"What happened here? Why is he sleeping like a log?" asked the angel while looking curiously at Niccolo.
"I have to put him to sleep. He saw the whitelady earlier. She just suddenly appeared infront of him. That got him a little hysterical. "
"When is he going to wake up? We cant let him sleep forever. And Where's the damn ghost? Don't tell me you already got rid of her. The devil will be furious."
"I only locked her up."
"If the devil finds this out we are in trouble."
"What is it that i shouldnt find out?" Asked the devil who just appeared out of nowhere.
"Why the hell do you keep popping up like that? Atleast say excuse me. Didnt you learn anything from the humans after all these years? Jesus Christ." the angel said, pretending to be shocked.
"Stop distracting me with your small talk. I'm waiting for your answer. And you better have a good explanation for this mess, Kai." her attention now to the key holder who still looks annoyed.
The key holder breathed deeply.
"Might as well hear the explanation from the horse's mouth." he finally said.
He took out one of his keys and a door materialized from thin air. He put the key in the keyhole and unlocked the door. The moment the door disappears the whitelady appears and attacks him without any warning.
"You bastard, I'm going to kill you." she said as she choked him to death with her cold bare hands. The room's temperature keeps dropping as her temper keeps rising.
But the angel immediately interfered. He spreads his wings that emit a blinding light that stops the ghost dead on its track.
"Relax ghost, I don't want to use force against you." He said. But the ghost keeps resisting. She needs to have her revenge.
"If you dont want to be drag to hell better behave." the devil finally threatened.
Thats when she calms down a bit. The angel smirked sarcastically at her reaction. He wonders whats wrong with being drag to hell. The hell is a fun place to stay for angels who love to punish erring human. Heaven ain't exactly paradise unless you're vegetarian. Heaven is a boring place compared to hell and of course the human world.
"How dare you? You locked me up inside a room. I should have killed you right there and then." shes still pissed.
"You're lucky i didnt throw you in outer space and let you float there for all eternity. You deliberately appear infront him. You know the risks that entails, but you did it anyway." the key holder was equally pissed
"Is that true? What are you thinking?" the devil is definitely frustrated. "Seems like I was wrong in trusting you."
"I have my reasons. I dont get why you're all taking your precious time with this. The vessel you're all looking for is near death. And if you don't find her soon all your plans will go to waste." she informed all of them.
"How do you know that?" the angel asked. He got a bit serious.
"Walls have ears remember?" she said as a mirror appeared in front of them. And there they saw the image of a woman, pale as snow and barely breathing.
"You know where she is?" the devil asked.
"The ghost I was talking to and gave me the information suddenly vanish before spilling anything more. All I know is she's dying."
"Is there a way to find her. You have the power to open doors. I mean you can raid someone's pantry. I'm sure you can enter her room without being found out."
"I cant. I tried it already. I just couldn't find her. The former keyholder was the one who locked her up so she's magically protected. and unless we find the key he forged we won't be able to go to her."
"How about this?" The devil take out the key from its pocket.
"That's the tin can this kid Owns. So you took it, that's why you stay behind."
The angel was surprised to see the necklace. They are not exactly allowed to take anything from the humans. Its against the rules. And the devil is obsessed with following the rules. But the devil also has a strong instinct. The pendant must be really important for the devil to take interest.
"We will have to check then, and find out."
The key holder touched the key and it suddenly turned into flame but instead of melting its real form was revealed. From a tin foil it transformed into gold.
"What does that mean?" The angel asked.
"It means our sleeping human here needs to wake up now cause hes going on a long journey." the devil said.
"We got the key to the Vessel then." The angel was obviously pleased.
"Finally." the ghost said.
