally back, you monster."
And to my horror she took the shotgun just conveniently hanging at the back of the door and without any hesitation aimed the gun at Kai and shot us twice.
"Niccolo moved." My brain is shouting at me. I'm standing next to Kai. If that woman missed him a few inches I could die. But I was literally frozen from fear.
And I thought when Razor found me in the park, was already the most dangerous situation I've ever been in. Boy was I wrong. This is as close to death as I've ever been to.
As the clock strikes twelve and the fireworks start. The sound of the gunshots was completely drowned out. I think I shouted NO at the top of my lungs. But ofcourse no one heard me. Im going to die even before i could say sorry to my adoptive parents.
But even before the bullet could hit any of us it suddenly stopped in mid air then drop. Like it was block by an invincible force. All four of them didn't even flinch.
The woman saw everything but instead of running away from fear which is the normal thing to do. She reloaded, cocked her gun and aimed at us again. But this time we're ready. I immediately ducked.
The devil moved so fast it looks like she teleported. And in a blink of an eye she was able to take the gun away from the girl and the ghost took the chance that shes distracted and touched her. I dont know if the ghost calmed her down or froze her to death but either way im just relieved she stopped her from trying to kill us.
"Calm down we are not your enemy." the angel said. But the woman is fighting it. She's not calming down at all. "Humans are all hard headed. " he complained.
"Wait i thought the woman we saw in the mirror was already in her death bed? How come shes strong as a horse right now and even tried to kill us?" Kai asked
"Because that woman in her death bed is my twin sister you monster." she hissed.
The ghost has already absorbed half of her physical strength and yet shes still defiant. Shes dangerous alright but still not as dangerous as the four that kidnapped me.
I'm sure shes human just a very angry and determined one. Even in our situation i cant help but admire her. If these four l'm with are normal human beings were all probably be dead by now by her surprise attack. Its been like she's actually waiting for us.
"I think she hates you. What the hell did you do to her?" I whispered to Kai. Did Kai kidnapped her also years ago?
"This is the first time I met her or been to this place. I have no idea who she is." Kai answered
"Liar! I may not have seen your face clearly then but i would recognize that tattoo anywhere." She was talking about the arm key tattoo of Kai.
"This tattoo? All key holders have tattoos like this. All of us. The person you probably saw was my mentor. I'm also looking for him."
She's still doubting us. So the devil decided to took over. "You know you cant waste time. Your sister is already dying and hes the only one who can save her."
The devil looked at me. And in turn they all look at me. I turned around maybe the devil is talking about someone else, someone behind me. But no one is behind me. Is she really talking about me?
"Hes the baby that was here 8 years ago." the devil revealed.
"Thats him? It doesnt add up. "He should still be a kid."
"Hey dont look at me. Im also finding out all these information for the first time. And im sure as hell not eight years old." I answer back.
"After everything that you witnessed tonight and years ago you think logic and human rules still apply to us?" the devil reasoned.
"But he looks weak." she commented. Now I feel kinda insulted. Everyone keeps calling me weak. "And why is he tied up?" she asked.
"He was able to absorbed your attack earlier without any problem. And hes tied up because we're still trying to convinced him to cooperate with us."
"Thats him? Hes the one who was able to stop the bullets?"
"Its me?" I thought it was Kai and his door. But come to think of it Kai didnt move at all. I was the only one who reacted by shouting. Can my voice really do that?
"You all caught us by surprise so its kind of too late to deflect the bullets. Ofcourse those bullets won't even leave a dent on me." Said the angel.
"Wait why are you telling her all of these information? We shouldnt trust her. She tried to kill us. Though im already dead." Said the ghost
"I'm not trying to kill you. It was a greeting." She said.
"Is that how you greet your visitors?" I asked.
"You're not my visitors. You're all gate crashers. And as i said im not trying to kill you im just testing my hypothesis."
"What hypothesis?"
"That you're all not human." She again turns her attention to Kai. "If you're not the guy from 8 years ago why are you here?"
