"We should tell him the truth." The white lady suggested while she glides in the air. The keyholder tried to ignore her presence while he rummaged through the fridge for some food.
In his disappointment all he got was cold tap water. He closes the fridge and when he opens it there's already tons of food available. The fridge is literally overflowing with food. There's cake, ice cream, fruits, treats, chocolates and anything you can indulge in.
"Wow if im not already dead i will be happy to have those too. Thats an interesting ability you have there. But I thought you need your keys for your power to work?"
"Not all doors are locked." He answered. I can open anything even without a key. "Humans make doors that's easy to open. But the human heart, that's another thing." He said as he ate a cold sandwich.
"I used to have a heart." she idly said. "So what do you think of my plan?" She asked.
"I havent found the key yet or the vessel. We still can't bring back his power."
"I can let him see me. I can appear infront of him."
"And what scare him to death? The angel already informed me of what happened earlier with the thugs. He doesn't need a dead woman in a white gown causing him nightmares."
"I'm not just a dead woman. You know what I can do. I have special abilities."
"So you're not just some unfriendly ghost. I get that. Still what you're planning is risky. He could force us out if we're not careful. Humans have that ability."
"I just think we're wasting time. The sooner he knows the better."
"Lets head back and just talk about this later. The devil will be back soon. Lets discuss the matter with them."
"She's the one who hired you? Right? What exactly did she promise you to make you say yes?" she curiously asked.
"What about you? What are you getting out of this?"
"I'm not going to tell." she coyly said.
"Then you got your answers." He retorted as he took another sandwich and apple in the fridge.
The room is again extra cold. But maybe I'm just sick, that's why it's extra chilly. I need paracetamol but i no longer have money for meds. I don't even have money for food. I will need to find work soon if i'm going to survive the next few days.
Ric might be gone for a while so i will just try to sleep this off. But even before i could catch any sleep, Ric returned. He looks paler than usual but he seem to be fully awake now. And he brought some food. I'm hoping its for me because i'm starving.
I was about to close my eyes again when I realized he's with someone. A woman probably in her mid twenties. I know for a fact she's not human though. I mean she's floating in the damn air. It's the first time I've seen an actual white lady face to face. I'm used to seeing weird creatures. And I know they're not real. But she's different; she looks like she's really there. Smiling at me. I can sense her. I can feel the chill enveloping my body. Is she the reason why the room is so cold?
I pretended not to see her. Thats what i do. I ignore the other world and creatures i see. They're not real, that's what I keep saying to myself. The creatures i usually see are like smoke or a mirage. They go away if i close my eyes long enough or if i shake my head.
But this one aint going away and shes even looking at me funny. I closed my eyes and gently shake my head. You're not real. I keep convincing myself.
After i calm my breathing down i slowly open my eyes again just to shut it because the ghost is literally on my face. Her hollow face and wide eyes just a few inches away from me.
I wanted to scream but i'm just too shaken to do it. This is the first time the images seems so real and even aggressive. I wouldnt be surprise if it starts attacking me. When will this nightmares end? Will my life be like this forever? Im basically haunted. Can I survive like this? Maybe i should just end everything.
As i am about to stand to escape this damn nightmare, Ric hurriedly went to my rescue. I dont know if my eyes are playing tricks with me but i saw his tattoo turn into flames. He touched the whitelady and in instant she disappears while screaming in pain.
"Are you okay?" He asked. He doesnt look that alarmed at all. Thats when i realized what i witness is real. I'm not just imagining things.
"You saw it. You saw it too." i almost scream at him.
"What are you saying?" hes still pretending not to know anything.
"I know im not crazy. All these years ive seen things. A different world non human creatures. And i know you saw that ghost too.
"You cant fool me. Who are you? What are you?"
He turned suddenly serious. "I guess its time for you to know the answer."
