“What do we do now?” Linda beckoned terrified.
“Just keep silence and let us concentrate” Perry whispered as they climbed the stairs.
“This mission would prove abortive, let's just back down” she suggested.
“Why did I ever bring you along! You're just a negative vibe!” Peter yelled, trying to control his anger.
“Didn't you say there are footage here… perhaps, one must have her putting the pins” Perry Suggested and Linda applauded him.
“Yeah Peter, you're quite familiar with the house, so you should know the crook and crannies of the house right?” Linda added as Peter put a wry smile. He hardly goes around the house when he visits, so how could he even recall where things were kept or the different rooms holding her documents?
“We should have just hired hackers instead of doing it ourselves” Peter though, beckoning on them to follow him.
Alexandra got to the place where the caller mentioned,, and she was glad she found him. It was a police officer whom she charged with the responsibility of finding miss Lucy, although other officers were still out there searching, but she hired a private one.
“Take me there” she said, and the police officer took her down the cliff where they came to a river bank.
“So, where's the village?” She questioned confused.
“It's across this river, where the smoke is coming from” he pointed out as she drew closer to see clearly.
“How do we cross over?”
“I haven't figured out yet, but I don't think the river is deep we could walk through it” the officer suggested holding Alexandra's hand to help her walk through the water gently. They got to the other side and came across a small village which was known as Ojai has long been an oasis for artists and free spirits. Located about an hour and a half northwest of Los Angeles, the small town is tucked in a valley among the scenic Topatopa Mountains.
“What a beautiful scenery” Alexandra complimented following the police officer.
“The people here are quite, but that's not why we're here right” she furthers
“According to my discovery and thoughts, miss Lucy and Julie must have flown out of the car into that river we came across before it crash, or probably they were burnt alive either way”
“How are we going to figure out if they were rescued by these people?” Alexandra questioned.
“We will meet the elder here, he should know everything that happens in this town”
Oliver held an ice bag in his hands as he tried massaging Brian's head. He had gotten into a fight with a suspect, which Oliver told him off.
“You can't get the answers you want like this man” Oliver began as Brian groaned.
“Then how? Because from the looks of it? This is all a sheraid!” He roared and Oliver inhaled deeply.
"I got a job for you…”
“Seriously, how does that have to do with keva?”
“Just listen and stay put…this is more than expected”. Brian glanced at Oliver who stood up to air his opinion on the new job.
The media were surprised by the sudden call of miss Lucy's agency. They were going to deliver a speech, perhaps to clear the air speculating around her if she was dead or alive, guilty or not guilty. Director Felix who was in charge of miss Lucy upcoming mount the podium to address the media.
“It is unfortunate that we lost two actresses in the same months from what we've heard so… concerning the news of murder incident, speculating the diseased miss Lucy, I stand as witness that all are just roams and everything has been cleared by the authority. Clara died as a result of heart failure according to her doctor, the story of her dead body being found in the river or she was killed in a hotel room is fake! This is the real report!” He explained providing evidence by showing them a doctor statement.
“So if you don't mind, die down every fake rumors, or you face the consequences” he concluded and questions began to troop in from all angles. Oliver switched off the TV, they have been watching what was going on in the conference.
“She's dead, so what's the need…”
“I don't think so… maybe they are hiding her somewhere to avoid questions being thrown to her directly” Oliver replied boldly.
“Can you hear your evacuation? How does that relate?”
“Believe it or not, my evacuations saved you from being killed by that notorious gangster” Oliver praised and Brian smirked at him.
“If she was dead, why wasn't her corpse found? If she was burnt at least her bones would remain right?” Brian reasoned getting up. He walked into his study room where locations were circled.
“Oliver…we got a ride to go for” Brian muttered and Oliver groaned. Why did he ever say miss Lucy was involved in the death of keva? He just hopes Brian takes the job he was offering him.
