"Sorry please dont hurt me. I'll do anything you want. Just spare my face." He begged.
"Wow i didnt know you have super human strength." Akana commented obviously impressed.
"I didnt know it too. Probably gained it because I already have half of my power."
"What should we do with this guy?" I asked Akana.
"Just let him go he's a loser anyway."
"Thank you so much, Bossing. "
"Just stop bullying people weaker than you." I said.
As I was about to let go of him I saw another group of men. They were running towards us. They are the barangay tanod or guards that i was talking about earlier.
"Let go of him." They demanded, so i followed what they say. The guy together with his comrades hide behind the guards. There are around ten of them.
"Help us these strangers are trying to hurt us."
"You're the one who are trying to bully someone." I argued.
"We were just talking and they approached us saying they will kick our asses. They're both martial arts experts. And they are the one bullying us."
I was going to further argue my case but the man we were trying to help earlier was already gone. I didnt even notice that he left.
"You're just some tourists here and you're already making trouble in our barangay. Arrest them." the head tanod commanded.
"Lets not resist them. The whole town might treat us as enemies. Lets just do what they say for now. I dont think they can hurt us anyway." Akana suggested.
I just nodded and follow the guards instruction. After ten minutes of walking we ended up in the barangay hall where the barangay captain is waiting.
"These five guys are filing a complaint against you two." The captain told us. "And since my son told me that you are dangerous we are going to lock you up temporarily until we verify your identity. We will also call the cops on you. You almost disable my god son."
He was talking about the guy Akana threw to the ground earlier.
"Put them in the cell." The barangay captain ordered.
We didn't resist them. We dont want to create another problem. When they already left i just sit down and waited. I wonder where the limping man went? I'm kind of disappointed that he didn't even help us. After we were locked up they all left us alone. They were talking about a singing contest they want to watch at the plaza.
"Are you really like this?" Akana suddenly asked when were now alone.
"Like What?"
"You know putting yourself in harms way just to protect some stranger."
"Never had the opportunity to do it before. My instinct always tells me to avoid danger most of the time."
"Maybe thats what kept you safe all these years. But now since you already have powers, your instinct no longer tells you to hide."
"I think you're right. But everything seems so weird earlier. Everytime i concentrate and focus on their movements everything seems like in slow motion. I could easily read their next move and avoid it. I feel invincible. It was crazy."
"So basically you're like a superhero. So those four arent lying. You are strong. So can you break us out of here? I think Im already hearing the devil calling for us."
"I think you're right they're in the plaza again."
I was about to destroy the padlock of the cell when suddenly the guy with a limp enters the barangay hall.
"I'm glad you're here." He said. "Thank you for helping me out there."
"You're welcome. But why did you left? You could have been our witness." I asked
"I had to go get something important. By the way do you know a man named Miftah?" he asked
"How did you know him?"
"He came into my dream and told me some information. By the way whats your name?" He asked.
"Niccolo." He seem to be satisfied with my answer.
"And who is the key holder you're with?"
I hesitated but in the end I decided this man can be trusted. And he knows Miftah so he definitely got information we might need. "Kai is his name." I said.
He finally smiled. "Atlast I found you."
He took out a key from his pocket and use it to open the lock.
"This key is so useful. It can open anything." he said smiling.
"I wonder if its the magical key were looking for." Akana asked.
"No this key is solely mine. It's a gift from Miftah. He also left you a gift Niccolo. I have something for you." He handed me a piece of rolled paper.
"Goodluck in finding the key." And after that he walked away like nothing happened. He even stopped limping.
I unfold the paper. Its a map. Miftah left us a map to find the key.
