"Thats him. Thats..." but before i can utter another word akana covered my mouth with her hand.
"Shhhh" and then shake hear head. Signalling me to keep quiet. She then took out her cellphone and typed something. After that she showed me her screen.
Lets follow them first before telling others.
I dont know her plan or whats going on in her mind but i nod signalling that i understand. Thats when she remove her hand on my mouth. Gotta admit her hand smells good.
"Lets observe them first." She said.
Miftah is the one that approaches my parents. At first they look suspiciously at him but when they saw the baby they look at each other.
I dont know what miftah was telling them but i wish I know. I tried to use my "bionic ears" but it doesnt seem to work. I still can't hear them.
Meanwhile Akana recorded Miftahs every move. I dont know if a camera can capture mere memories but it wouldnt hurt if she tries.
"He pretended to be your father. He wanted your parents to adopt the baby. He was supposed to leave you inside the church but change his mind when he saw your parents." She typed on her cellphone.
"How do you know all of these?" Is she really human?
"I know how to lip read." she said like she heard my thoughts.
"Okay so you're very skilled."

"Speaking of skills. How come you know my language?" Akana asked.
"Of course I learn it from school Tagalog and English." I said.
"I'm not talking in English. And I could understand you because one of my nanny before is Filipino so I was able to Learn the language. Damn you have the ability to understand any language. I wish I have your power." She mused
"Money can help you learn ton of skills anyway. Suck to be poor."
"You're kinda lucky to be unaware all these years. I on the other hand have to look out for myself cause i couldn't rely on my parents for protection. And I had nightmares about a boogeyman coming for me and my sister.
"In my case I wish i had known earlier since i dont have much of a choice but to follow my fate anyways."
"What are you two doing?"
Shit its the devil. We were found out. Her doe eyes looking at me disappointingly.
"You're very sneaky." the ghost commented.
"Its her idea. I wanted to tell you we saw Miftah. But she stopped me." i'm not proud of snitching but it's the devil she will be able to read my thoughts anyways so no use to lie.
Akana glared at me. Now I'm doomed. I hope she lets me explain later.
"You think you can sneak behind our back." the angel looks at us like we did something really useless and stupid.
Kai who doesnt seem to care just casually approached my parents and Miftah. They were surprisingly receptive of him and his questions.
"I didnt like what you did there." the devil talked to akana.
"You actually think I would trust you right away?"
"You should if you want to stay alive and complete your mission. Soon after we find the key, our next destination could be our world. And no amount of book knowledge or skills will prepare you for that."
"I still dont trust you enough. I know that you have a use for me thats why you allowed me to come with you. Because if not i dont think you will agree."
"Exactly you're useful to us alive. So expect us to protect you at all cost. Ofcourse Niccolo is more important than you but since he makes it his mission to protect you and that he agrees to come here in part because of you you're basically almost equally important as he is."
"Im happy to know that."
"So do you trust us now?"
"As if I have a choice. But yes i trust you." as she looks at Kai's direction.
Kai was openly observing Miftah and my parents even asking them questions.
After a few minutes Kai leave them alone. He looks kind of disappointed
"Seems like Miftah already hides the key before he approach your parents. And he's not telling me anything even if he recognized me."
"He could have given it to anyone. This is A perfect hiding place." Akana commented.
"And he could have stayed here atleast a week. He could have hired someone to take care of the baby while he hides the key." She continues.
"You really like solving mysteries. Too bad there arent any ghost here i can ask for information. By the way are you the one who found the key in the castle?" the ghost asked.
"Yes i found it in the maids quarter in a hidden compartment of an table cabinet. A maid keep going to this particular room so i thought shes doing something for my father. Come to think of it when i found the key the maid also disappeared in the palace. I didnt think about it that much because my father could have fired her for failing. But What if its really Miftah who hide the key and he just lead me to it through that maid."
"That make sense but that would require a different set of power all together. Miftah is one of the most powerful keyholder in our world. Its not far fetch that he got other ability aside from being a keyholder."
"Is that a common thing in your world?" Akana asked the devil.
"Creatures with multiple abilities? Yes but not everyone got super powers. Only a few creatures have those special abilities. And depending on how strong your ability is in our world, that's what rules.
"How about you? Is your ability special enough to rule a kingdom?"
"No not really. Thats why i asked them to help me."
"How about my ability?"
"Its enough for a kingdom to want you and with your other abilities they could give you a high position in our world."
"I thought so. Well im already a princess and it kinda sucks, honestly. How about Niccolo?"
"What about me?"
"Can he become a king in your world." Akana asked.
"He's a demi god. Hes more than a king."
"You hear that you're more than a king in their world. Exciting right."
"I just want a normal life."
"Too late for that now." The angel commented.
"Wait Something is going on?" the ghost notice.
"Where is everyone? We're the only one left here."
The whole town went ghosting on us.
