"Hey guys didnt you hear me? I said I want to go home." They all look at each other not even surprised at what I said. They are deliberately ignoring me. That pisses me off.
I was about to say it again when the angel interrupted me.
"Shut up already okay we heard you loud and clear the first time." The angel said. "And thats what were trying to do bring you home."
"Oh please stop pretending that you didnt understand what i said. I want to go back to my bed space in Manila." I retorted.
"Wait, I thought you're here to wake my sister up. Thats your mission right?" Akana asked.
"Well not really." The ghost answered as she studies princess Akana's sister very closely.
"Hey ghost stop hovering over my sister." as she shoo away the ghost like a fly. She's not really afraid of them.
"Sorry but I can't help myself. This is the first time I'm seeing a vessel at work. Its actually amazing that she survived this long. Shes very strong and brave."
"Well she's my sister Ara, of course she's strong and brave. Now if you're not planning to lift my sister's curse, why are you even here?" She asked while directly looking at me.
She may be wearing a ripped gown and her red hair is one hell of a mess but she's quite a beauty. I almost blushed.
"Hey you skinny boy, why are you spacing out? I'm asking you a question." Did she just insult me again?
"Dont look at me. I was just forced to be here. I just met them today." I finally answered.
"Lets set things straight here okay." the devil finally decided to explain everything. "The reason why your sister is in a coma is because she was forced to absorb Niccolo's power. Her body served as a vessel eight years ago."
"And now you're here to take it back from her. Am I right? Will that wake her up?" Akana asked.
"We cannot promise you that. But if theres one thing we are sure of Niccolos power been taking a toll on her body."
"In short his power is killing her slowly." the ghost said while still looking at Ara's comatose body.
"Then what are you waiting for? Unburden her now." Princess Akana demanded.
"Well we want to but Niccolo here is not being cooperative right now." the angel complained.
Again they all looked at my direction. "Hey why are you all looking at me like everything is my fault. I was the one kidnapped here and was dragged to this palace against my will."
"I'm not blaming you. I'm asking for your help." Princess Akana said. Her voice is already quivering. She sounded desperate.
"I wanted to help but What if i end up like her?"
Thats when she lost it. "Why are you such a coward? My sister is literally dying here and you're the only one who can save her. And yet you're afraid to help? Can you continue to live your life knowing a woman is dead because of you?"
I was surprised by her outburst but shes right. Even if im unaware of it im still the cause of her sister's lifelong suffering. If those four are telling the truth then i need to do something.
I breathed deeply and decided to help. But i still have my doubts. And i know they can all sense it.
"Dont worry Niccolo You're not going to die. That power originally belongs to you. Don't you want to know how powerful you are and what you're capable of? You want an escape and an answer. Well heres your chance."
Kai is right. This is an opportunity to know what im really capable of. All three years of my life i was looking for answers now that its presented to me I shouldnt be having doubts.
So after the angel untie me I approached the bed of princess Ara. I wonder if shes aware of whats going on. Then i realized i have no idea what im supposed to do
"What should i do? Must i kiss her or something?" I asked.
"You've read too many fairy tales." The ghost commented.
"Just hold her hand, then imagine that shes transferring your power back to you." the devil instructed.
I'm actually quite nervous but i followed her instruction. I took Princess Ara's hand. Her hand was cold at first but its beginning to get warm. I tried to concentrate.
And in just a few seconds i started to feel warm all over. Its actually a good feeling. Like I was a baby being protected by my mothers womb kind of feeling. Its like a good but distant memory. Thats starting to come back to me. Then i started to glow.
"Its working. Hes getting his power back." The ghost was obviously fascinated.
I closed my eyes and savor the sensation of power entering my body. But the warmth feeling earlier is starting to get out of control. In just a few seconds i feel like someone toss me to the fire. My whole body feels like im burning.
And i wanted to scream for help but nothing came out of my mouth. Then my chest started hurting. Am i having a heart attack? I can no longer take the pain.
